**What do you like best about PMG Platform?**

The PMG Platform has top of the line app developer and workflow developer tools that makes it very easy to create apps 
 for our customers. These tools also make implementation extremely easy when migrating solutions between dev, test, and prod environments. The PMG team's customer support has always been top notch. They are quick to provide solutions to any issues that we report.

**What do you dislike about PMG Platform?**

Additional documentation for the development tools would be great.

**What problems is PMG Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The PMG Platform enables us to easily and quickly develop new apps and workflows that help our users request services from our fulfillment teams.

I am always able to reach out to our rep with questions and requests. Our rep gets back to me as soon as possible with an answer. If they do not have an answer - I still receive follow up on the progress!

**What do you dislike about PMG Platform?**

I do have some mistrust with the searching feature of the platform based on early experience but with the help from our rep, that is being mended.

Loving the reminders I receive to my email so I don't miss out on anything during a case.

**What do you like best about PMG Platform?**

PMG's capabilities range from Easy to configure and lauch service catalog to any advanced webdev configuration you could need. If you have the desire to build something, you can probably build it with PMG.

**What do you dislike about PMG Platform?**

Occasionally Documentation can be out of date. They make up for this with excellenct direct customer service, but it does sometimes limit the ability to self-serve troubleshooting.

**What problems is PMG Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The PMG platform is helping us run our business more effectively. We're able to connect data across systems and reduce/eliminate a lot of the manual work that had been done before due to systems not talking to each other. Additionally, we've been able to streamline formerly manual request processes with some smart gudance in forms that reduce churn and speed up service delivery.

**What do you like best about PMG Platform?**

The best part about the PMG Platform is by far the customer support. PMG consultants are always willing and available to help us quickly dive into our business challenges. Our company is able to accomplish a lot in the platform thanks to our partnership with PMG.

**What do you dislike about PMG Platform?**

Although it's a low-code platform, there's still a pretty steep learning curve. As somebody new to development work it took quite a while to understand the intricacies of how the different functions of the platform work together. Sometimes troubleshooting can be a black box and not always super intuititive.

**What problems is PMG Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The PMG platform allows us to automate a wide variety of business processes.

**What do you like best about PMG Platform?**

I loved the client support from PMG.  They were always available and response through the whole project live cycle (vendor evaluation, selection, implementation, and post launch).

**What do you dislike about PMG Platform?**

The biggest issue we had was migrating cases from our prior system provider.  We had a lot of prior cases (data) to migrate.  PMG admitted they under estimated the difficulty of migrating, user access to migrated cases, and system performance impacts of all this migrated data.  However, I still give them credit for a great job.  They continued to work on it and addressing the issues until it met our needs for both access and system performance.

**What problems is PMG Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Management o Human Resources and Loss Prevention Cases for Retail Business.  Organizing and tracking of cases as well has archive history.

**What do you like best about PMG Platform?**

PMG has been a great partner to work with. Their base solution met the majority of our needs and they developed enhancements to meet our highest priority gaps. Their support response time is exceptional.

**What do you dislike about PMG Platform?**

Our specific implementation required a data migration and we decided to lump together many data fields into one. As a result, searching for migrated data can take a while.

HR case management. Specifically, tracking case progress, notes, and history.

The PMG platform is easy to use, easy to implement new projects, it handles complex workflows very well, it has many different connection options, it's very easy to integrate with our systems. The customer service/support team is always quick to reply.

Customer support! Aaron Klein is quick to respond to any questions or request. He was receptive to our company needs and did the best to customize our requests.

Searching for cases. We imported cases from our old platform and searching for those cases can be difficult.

PMG's tools for tracking, reporting, and notifying is benefical for case load.

**What do you like best about PMG Platform?**

Our company is a Japanese financial institution with a hierarchical organization and complex operations that are different from US practices, so PMG's products do not fit our needs as they are. Still, thanks to the developers' flexibility in making suggestions to include our procedures, we migrated several workflows into the system.

