## POINT Reviews
 ### 1. Outstanding onboarding and support—Mina and PIP made implementation easier

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Valerie V. | Volunteer Coordinator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 06, 2026

**What do you like best about POINT?**

I really appreciate being able to connect with Mina, the Success Manager, and having real life people support and onboarding calls. Mina was really great at helping me reach certain bench marks to implement POINT. I also really like that they have PIP, I can ask any question and it's really good at providing helpful info (it does have certain limitations on answers it can provide). I also like that for certain questions, the deeper dive, then someone came, I think a support specialist (I believe someone named Kate)

Because of Mina's support, I felt the helpful push and encouragement to get to the next step for implementation for my non-profit.

Because I could ask Pip questions at any time, I was able to save like half a day - because I'm working on pacific coast and would not be able to get someone on east coast.

**What do you dislike about POINT?**

I would love for there to be maximums on volunteering. So, for instance, if someone tries to sign up for the whole day, that it won't let them.

I think for reporting hours - I think it would be easier if we could just click one box and go down a line. I think right now, having to do a drop down menu for each person is kind of a lot. I like how reporting hours on LA Works is. Report Attendance is it's own section (web page) and you just check each person and then at the end you click a button for all the selected individuals and either click "present" or "no show".

I do however really like that on POINT you can go back and update - for instance if I make a mistake and someone actually was present but I clicked "no show". I can go back and rectify that mistake. I love that.

I would love for there to be a way for me to separate Mondays and have volunteers need to sign up by Friday at say 5pm PT (so close the event by 5pm PT). Since I don't work over the weekends, and I check Monday sign ups again at 930am PT, I miss if people signed up. Would love if maybe Point could communicate the opportunity is closed. Weekend sign ups are a tough one for me to handle. I often miss at least 3 sign ups each week that sign up for Monday. And, at this time, since we don't have a check in station for Point and ask for no drop ins, it's a little difficult.

**What problems is POINT solving and how is that benefiting you?**

POINT is going to be scheduling volunteers, which has taken up a lot of my time as the volunteer coordinator. With Point's support, we can track volunteer hours again and track volunteer retention. It will also allow volunteers to see how many hours they have done, which I think will bring them a lot of joy.

 ### 2. All-in-One Volunteer Management with Easy Implementation and Responsive Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ashley H. | Communications Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 12, 2026

**What do you like best about POINT?**

I like that POINT has everything I need for volunteer management in one place. From the system, I can text or email my volunteers, which has automated a lot of my work as a volunteer manager. We use it daily to track volunteer attendance and hours. It was easy to implement, and customer support is always super responsive. It took about a month to fully integrate POINT into our daily habits. It is also cheaper than a lot of other products out there, and POINT shows you what they offer up-front instead of behind paywalls.

**What do you dislike about POINT?**

There are a few specific features I’m missing, but they’re definitely not deal-breakers. For instance, an auto-refresh option on the check-in kiosk would be really helpful.

**What problems is POINT solving and how is that benefiting you?**

POINT has helped me in many areas as a volunteer manager. It’s made it easier to digitize volunteer files, contact information, and notes, and it automatically tracks attendance and volunteer hours. It also creates reports quickly. Overall, it has helped tremendously with onboarding volunteers and keeping everything organized.

 ### 3. POINT Streamlines Volunteer Sign-Ups and Hour Reporting with Ease

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** April L. | Director of Development and Communications, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 20, 2026

**What do you like best about POINT?**

POINT has greatly elevated our volunteer experience since we first started using it last summer. It makes volunteer applications, waivers, and registrations for our many events so easy! We have a ton of students who volunteer with us for school requirements and the simplicity of downloading reports to show their hours saves us so much time. No more giant spreadsheets, searching for each volunteer by row to then combine their hours -- now the teens themselves can log into POINT and download what they need right then and there!

**What do you dislike about POINT?**

We do have some struggles with our volunteers who aren't as tech-savvy. Once we sit down with them and show them how to use it, they mostly are able to figure it out on their own.

I also wish we could have custom fields included in the shift coordinator sheets, like the ability to include emergency contact information and allergies. I loved being able to add those fields in the application so have gathered that important information, but I have to make and update my own spreadsheet to be able to share that information easily offline.

**What problems is POINT solving and how is that benefiting you?**

POINT making it easy for volunteers to schedule and report on their own hours is the biggest problem POINT has solved for us. As a primarily volunteer-run organization, it took a lot of time for people to get responses of what their hours simply because our process was inefficient. This polishes our volunteer experience and makes us look very well-organized. I also personally love the ability to email all our volunteers or groups at once, another feature that greatly improved our efficiency!

