# Which ecommerce platform handles order fulfillment automation well enough that your team stops doing manual SKU lookups?

<p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true">I'm putting together a piece on<a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/categories/e-commerce-platforms"> </a><a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/categories/e-commerce-platforms">ecommerce platforms</a> for ops teams specifically, and I'd like to understand which platform handles order fulfillment automation well enough that a team can stop doing manual SKU lookups. Manual SKU matching is one of those things that feels like a minor annoyance at 50 orders a day and becomes a full-time job at 500. The platforms that actually solve it tend to do it through very different mechanisms.</p><p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true">What practitioners consistently say they actually need for this to work:</p><ul>

The manual lookup usually survives automation for one specific reason: bundles. The customer buys one SKU, the warehouse picks three, and if the platform tracks the bundle as a single inventory unit, someone has to translate. That translation is the lookup, and routing automation never touches it. Curious whether anyone killed it inside the platform itself, or whether the fix always ended up being a WMS owning the mapping.