**What do you dislike about PMG Platform?**

The reverse of the above is that the core functionality (Delegation) that was the deciding factor for the implementation and that we had hoped for was not available as we had expected. There are limitations of the product that the developers' flexibility cannot overcome.

**Recommendations to others considering PMG Platform:**

I haven't used similar systems, so I can't compare them, but it's a fantastic product that can answer some complex customer needs, depending on the developer's skill.

**What problems is PMG Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With the sudden rise of work from home by COVID, the paper-based operation was replaced by email without preparation, and we could not handle the growing number of emails. Regular approvals via emails were shifted to the PMG product, which reduced the number of emails and the effort required to track them.

Angular and React, the front-end technologies, are not a part of this platform and should be integrated. Bootstrap and CSS should be made more user-friendly—improvements to form designer.

Its flexibility and ease of use. Fully Configurable and extendable platform. The workflow works absolutely great as it is easy to use, can do alot and is easy to learn.

I would like that the front-end to get a little bit better. It can do better by providing read-only workflow permission, allowing users to see how the workflow is configured without editing.

The PMG Platform offers many extraordinary features such as Workflow, Forms, Dashboards, Application Portal, varieties of pricing levels. Users can quickly configure applications.

Ability to compute complex processes. The reusability of the workflows is impressive. Approval workflow automation, back-end processes. User Interface is great.

**What do you like best about PMG Platform?**

The PMG platform is user friendly and provides the tools required for a very fast ramp up of service offerings requiring varying degrees of workflow complexity.

**What do you dislike about PMG Platform?**

For complex services, knowledge of advanced coding is required.  These are generally a small percentage of offerings but like most workflow based platforms may take a some time to plan and effectively build.  The ease of adding simple tasks does help to mitigate delivery time.

**What problems is PMG Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have streamlined everything from simple pc requests to complex business applications to cut costs across the company.  We have reduced time to onboard large groups by more than 25%.

**What do you like best about PMG Platform?**

The tool is relatively simple but still has many capabilities so that many different types of processes can be implemented. Also, everyone I have worked with or talked to at PMG has been very helpful and knows the tool's capabilities well.  They take feedback into account, and over the years, there have been multiple suggestions that we have made that PMG has implemented.

**What do you dislike about PMG Platform?**

It would be nice if there were more granularity in permissions.  A lot of permissions are tied together.  A recent example was the addition of Lists, but the ability to edit them is tied to the Catalog permission, which also gives the ability to edit all Forms, Shared Forms, etc.  Though PMG has taken some of this feedback and implemented, for example, the read-only workflow permission, allowing users to have permission to see how a workflow is configured without being able to edit it.

**Recommendations to others considering PMG Platform:**

PMG is an excellent tool for automating workflows, from simple to complicated.  People without any coding knowledge can pick up the basics quickly, but there is also the ability to configure the platform for more complex business processes.

**What problems is PMG Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I worked on the implementation of PMG to automate our New Product Introduction process, which is a complicated business process, as well as an improved UI from our previous solution.

Some times it is hard to find an easy way of finding tickets by users.

The technician and support team have been wonderful.  The product PMG has been extremely helpful in the employee IT processes and also the Dealer body.  Before PMG the IT department failed almost every audit.  We did not have forms to show we had the proper signature and approvals.

**What problems is PMG Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We had a lot of manual process that we are now using PGM to accomplish.  This is freeing up our users to approve via email and  not need to have the paper flow.

I am very certain that you will get more benefits than investment from not only the platform but also the entire PMG team.

Due to covid, work-from-home situation has continued over two years.  WFH becomes one way of working style as new normal.  A number of legacy paper-based business processes in my organization have been transformed into the platform to accommodate them online.  The next landscape involves integration with other industry-standard systems, RPA, and in-house build systems to automate manual tasks, streamline key business processes and gain higher ROI.