 ### 4. Streamlined, Professional Event-Based Volunteer Management

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kendall P. | Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 17, 2026

**What do you like best about POINT?**

What I appreciate most about POINT is how streamlined the event-based volunteer experience is. The signup flow is intuitive for volunteers, automated reminders reduce manual follow-up, and the hour tracking functionality simplifies reporting. It creates a cleaner and more professional volunteer experience compared to more manual systems. I also value that the platform is purpose-built for volunteer management rather than being a generic tool adapted for it.

**What do you dislike about POINT?**

As we’ve expanded our volunteer management structure, we’ve found that POINT is strongest for event-based coordination but less robust for managing the full volunteer lifecycle. There is some friction when trying to integrate screening, assignment, onboarding, and long-term engagement tracking into one seamless workflow. Greater automation and deeper CRM integration would significantly enhance scalability.

**What problems is POINT solving and how is that benefiting you?**

POINT is solving the problem of fragmented and manual event-based volunteer coordination. Before using a centralized platform, signups, reminders, and hour tracking required significant back-and-forth communication and manual tracking.

POINT streamlines that process by providing a structured signup flow, automated reminders, and built-in hour tracking. This reduces administrative burden, minimizes no-shows, and improves the overall volunteer experience.

It also benefits us by creating more reliable data around participation, which supports reporting, planning, and long-term volunteer engagement strategies.

 ### 5. Beautiful Look and Feel with Excellent Onboarding and Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 01, 2026

**What do you like best about POINT?**

The first thing that drew me in was the site’s look and feel. From there, the excellent onboarding and support have really solidified our adoption of the service.

**What do you dislike about POINT?**

There were a couple of things in the hierarchy of the Programs vs. Events structure that made the integration with our website confusing. Our volunteer positions for our programs are very specific and need to be built in a particular way, which was initially proving clumsy and hard to navigate. Their production team addressed this and got it fixed. The only thing remaining that I wish could be different is having the ability to include multiple locations for a single event.

**What problems is POINT solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As I mentioned in my previous responses, creating the programs widget has been a big help in how we display our volunteer opportunities on our website. At this point, the one remaining improvement we need is the ability for events to have multiple locations per event. If that becomes possible, it would solve every issue we’re currently running into.

 ### 6. Transforming Volunteer Engagement with Ease

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jon G. | Teacher and Coach, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2026

**What do you like best about POINT?**

Review:
Point has been a great addition to our volunteer system. The onboarding process was clear, simple, and easy to follow, which made getting started smooth for our team. What stood out most was the level of customer service—David reached out personally to make sure we had everything we needed and offered support along the way. That kind of proactive care made a big difference.

**What do you dislike about POINT?**

So far, I haven’t experienced any significant issues. As we continue to use the platform more, I’m sure we’ll discover areas for refinement, but the experience has been very positive to this point.

**What problems is POINT solving and how is that benefiting you?**

One of our biggest challenges has been creating a consistent pathway for volunteers to get involved and stay engaged. Point helps us solve that by giving us the tools to engage, equip, and empower volunteers so they can make a lasting impact on kids, families, and the broader community.

 ### 7. All-in-One Volunteer Management with Outstanding Customer Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kenny D. | Streaming Coordinator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 11, 2026

**What do you like best about POINT?**

I do enjoy that everything I need to manage, coordinate and outreach to my volunteers are all gathered in one location; but above all the customer service and attention to helping me understand the tool is the best asset or us.

**What do you dislike about POINT?**

The one thing I am having troubles with POINT is the current messaging capabilities that don't all exist on the platform, where I then branch my communications in different locations. If that is fixed; that will be amazing!

**What problems is POINT solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It just helps us eliminate Volunteer Management with excels, multiple emails and tracking different forms to one easy filing cabinet in itself!

 ### 8. Comprehensive Volunteer Management with Stellar Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shannon B. | Senior Director of Public Relations and Branding, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 16, 2026

**What do you like best about POINT?**

I find POINT to be a very comprehensive software for managing our volunteer process at our organization. It checks all the boxes needed to facilitate getting volunteers for our events, and they look at every aspect of volunteer management, ensuring a representation of what's needed in the volunteer experience. The features like reminders for events, volunteer sign-ins, and tracking volunteer hours are very helpful for us. I also appreciate the incredible responsiveness and support from POINT, which has been above and beyond, quick, and very helpful. It was easy enough for us to handle the onboarding ourselves, although they wanted us to onboard with them, yet they were always ready to respond to our questions. Additionally, the integration through the website widget that shows our framework of events for internal volunteers has been extremely helpful by automating the event updates.

