One of the standout features is the ability to customize our Dashboard to fit our specific software requirements. This flexibility lets us track not only events but also cohorts, and it includes heat maps, which are particularly useful. Another great aspect is that it provides access to all the APIs through SWAGGER. Overall, the platform is highly adaptable, allowing us to tailor analytics to suit our needs. What do you dislike about PostHog? The frequent crashes during loading can be quite irritating at times, and I also receive a large number of incident emails. This makes me think that there are many crashes occurring, although they do seem to get fixed periodically. For someone who is implementing Analytics first time it can be a little overwhelming as events and all can be a little too much and might not be easy for to integrate for first time. Implementing Session Replay masking for labels on iOS 26 wasn't that straightforward. I'm aware the iOS SDK mentions buggy behavior because of technical changes in SwiftUI. We have a kiosk iPad app. Whenever an issue happens during payment we need to be able to observe a session recording of when that issue happened and logs so we're able to have a better understanding of the issue. Also that way, we don't have to reproduce every issue that happens locally, that was the old approach and it wasn't sustainable. PostHog greatly helps us with that with session replay. I find PostHog very good at observability, though I'm not sure if I'm making the most out of it right now. We used the session replays a lot, and it would be amazing to get session replays inside our M365 add-ins. It's not user-friendly and it's hard to navigate. I don't really know how to set up a lot of things natively, just feels a little confusing. I use PostHog for analytics on my product, specifically for session replays and capturing evidence on our open source package. I appreciate how the session replay feature helps us understand how users actually interact with our product and identify bugs or UI elements that may not be used as intended. The replays make it easy to see what users are doing on our platform, which is straightforward and insightful. Additionally, the initial setup and onboarding with PostHog were pretty easy and straightforward, which I find quite beneficial. The main feedback I have is that the PostHog platform is quite complex. I use it maybe once a week, and every time it takes me a while to figure out where the dashboards are. It's just frustrating because I end up losing a couple of seconds or minutes just trying to find where the data lives.