The new form and app desinger. The rich integration with external technologies like AD, REST API, Service Now, SQL, etc. Developing the business needs is easy, robust, and fast.

While working with a massive amount of data, the report editor response is slow also. If we need to process the same data upfront, it is pretty costly.

We are automating complex business scenarios rapidly with minimum defects. Things are easy to maintain and understand.

The cooperation and the amount of support we receive by Aaron Klein and Claudia Sastre is just excellent. They have been amazing and so supportive in every way.

There is nothing that I dislike about working with PMG. The program that they offer is covering everything that we are looking for in a voucher platform. I would not have any items on the needs improvement list.

We are setting up a voucher creation platform that will make our work at Porsche Cars Canada way easier and way less manual. This platform will not just benefit Porsche Cars Canada but our customers and our Porsche Centre's as well.

Flexibility, could be used for all kind of request.
Power of form configuration: Largely more possibilities than simple HTML form elements
Workflow automatisation: Everthying what can be automated can be done by this platforme.
Support very responsive, evolution of releases with always a lot of new features and improvements

**What do you dislike about PMG Platform?**

In a mutlilingual context it's sometimes tricky to manage localization.
Online documentationis not always up to date.
PMG Community could be more active

**Recommendations to others considering PMG Platform:**

Simple processes are really easy to integrate, of course complex processes need more experience.
A little bit of coding knowledge is helpful (SQL, concept of IFs, LOOPs etc)

**What problems is PMG Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We approach to integrate nearly all IT service requests to this tool.
A software Portfolio, useful to manage software distribution.
Powerful automations for ETLs, business processes, reports ...

**What do you like best about PMG Platform?**

The platform is straightforward, easy to navigate and use, and intuitive. Requests for changes and upgrades are done quickly and effectively. The system provides multiple users with different experiences all being coordinated in the background which is a wonderful thing. I receive constant praise of the system and look forward to seeing what else it can do for us.

**What do you dislike about PMG Platform?**

While also a benefit in the way of symplicity, the system is a little plain jane. All black and white, a little color wouldn't kill anyone. ; )  I have also run into an occasional bug where the system gets hung up or stuck for a minute, that can be frustrating at times.

**What problems is PMG Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In addition to what other business units in our company are using the platform for our group is using it to distribute, claim and process goodwill gift vouchers to our customers. The platform has created a central database to create individual numbers, verify them so that they can't be used twice or at separate dealerships and provide a safe, and straightforward way for our dealerships to submit them quickly and error free. Acceptance or rejections are seen by all instantly on top of individual notifications which makes the system great for providing consistent updates to all interested parties.

**What do you like best about PMG Platform?**

The workflow engine works absolutely great.  It's easy to use, can do a lot and is easy to learn.  It also makes troubleshooting a breeze as you can view, in detail, what happened and all your variables anywhere in the workflow execution.  I've used other platforms from larger companies and this functionality is not there.  Other platforms really leave you to guess why your workflow didn't execute as expected.

**What do you dislike about PMG Platform?**

Could function a little better as a fulfillment platform.  The work Inbox works well but could display large amounts of work a bit better and be more configurable.  Overall it still works well.

**What problems is PMG Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are able to put in basic services in our Service Catalog fast, often to the surprise of our clients.  On the other side of the complexity spectrum, we are able to work with APIs easily and put together integrations quickly, which makes us look like absolute rockstars.  When other teams ask about integrating, we are always ready from a technical perspective.

**What do you like best about PMG Platform?**

The backend capabilities are robust.
As a vendor, PMG is very accessible and responsive.
Very cost effective product licensing.
Cost effective training.

**What do you dislike about PMG Platform?**

Mobile user experiences are not great. 
Online documentation is lacking.
The mechanisms to package and migrate changes across environments are not as mature as others in the space.
Training is available only through PMG.
Application and underlying data store (DB) are separate.  Requires direct management of the DB to configure application workflows and logic.

**What problems is PMG Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

PMG serves as our Service Catalog for employees to request goods and services and mechanism to approve related requests.