**What do you dislike about POINT?**

Nothing that I dislike. All is positive.

**What problems is POINT solving and how is that benefiting you?**

POINT has streamlined our volunteer management by automating event reminders, check-ins, and hour tracking. It's responsive to our needs, adding helpful features quickly. The widget integrates events automatically onto our site, saving time.

 ### 9. Seamless Volunteer Coordination, Needs Admin App Features

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marci D. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 08, 2026

**What do you like best about POINT?**

I really love using POINT because it helps us effectively coordinate volunteers and figure out how many people we need for each event, which is super helpful. It's incredibly easy for volunteers to sign up and find all the information they need. The calendar slides are simple but awesome. The platform is great for volunteer accountability, allowing us to track engagement and decide if someone has become inactive. I also really like the customizability of each event, which allows us to provide all the necessary info to volunteers. The templates save us a lot of time, especially since we have many recurring events. Lastly, setting up POINT was very easy and intuitive, with helpful resources available online.

**What do you dislike about POINT?**

I would love for POINT to have admin capability on the app. I have to use the browser version on my phone because the app doesn't have the admin capabilities. That's my only qualm.

**What problems is POINT solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I love POINT because it coordinates volunteers, reduces admin overhead, tracks engagement, and simplifies event coordination. It's easy for volunteers to sign up and find information, and it helps us manage volunteer accountability effectively.

 ### 10. POINT Makes Volunteer Management Easy with Smart Templates and Duplicate Events

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cheris Z. | Senior Engagement Coordinator, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 03, 2026

**What do you like best about POINT?**

POINT is very easy to navigate, with a user-friendly layout that makes it simple to move between modules. I really love the duplicate event feature and the customized templates. The groups and sub-groups are also very functional for our volunteer management program. We’re able to assign Champions by division, along with those divisional leaders, which helps keep everything organized.

**What do you dislike about POINT?**

When emailing contacts, it would be helpful to be able to add an email contact directly from the Send Message screen. Please also add an "undo" button within the Send Message screen. Finally, it would be great if the Subject line could be extended to allow more than 50 characters.

**What problems is POINT solving and how is that benefiting you?**

POINT helps eliminate the need for manual Excel tracking, and the ability to download quick reports is very helpful.

 ### 11. Modern, User-Friendly, and Affordable—With Responsive Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Danielle R. | Technology & Collection Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 06, 2026

**What do you like best about POINT?**

We reviewed numerous volunteer management platforms, and POINT was the most modern and user-friendly, with a much more affordable price than its competitors. Onboarding was simple & support has been great so far. We requested development of a new feature, and they followed up with me, letting me know when it was implemented only a few weeks later.

**What do you dislike about POINT?**

A custom landing page about the organization would be nice. Instead, the homepage brings you to any open events.

**What problems is POINT solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have volunteer needs in several departments of our City, each with its own set of volunteers. Using POINT, we have brought them all together, leveraging volunteer interest to gain more engagement across departments.

 ### 12. Essential Volunteer Management with Top-Notch Integrations

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tawnee G. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 16, 2026

**What do you like best about POINT?**

I love how POINT admins are always willing to take feedback to improve or enhance their interface. Many conversations we have had with the POINT staff have resulted in more integrations with other platforms we use, making connectivity as seamless as possible. We can now initiate background checks directly from the volunteer's profile, saving time from creating profiles through Checkr. POINT also updates us when the background checks are complete, saving time from searching for the volunteer's status on the Checkr website. I appreciate that POINT allows us to list events with descriptions and volunteer slots directly in the app, so people can check the app rather than email back and forth to find out what's going on within the organization. I also find it great that POINT offered more integrations and had a better app and interface for pretty much the same price. POINT was willing to work with us to hear what we needed and has continuously worked to apply as much as they could so we were satisfied with the product overall.

**What do you dislike about POINT?**

At the moment, POINT has limited integration with Donor Perfect, which is one of the main apps we use for keeping track of our partners. It's something they are working on actively, so it's not a major issue. Also, POINT's Admin feature doesn't work well from the mobile app. Most admin tasks can only be done properly from the desktop application.

**What problems is POINT solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use POINT to track volunteer hours and organize profile info, eliminating manual spreadsheets. It stores volunteer data like allergies and clothing sizes, easing meal orders and event planning, while providing seamless access to contact info without switching apps.

 ### 13. We LOVE Point! Centralized Volunteer Management with Some Setup Challenges

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anele Z. | Ministry Engagement Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 16, 2026

**What do you like best about POINT?**

I really appreciate that POINT was the most aesthetically pleasing platform we considered, which is important so volunteers enjoy looking at and using it. We love that there's an app for volunteers to track their hours and events across the organization. I also like the general interface and the usability of POINT, particularly once proper training is given. The integrations with DonorPerfect and Checkr are a great feature as well.

