The sample data provided with WebLogic Portal uses the PointBase DBMS. PointBase is a demonstration database ships with WebLogic Server to allow you to use sample user accounts and data. PointBase is the default database when you create a domain with the Configuration Wizard.

**What do you like best about PointBase Embedded?**

I would highlight the easy integration into Java solutions, as its core is written in Java.
The implementation is also relatively easy for quick demos.

As it supports standard SQL, ACID compliance, and easy integration with Java applications, its frequent use for smaller projects is beneficial.

**What do you dislike about PointBase Embedded?**

Customer support is quite challenging. Since PointBase hasn’t seen much active development or updates in recent years, finding official support or up-to-date documentation can be difficult.

**What problems is PointBase Embedded solving and how is that benefiting you?**

PointBase Embedded helps ensuring data consistency and reliability. What stands out is how smoothly it integrates with Java applications—no external setup required, easy integrate in to codebase