We have also built custom workflows around complex custom processes related to risk reviews, onboarding, and other similar structured processes.

PMG's table manager allows for managing tables and data without direct management of the database, but can be limited. To address that, we are introducing a new capability in 21.3+ to allow codeless creation and management of data, including migration options, that work across the portal, forms, apps, and workflows.

Package manager is helping address some of the challenges around migrating solutions across environments and we plan to keep iterating on improvements there.

**What do you like best about PMG Platform?**

We have been able to take a very difficult workflow and place it in the PMG tool.  It has handled all of the corresponding requests and assigned tasks to the system administrators.  We are able to better manage incoming requests from the business.

**What do you dislike about PMG Platform?**

We need to improve the communications from the tool to the end user.  We are also looking to vastly improve the ticket queues and task assignments.  In today's system we have too many orphaned tasks.

**What problems is PMG Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are using PMG to handle all incoming services requests.  Our workflows for system access requests and role assignments are more complex.
We also use PMG for business forms and simpler approval workflows.

**What do you like best about PMG Platform?**

The ability for us to use the plaform within multiple departments in our company. The history and tracking it provides as well. Also the low code platform and the ablitly to adjust the forms to match our business. Being able to create and adjust my own queues based of my own filter criteria is a nice perk.

**What do you dislike about PMG Platform?**

Limited out of the box searching criteria. I wish out of the box there was a better more in depth search history.

**What problems is PMG Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Problems solved were cross team communication. The benefit is a more seamless communication intra company.

**What do you like best about PMG Platform?**

There seems to be very little the PMG service catalog application can't do.  We have used it as a solution for many different problems.  We began using it in the IT department and its use expanded into some of the company's core business areas.  The workflow engine is very robust as well as easy to use.  It integrates well with other systems.  The company personnel are very responsive and provide a personalized level of support.

There have been some challenges getting upgraded to the latest version of the product but PMG's support team is there to provide hands on support to ensure the upgrade goes smoothly.

**What do you like best about PMG Platform?**

I think the platform is really slick and it allows you to do some pretty complex things in a short amount of time. You can easily spin up API Endpoints to catch web hooks or tie two disparate systems together, Need a scheduled job to run a repetitive task? Build a workflow and set it on a timer. You just need to know what you want to accomplish and how to accomplish it with the PMG platform.

**What do you dislike about PMG Platform?**

I only thing that I could say that I dislike ... and using the word dislike really makes this sound worse than it really is...... is that the platform lacks the ability to run custom code for languages other than C#. For example, I'd like to be able to schedule a workflow that runs Python or JavaScript code. This isn't necessarily a must have, but it would certainly be an added bonus and give the Platform flexibility to do more. I'd rather use the PMG platform for all my development.

**What problems is PMG Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We've been able to standardize our integrations and build tools that make future integrations between systems easier. We can build standard, re-usable packages that can be deployed using the built in package manager. We can maintain this in the PMG platform, instead of having to manage things like AWS, Repositories and more.

**What do you like best about PMG Platform?**

Huge selection of pre-built actions.  Designer is pretty intuitive.  Great debugging and troubleshooting capability.  Love that you can re-run a failed workflow.  There is a lot of automation built in and their API capabilities are awesome.  Very easy to create reports and forms.  They have a great support team and are very responsive.  They listen to their clients' feedback and their release cycles are consistent.  They always come up with new impressive features with every release along with implementing requested features quickly.   One of the best partner I have worked with in my 23 years of career.

**What do you dislike about PMG Platform?**

They need to include a tons of sample workflows and apps.  Their documentation is getting better but having working samples would be an awesome addition.

**Recommendations to others considering PMG Platform:**

You won't regret it!  I have tried a few other "low code no code" tools and this one beats them all.

**What problems is PMG Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Integrating with third party tools and adding additional functionalities which aren't part of our core product.  We have built a lot of orchestration and built very successful products like Return to Work/Campus, Vaccine Appointment Management etc.