**What do you dislike about POINT?**

Tracking the life cycle of a volunteer doesn't work the easiest for us. It's tough to track volunteers from start to finish - specifically if there are trainings and such that they register for and attend - it would be amazing if the application form including an integration with monday.com or another platform in which we gather registrations for training sessions. I'd like if background checks could auto-renew, and if the QR code check-in worked without the volunteer needing the app. I also struggle with duplicate accounts in POINT, which I'd love to see automatically identified and merged. For event updates, it would be better if notices weren’t sent to everyone when minor updates to the event are made. Emergency contacts being auto-filled incorrectly is another issue; POINT should flag this. At present, a vast majority of volunteer profiles have an emergency contact that is listed as themselves - POINT should flag when the emergency contact is the same and prompt an alternative response be given. The process of group tracking and group assignments feels clunky, and I'm still getting the hang of it. Filtering event sign-ups by shift is something I'm missing as we cannot export/create shift coordinator sheets for each shift, making event organization harder than it should be. When a volunteer is assigned, their data (shirt sizes, food selections etc) are not counted as part of overall responses - this is very challenging for big events that require all this data to be accurate. Lastly, the initial setup of POINT was challenging due to its complexity and would benefit from more hands-on support from customer service to mitigate the need for help down the line. I would, also, REALLY like it if age is something that was required so that our demographics could be tracked better.

**What problems is POINT solving and how is that benefiting you?**

POINT centralizes volunteer hour and event tracking, registration, and key information like background checks. It's used for audits, grants, tracking demographics, and organizing volunteers into program areas and groups.

 ### 14. Super Easy Onboarding and Seamless Volunteer Sign-Ups with POINT

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sean J. | Engineering Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 21, 2026

**What do you like best about POINT?**

POINT had a super easy-to-use onboarding flow. It allowed us to quickly create events and clone those events for our youth football & cheer organization. In addition, volunteer sign-up was seamless with respect to integrating POINT's events calendar into our website via an iFrame.

**What do you dislike about POINT?**

Because we used a separate system for athlete registration, it was difficult to cross-reference between that registration system and POINT's account profiles. This is not a defect for POINT. This is more a defect for the situation.

**What problems is POINT solving and how is that benefiting you?**

POINT is a fantastic piece of software. What we previously tracked as massive spreadsheets of volunteer hour data was simplified into an intuitive, modern user experience. In 2025, POINT significantly streamlined how we were able to engage with and check in volunteers for our youth football & cheer organization.

 ### 15. A great system to simplify volunteer management

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tyshon A. | Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 30, 2026

**What do you like best about POINT?**

ease of use, the pricing is a little on the expensive side, but the features are extremely helpful for education purposes. Our volunteers has been able to check in using the QR code which is very convenient for both the volunteer and admin users.

**What do you dislike about POINT?**

I havent found an issues to date. The onboarding webinar time was a little difficult to fit in my schedule.

**What problems is POINT solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before utilizing Point, Microsoft excel is the form method of tracking volunteer. Often realizing data was incorrect and missing information.

 ### 16. Easy-to-Use Management System That Just Works

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 23, 2026

**What do you like best about POINT?**

easy to use management system that allows multiple users to access our events. Equally it allows multiple admins to manage our events and oversee volunteer enrollment. The per user and organization tracking of hours makes it ideal to track these numbers and provide a detailed report for grantors, assisting organizations, and internal review.

**What do you dislike about POINT?**

admin view on mobile app to allow admins to access specific features on the mobile app.

**What problems is POINT solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Management of multiple volunteers who can easily sign up for events our organizations hosts. the integrated tracking feature also makes it an all-in-one solution to properly track and document our volunteers hours and provide reports. Events can be posted and managed ahead of time, allowing volunteers to prepare. It also helps us manage the number of volunteers per event to maximize efficiency better. This resolved our old way of using a google sheet and reaching out to volunteers individually via messenger apps.

 ### 17. Effortless Volunteer Data Tracking with Point

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kristen O. | Volunteer and Education Coordinator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 08, 2025

**What do you like best about POINT?**

My favorite feature of Point is the ease of seeing our volunteer data for specific groups, programs, time periods, etc. It's very organized and efficient. I also like that we are able to add a lot of information to our events, which we weren't able to do with the last platform we were using. When we have questions or issues, it's easy to get in contact with support to get help, and we get answers quickly.

