Pictory AI Reviews & Product Details

I am really happy with this product! It's such a time saver! I had a video that was over 1 hour long and I wanted to make a short video of the most important information in the video. This tool allowed me to easily make a short, 5-minute video within minutes. now I can also easily convert my blogs/articles, scripts & images into a quality video. Brand settings is great, I can set all my intros, outros, fonts & colors to repeatedly use in my videos. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Limited Text formating, should have more options Intro & outro templates are very basic Downloading a video takes significant time, it should be reduced Voiceovers are not human-like, they sound robotic Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It was easy to make the long content into a short video. The video quality was too high. Production of the video also in less than 6 minutes. This way we can save a lot of time. Transcriptions are working so well on this platform. I edit videos daily, and this made my all days wonderful. Thanks for the whole team. However, the company roadmap looks so promising, and grabbing Pictory now is a good investment in existing features, and this definitely had a bright future. There are also the other sections of creating videos, which to be honest I didn't give a try, but have had a play around with. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

All was good but one thing I need to say that is to improve the text styling otherwise overall a good deal. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We just started with YouTube and podcasting. Pictory provides transcribe features very well. Really accurate compared to others. Also, it's very user friendly. We have some people in our team who are not "tech" person and Pictory can be used on 3 clicks max. Just upload a video or text then transcribe and that's it. Upload it to YouTube and done. Published. No more headaches. Also, voice over. You can even upload or record your voice for a selected video. Also missing some integrations. There is no option to publish a video directly via native integration. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Fetching and downloading a video takes a lot of time. Normally about 30 min. - 1h. This is quite a lot. Also, some voices sound very robotic. I prefer to use our natural voice rather than Pictory voices because when you are listening to it it's honestly like a robot. Also, they could add more languages than English. Multiple brands would be also great. We have 4 companies and we can manage 1 brand under 1 account. Also, more options for editing a video would great too. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

From the time VIdnami is gone from my life, I have been looking for an alternative, I see pictory is something (which if they keep doing the good work) has the potential to become peoples go to; Please read the following to make a choice

PROs:

Accuracy of speech to text is great.

Filler words removal

Captions burn in option

10 hours transcription for tier 1 and so on

text to video is great. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

CONs:

in ability to correct a whole sentence or paragraph, you have to go word by word (sometimes when it catches multiple words wrong, its better to write a whole sentence and feed it there instead of doing one by one)

their text to speech is not that great yet.

inability to change the duration of the scenes

no animations or stylings for captions. (it will be a super creative idea if you guys can add animations or styling to captions believe me) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Shutter Stock Footage and Audios

TTS feature is great

The transcription functionality is mind-blowing. So many hours are available in the package. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The video editor is great, but there is space for improvement.

I dislike that I can't use multiple audio files and BGM for different scenes in the video.

Sometimes the AI can be hit and miss for choosing a suitable piece of stock content to support the context. I hope this improves in time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The main reason I purchased Pictory was to repurpose my written content into video. I really enjoy using their "text-to-video" feature, especially as you can upload your own images and even record your own voice over. The tool is intuitive to use and I know it will get even better over time. The ability to edit video by editing text --- wow, this is incredible! Highly recommend if you want a quick, easy way to use more video in your content creation process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

- sometimes the images it chose to match the text was not quite ideal. I just swapped those out for different images. - would love to see more images/videos added to the library - looking forward to the ability to change the font of the captions to match my brand fonts (currently there is only one default font available) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Pictory is a video creation powerhouse that combines Vidnami's intuitive user experience and Descript's powerful media editing capabilities in an easy-to-use, seamless platform. Yes! The transcription function alone is worth the money, not to mention all of the other features. I can't imagine how much time it would have saved me if I had this feature SAAS I first started my work projects involving transcription. I love the multi-language transcription function on this software.

Below are more features that I enjoy :

♥ Highlights automatically identify the most important segments of your video

♥ 1 click removal of filler words and phrases

♥ Media / B Roll Library

♥ I found it easy to use. It does a good job of saving time, and the pricing is reasonable.

♥ Texts (Article, blog posts, press releases…) to videos

♥ Subtitling, Trimming, and more

♥ Unlimited projects and Shutterstock videos and images stocks

♥ Voiceover-to-Video and much much more coming Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I love the tool. It's a very promising one indeed ad there’s no single doubt about that. Despite this, AI isn't quite at its best when it comes to selecting relevant texts for summaries or relevant images and clips for scenes. Currently, text-to-speech functionality is limited. It would be awesome if the platform was integrated with better text-to-speech platforms, such as Wellsaid Labs and Lovo Studio

It would be a major Plus to have the following features implemented:

♥ The ability to import a voiceover that covers all slides rather than one per slide.

♥ Additional fonts and the ability to add custom fonts

♥ Transcription Module having the capability to access YouTube content in addition to the regular video uploads.

♥ The ability to create clips from highlights in each project.

♥ Organize projects and upload files in folders Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Fundamentally, you don't really have to edit. Just paste in your transcript, make a few clicks and it MAGICALLY makes the video with AI voiceover! Oh and it can transcribe text FROM an uploaded video and you can edit that video by deleting words from the text! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It needs better AI voices, like from Google or Microsoft. But apparently, that's in the roadmap! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Pictory is very easy to use. UI/UX are clean and minimal with almost no learning curve to get started right away. The A.I. to create a video from text or blog on the go is very handy. However, some fine tuning is necessary since depending on the content being created, the recommended images or video may not be suitable. Nonetheless, it is easy enough to find other recommended alternatives, or replacing it ourselves with what we want to upload. What I like most is the ability to edit video by text and the transcription with great accuracy. This is a real time saver for me, and I think it is the strong point of this tool for my use case. - A.I. are still not that great in terms of selecting appropriate media. But this could be the limitation of the stock available. Some topics get good selections while some get unusable ones. -Text-to-Speech voices are still limited but usable. Anyway, more options in the future would be welcomed. - More languages please. As of now, it is very accurate for English, but please add Thai also. - The text editing options are very basic. - No team function for collaboration. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

- Provides features similar to Descript. You can edit a video by deleting words from the transcription of the video!

- Stock footage available and is used by the AI, which smartly selects the appropriate stock footage to match your video script.

- Ability to quickly create shorter snippets of a long video by the AI automating what it thinks are the highlights of the video and generating just those parts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

- It does take a bit of time to render the videos so I hope to see a bit of a speed improvement or optimization in this area.

- There are some bugs and glitches here and there that I'm sure can be ironed out with time. My uploaded videos don't show up in the preview - although it is visible in the final downloaded version. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