**What do you like best about PMG Platform?**

We have almost 4,000 users of this system, requesting almost 18,000 products, security requests, business functions per year. I am the lone support for this system and this is only one of the systems I support. If you get a proper set of workflows put together from the get-go, this is not a problem. A great majority of these requests are for access to various other systems.  I am able to provide almost instant access for the requester after the automated approval process has been completed.

**What do you dislike about PMG Platform?**

I find the reporting capabilities are rather limited.  However, I am not on the most current version of the system and I've heard that the newer database structure and reporting features are much improved.

**Recommendations to others considering PMG Platform:**

It's my job to make others' jobs easier.  PMG allows me to do that.

**What problems is PMG Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Although purchased primarily to fulfill IT service requests, we also use for credit approvals for our customers, requesting access to various business groups, even for facilitating purchase processes for outside customers.  We use the connector for CA, which allows us to create tickets for various user support groups (desktop, Workday, Service Desk).  Very helpful to let our various support groups work in their preferred platform, but keep the users up to date on progress.

**What do you like best about PMG Platform?**

I like the flexibility in both the form and workflow to do both simple and complex solutions. The platform is easy for development. Most things can be accomplished with simple fields or steps. If you are looking for a answer to a more complex solution, the tools are available to do this. The workflow especially adds power to  solve a problem. The workflow can route a request based on answers to the form or and run automation via APIs.

PMG improved the Work Dashboard so that it is so much easier to use. It allows customized views which almost makes it a reporting tool.

**What do you dislike about PMG Platform?**

I don't like that there is not much you can do to move a field left or right on the form when using a dynaform.
I also find it hard to pull data out of the platform. It is a great tool for gathering data, but it is hard when I need to use additional tools to pull the data for reqporting.

I would recommend giving it a try. The PMG platform can solve most problems if you are creative.

**What problems is PMG Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are able to process requests both manually and automatically while getting accurate information from the customer. Our company has such a variety of work intake tools, most of them inadequate, that people find PMG Service Catalog as  a refreshing solution. The platform makes it easy to submit a request and then track it via status or by looking at the workflow. I think that overall it has made many of our processes faster and has made both customers as fulfillment teams more productive.

It does take some time/investment to get up to speed on the platform.  And if you aren't working in the platform all the time, you can get rusty.  You either need a dedicated team to learn and stay up to speed or you need to use vendor resources for changes and maintenance.

They are always bringing forward fresh ideas and new technology with every release.  I know that when we use PMG we are getting the best they have to offer and I never hesitate to upgrade to a new version!

PMG could do a better job with their documentation and release notes.  It is hard sometimes to know what great features they have released and we often find out form our consultation team about new features instead of being able to read and learn about them on our own.

Document management function is not provided in the system but needs to be linked to an application outside the system, such as Share Point.

The sudden WFH was forced by the outbreak of COVID and the substitution of paper-based operations with e-mail approvals, which resulted in a massive volume of e-mails and prevented approval leaks.

App Designer is PMG's beautiful new baby, but it still has a long way to go

**What do you like best about PMG Platform?**

The best aspects are use of visual, drag and drop actions to create workflows. Another great selling point is the rapid response from PMG company for new features and tweaks.

**What do you dislike about PMG Platform?**

Due to the pace of enhancement sometimes the Help lags behind the new features and this has been a bit of a friction point in expanding our PMG usage. The "customer" UI doesn't really meet our needs and we find we write full UI's in standard code platform (GCP, PCF, Node, etc.)  then use PMG for the "engine" behind the actions that the user can initiate from that UI. I wish we got more value from the app side of PMG.

**What problems is PMG Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Operationalizing repetitive IT tasks that used to take multiple teams with data handoffs along the way and simplifying down to workflows with a clear visual path. Putting control into our server owners' hands for patching activity by using PMG as a gateway to functionality performed in other deployment systems.