**What do you dislike about POINT?**

I don't like that volunteers have to create an account to sign up for volunteer events- it'd be nice if they had the option to sign up for one event by just answering the questions without creating an account. This is the only complaint I hear from volunteers from time to time. We have a lot of volunteers that only volunteer once and don't want to create an account.

**What problems is POINT solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Being able to easily pull data is extremely helpful for us. After our program started using Point, we recommended expanding use to other programs because we loved it so much, and it's easy to see volunteer data for the organization as a whole, as well as individual programs. It's been easy to implement the use of Point across the organization while keeping our programs' events organized. We have volunteer opportunities 3-4 days a week, so we use Point daily to stay organized, contact volunteers, and report data.

 ### 18. Best ever, kind staff, so easy!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Morrisa C. | Assistant Director of Terry’s Tables Food Pantry, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 10, 2023

**What do you like best about POINT?**

POINT is so easy to use and really empowers our volunteers to sign up for volunteer opportunities and stay in the know without adding extra work to my workload. Any time I have an issue, or an idea to help improve POINT, the staff is always all ears, and tries to fix any issues quickly, and keeps me updated. I think one of my favorite things about POINT and their team is that everything always feels so personal with them. The emails, the quick responses when you need assistance, everything. It feels as though I am working with co-workers in my organization rather than some other corporation that does not really care about its clients or customers. I have used POINT at every nonprofit organization that I have worked with over the last several years. It is honestly the best volunteer sign up that I have used and I have gotten 3 organizations to begin using it!

**What do you dislike about POINT?**

Sometimes there are little glitches, or maybe something does not work right the first time. However, communication with their team always leads to a solution and consistent updates about where they are in fixing the problem. I sometimes wish there was more to POINT, however it is so important to realize that POINT is a smaller organization and things are developing all the time. Since we started using POINT they have grown SO much and have made the app better in so many ways and I am so happy to work with them. I cannot imagine at this time working with a different volunteer management company. Overall, there is not anything I particularly dislike about POINT.

**What problems is POINT solving and how is that benefiting you?**

POINT helps us with our volunteer management. This is the first volunteer management program that we have used at my current organization. With an increase in volunteer inquiries, this makes it so easy to be like "Hey, here is our organization's POINT Page and under the "Events" tab you can find all of our opportunities" (Obviously, there is more fluff with that)

 ### 19. POINT Simplifies Volunteer Management in One Efficient Dashboard

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stephanie A. | Shoppes & Volunteer Coordinator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 24, 2026

**What do you like best about POINT?**

POINT is a volunteer management platform that helps nonprofits recruit, organize, track, and communicate with volunteers from a single dashboard. It replaces spreadsheets and scattered tools with one centralized system that feels much simpler and more efficient to use.

**What do you dislike about POINT?**

It can take a bit of time to learn where everything is and to figure out how to set up events or manage volunteers efficiently.

**What problems is POINT solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Point is helping me recruit Before POINT, many volunteer programs rely on:

Email threads

Manual texting

Spreadsheets

These are inefficient and hard to keep organized.

 ### 20. I Could Probably Teach my Grandmother to use POINT

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 23, 2026

**What do you like best about POINT?**

Intuitiveness and involved customer support

This is counter to the tech world right now but I like that POINT doesn't push AI onto me - the human aspect is the entire point of volunteering and personally I want it involved in my job as little as possible

**What do you dislike about POINT?**

There's been a few small bugs (but nothing workflow-breaking) and some more niche features I wish I had, but troubleshooting with support is always super easy and I've been told multiple times that my desired features are either being worked on or that my feedback is valuable.

**What problems is POINT solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Accurately cataloguing and tracking of volunteers and their service hours within a UX that doesn't make me want to pull my hair out

 ### 21. H.F.T.D. POINT Review

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 11, 2026

**What do you like best about POINT?**

I like that I can see how many hours my volunteers have worked and for what events.

**What do you dislike about POINT?**

I think POINT could use some updates to the email function to make it more customizable/branded for the organization. The 'event template' does not work as a template. It functions as if you were trying to publish a event with all details.

**What problems is POINT solving and how is that benefiting you?**

POINT is solving the tracking of volunteer hours, housing their information, and signing up new volunteers.

 ### 22. Outstanding Support and Intuitive Platform for Volunteer Management

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Environmental Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 07, 2026

**What do you like best about POINT?**

Staff assistance is top notch! They are available for every step in the process. The platform itself is intuitive and includes all the features one would need for volunteer management platform. The only thing missing would be some sort of newsletter integration (like mail chimp), but it seems like we can make do with the Group email feature instead.

Ability to create event templates is also really nice and saves lots of time!

**What do you dislike about POINT?**

When editing an event, instead of fixing one item and hitting update, you have to filter through all the pages before updating - simply these steps for easy and fast changes. Setting times for events is also a bit more complicated than it needs to be.

**What problems is POINT solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Volunteer management made easy! The data tracking is extremely helpful tool for our annual reporting needs.

 ### 23. Point is perfect for Performing Arts Center Volunteers!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Katelyn E. | Operations Manager/Volunteer Coordinator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 12, 2025

**What do you like best about POINT?**

- Creating events is easy and customizable. It allows me to be very specific for the events I am planning, whether that be with event descriptions and expectations, the different shifts or jobs I need volunteers for, or who is able to volunteer for a shift (groups/reservations).
- Point makes it very easy to keep track of (and export) volunteer data and hours. It also makes it very easy to communicate with your volunteers. Instead of copy and pasting hundred of emails I am also able to use Point to reach them. I can also customize these emails by group or event, which is very helpful when I need to update volunteers signed up for a specific event.
- I use Point everyday. The aesthetics and overall set up of the website and app make it very easy to use and navigate (as a volunteer and admin). It is easy to find the information you are looking for.
- Over 60% of my volunteer base is over 60 years old and transitioning all of those volunteers to Point was a smooth process. There are the general learning curves of any new scheduling app, but now those folks (with the occasional hiccup) are independently using Point. It was easy to implement with our volunteers and give them the independence -- this really allows me to be hands off in the scheduling of volunteers. Point is now integrated as a normal part of volunteering with us.
- At our venue we have a few roles that require specific training or certifications (RAMP and clearances) I am able to post those shifts as I would any others and reserve them for volunteers with the specific certifications. Again showing how customizable Point is to your organization's needs.
- If there is ever something that I cannot figure out on my own or with Point's thorough Support Page, I know that I can reach out to them on the Live Chat feature or email and receive a prompt and thoughtful response. The thing I like best is that I know I am talking to real people that know and understand Point. It is much more personal than using a large stores customer service and I really appreciate that. Not only do they help, but they listen. I have made a number of inquiries about experiences I've had with my volunteers and they make note to see how they can better improve the experience.
- I've also attended a few of their monthly webinars/office hours to learn more about different features I could be using or what updates have been added. They are frequently working on the next best thing for Point and scheduling your volunteers.
- My organization uses the basic/free version of Point and you are able to do so much with this version. Do not worry that you will have to pay for a Pro Plan to be able to use Point to its full potential. I have researched and learned a lot about the Pro Plan, and you are able to do a lot for your organization with it. Both levels are great resources for your volunteer needs.

**What do you dislike about POINT?**

- Currently, there isn't a lot of customization for notifications on Point, that being said Point does a really great job at reminding volunteers about events they signed up for, when a spot is reserved for a group, when something is posted/edited, etc. These are great for my older volunteers that may need the reminders, but I wish they had to option to filter what notifications they receive. I have no doubt that Point is already working to improve this aspect of their platform.

**What problems is POINT solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Point helps me manage over 200 volunteers for my events (performing arts). We have anywhere from four to ten events every week, all of which require volunteers in some capacity -- Point has made it so easy to make sure that I have volunteers scheduled where I need them at these events.

**What do you like best about POINT?**

What I like best about Point is how volunteer-centered it is. **Reviewed by:** Roger V. | President, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 11, 2025

Customer service. The software will do everything you need, but it is the personal service you get with POINT that makes them stand out. Madison and Mina are top notch and I would use any software program they are supporting.

**What do you dislike about POINT?**

It complicated. Perhaps our system is complicated and their software and system are reflecting that. Need more usage to get used to everything. Am concerned about onboarding all our sites with POINT. They are not on our calls yet and it will take some work to get them up and going.

I appreciate how easy POINT is to use from the volunteer-side. The app is very intuitive and the website integration is hugely helpful for recruiting volunteers.

It's tough to build the entire platform by yourself, I do wish there was more instruction on the building process.

POINT will help us keep track of our volunteer number and impact, and save administrative time for the staff.

It seems easy to use, to enter people and add them to a group

**What do you dislike about POINT?**

The set up, however that is an issue with any system.

**What problems is POINT solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is streamlining our program management that was previously on an excel sheet.

 ### 33. Plenty of Helpful Guidance Makes Point Easy to Learn

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chelsey H. | Community Engagement Associate Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 18, 2026

**What do you dislike about POINT?**

It's confusing on creating events/programs.

 ### 34. Helpful Shift Management for NonProfit

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 23, 2025

I like that there is a way for volunteers to see available shifts and sign up to volunteer. I also like the tracking of hours and the Quick Add feature.

**What do you dislike about POINT?**

I have difficulty getting my volunteers to use Point, but that is a user issue. I do think that it takes several steps to get to where you want to navigate so that could be improved.

**What problems is POINT solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps reduce the number of hours I was spending to schedule volunteers and it helps me to have all contact information available when I need it.

 ### 36. Continuing to Add New Features

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ja'net Y. | Executive Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 10, 2025

**What do you like best about POINT?**

I love that POINT automatically calculates and totals volunteer hours to a dollar amount. This comes in handy when we need this information for tax purposes ,drafting grants, and RFPs.

**What do you dislike about POINT?**

What I find most annoying is that when I am notified to approve volunteer hours via email, once I click the approve button, I receive a verification message stating that the hours were approved. However, I have to officially log in, go to our dashboard, and approve the hours. I am not sure why this is when I am already logged in from my computer.

**What problems is POINT solving and how is that benefiting you?**

POINT mostly helps us track our volunteer hours and calculates the overall hours year-to-date that were contributed to each organizational program.

 ### 37. Outstanding Support Team, Slight Learning Curve

**What problems is POINT solving and how is that benefiting you?**

hours counting, no paper applications, digital sign in, detailed reporting, background checks

 ### 39. Best Discovery of All Time!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 24, 2025

**What do you like best about POINT?**

POINT is user friendly and has features I am unable to find elswhere in one place and easily integrated with Givebutter. The CRM is fantastic! I use it frequently. The ease of integrating the system into our programs is priceless. I love that I can message all of my volunteers at one time for specific event.. Also the ability to assign volunteering to staff members and the reminder that goes out is a bonus too. I love that It calculates the hours for you which makes it easier for tax time. It is simple and free which makes it affordable for smaller nonprofits like mine. It is the best thing I have found to manage my volunteers at The HOYCE Center. In addition, customer support is quick and knowledgable.

**What do you dislike about POINT?**

The paid version. LOL Though I do understand everything cannot be free.

**What problems is POINT solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allows me to manage my volunteers without having to use multiple systems. It save me a lot of time. I can deligate tasks to other volunteers.

Ease of use for both Volunteers and administrators. Implementation was easy We also enjoy the modern layout and formatting. Customer service is wonderful. We can use this often and the integration with Donor Perfect was seamless.

**What do you dislike about POINT?**

Programs and subprograms are redundant in the volunteer facing platform.

**What problems is POINT solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Making the experience for the Volunteer easier.

 ### 41. POINT is a game changer!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Susan C. | Health Media Specialist , Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

We were so pleased with how easy it was to integrate our volunteer database into POINT. We use POINT every day and for all of our events and activites.

Our staff and our volunteers have given all positive feedback about the ease of use and how easy it was to register as a volunteer. POINT has truly been a game changer for our organization!

**What do you dislike about POINT?**

I honestly have nothing negative to say about POINT. Every experience I have with the support team has been positive and I have had no issues using this platform.

**What problems is POINT solving and how is that benefiting you?**

POINT is helping us to track, contact and gain volunteers for our nonprofit. It is benefiting us in so many way. We have aquired so many more volunteers than we have ever had in the past and this platform makes it so easy for us to communicate with our volunteer database.

 ### 42. User-friendly Volunteer Management Tool

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aurora A. | Office and Volunteer Coordinator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 14, 2025

**What do you like best about POINT?**

The platform is user-friendly for the admins and volunteers to navigate. The customer service team is excellent in providing helpful support, especially during the initial implementation period. The company is also amazing in being open and listening to our feedback to make the tool work best for our organization and volunteers.

**What do you dislike about POINT?**

Currently, it lacks the ability to customize auto-sent emails. However, we spoke to POINT's Product team and they are working on making this feature available.

**What problems is POINT solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps us to recruit and assign volunteers effectively. In the past, it took a lot of time and email communications trying to find volunteers and assign their roles and shifts. With POINT, volunteers are empowered to learn more about the details of the event, shifts/roles available, and sign-up within the platform.

 ### 43. Outstanding Customer Support and Fast Responses

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 10, 2025

**What do you like best about POINT?**

I have received excellent customer support and quick turn around on all my questions.

**What do you dislike about POINT?**

The events based approach isn't as helpful for our organization which has ongoing tutoring opportunities throughout the year.

**What problems is POINT solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We need to get the word out about our small nonprofit and Point is another way we gain exposure to people who are interested in volunteering.

 ### 44. Useful but glitchy

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Clara Z. | Volunteer Coordinator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 12, 2025

**What do you like best about POINT?**

Makes it so much to coordinate people's schedules, send events to people en masse to have them sign up, and track hours. Customer support is top notch -- I encounter random questions the more I use the software and they are able to help me very quickly. I've even suggested some features that they have then implemented! Customer support is absolutely their strenght.

**What do you dislike about POINT?**

I wish I could customize the automated emails sent to volunteers.

**What problems is POINT solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helping me see all my events in one spot, allowing volunteers to self-schedule rather than relying on email back-and-forths with me, ease of tracking hours and seeing event history.

 ### 45. POINT has saved our nonprofit so much time!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jenn H. | Volunteer Coordinator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 25, 2025

**What do you like best about POINT?**

POINT has put so much of our volunteer work in one location! Between event sign up and attendance management to online waivers, the efficiency has saved us a countless hours of management time. The mobile app for our volunteers is so simple and easy to use, we're seeing record setting registration times & overall participation!

**What do you dislike about POINT?**

While there is nothing we don't like, we are looking forward to new features currently on POINTs development plan and are thrilled at how responsive their customer service team has been to feature requests.

**What problems is POINT solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have used a collection of Google docs and drives for volunteer management for years. POINT has taken all of the documents, processes and points of contact and placed them in one very ease to use location for us.

 ### 46. Best application for non profits with excellent support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mukul S. | Board Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What do you like best about POINT?**

POINT not only balances the needs of a non profit to be able to reach out to the volunteering community but also provides volunteers with a best in class user experience through their web and mobile channels. Onboarding new volunteers is super quick and we find volunteers engaging and participating in events in no time. A volunteer myself POINT is one of the most frequent app on my phone. As an admin creating new community service events , setting up an event , approving hours etc , all super intuitive and efficient. The customer service we receive from the support team is responsive and always resolves any request we have in an expedited manner.
For our organization which is a 100% volunteer run, POINT is critical in achieiving our mission.

**What do you dislike about POINT?**

Though the reporting in POINT is quite comprehensive, providing more self service capability to run customisable reports will be very helpful.

**What problems is POINT solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Reaching out, engaging and retaining an active volunteer base who are able to support the orgnaisations mission. As we are a 100% volunteer run organisation , volunteers are our most valuable asset. With POINT we are able to provide them with a best in class experience which ensures that our operations run smoothly and efficiently

**What do you like best about POINT?**

The personalized customer service I had with Jeni Rosales. She answered all my questions and even made a how-to-video for my volunteers.

**What do you dislike about POINT?**

Sometimes it's hard for volunteers to check in because they are off-site without access to a QR code. But Jeni made them able to self-check in :)

**What problems is POINT solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's great that I can post an online application on our website, it makes the onboarding process much easier.

 ### 48. Easy to use interface for volunteers and staff

Point is excellent for allowing volunteers to sign up for our events, and check-in easily. The modern interface makes it easy for staff to set up events and assign them to the correct volunteer groups.

**What do you dislike about POINT?**

Point doesn't have every feature that we are looking for, but they are super responsive and always adding helpful new features.

**What problems is POINT solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The biggest problems solved by Point are allowing volunteers to sign up and check in to events, which allows seamless tracking of hours.

 ### 49. POINTAPP points you to opportunities to GO! M*A*D (Make A Difference)!

POINT wants you to be successful recruiting and managing your volunteers.

**What do you dislike about POINT?**

Sometimes...SUPPORT does not respond in a timely fashion

**What problems is POINT solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our biggest problem was recruiting AND managing our volunteers. Recruiting means we have enough volunteers to serve our guests. Managing includes onboarding and reporting. To this point (at least three years), reporting is simple. Onboarding, on the other hand is beeing developed and refined.

 ### 50. Point is Hands-Down the best Volunteer product available

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Holly Y. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What do you like best about POINT?**

It is forward thinking, well designed, easy to use and has all the 21st century Web 3.0 and App based features you want in a modern Volunteer Management System. It was incredibly easy to set up. Integrates perfectly with our website and offered a plethora of features on the free plan, making it easy for smaller organizations to try. The few times I've had to contact customer service they have responded quickly and thoroughly and the online customer self-service support is excellent and well written. I use Point daily and it has become an essential tool for our Volunteer Management.

**What do you dislike about POINT?**

Honestly, I haven't found any features I don't like yet. It is leages better than anything else I've seen. It is a new generation of product and handily solves a lot of the challenges of the older systems I've encountered.

**What problems is POINT solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Listing opportunities easily on our website. Recruiting and communicating with Volunteers. Hosting private opportunities for Volunteers and groups.
