I like that PDS Vista combines talent acquisition tracking, structured new-hire onboarding, employee master-data management, and built-in compliance logging all in one system. It suits our mid-sized German HR service company perfectly because most core workflows work out-of-the-box without complicated custom coding. I appreciate the tightly linked candidate-to-employee record structure that allows smooth conversion from candidate profiles to active-employee profiles, eliminating manual data transfer and reducing errors. The immutable audit-trail functionality is crucial for German GDPR compliance, offering detailed logging for every data edit, which drastically lowers compliance risks and audit-prep workload. The configurable onboarding checklists make it easy to adjust tasks for different types of staff and monitor progress. What do you dislike about PDS Vista? While PDS Vista delivers solid core HCM functionality for our HR-operations and talent-acquisition work at Personalpartner Süddeutschland GmbH, it has several clear shortcomings that create recurring friction in our day-to-day German-based HR workflows. First, navigating between modules requires a lot of repetitive clicks. Switching from applicant records to employee master-data, onboarding checklists, and audit logs is not streamlined. For example, when I review a candidate’s interview feedback and then need to pull up their later employee file after hiring, I have to go through multiple menu layers, which adds small but cumulative time overhead, especially when I process batches of new hires. Second, its native custom-reporting tools demand fairly technical know-how. Simple pre-built reports exist, but if I want granular HR insights such as candidate-source breakdowns or onboarding-completion rates filtered by hiring department, I cannot build those easily on my own. I either have to export raw CSV datasets and work heavily in Excel, or open support tickets to request custom report builds from the vendor. What problems is PDS Vista solving and how is that benefiting you? Before we switched over from CIPHR, our HR team dealt with a lot of messy manual work. Candidate interview notes, applicant information, and employee personnel records were kept in separate places, so data would often get duplicated or misplaced when we moved people from recruitment into active employment. We spent hours chasing missing forms and double‑checking details, which slowed down hiring cycles and created real GDPR‑related traceability risks. PDS Vista fixes that data fragmentation for us. It brings recruiting tracking, employee master files, and onboarding workflows all under one roof. Once a candidate accepts an offer, their existing application history transfers straight over into their personnel profile, so we avoid tedious manual re‑entry and human typing mistakes. The automated onboarding checklists guide document collection and stakeholder approvals, keeping new‑hire processes on track. Its built‑in audit trail is especially valuable for our German compliance work. Every adjustment to personnel data is logged with timestamps and user information. We no longer need to piece together edit histories manually when audits come around. I like how PDS Vista is specifically built for Hong Kong’s HR and payroll compliance. It handles MPF contributions, Hong Kong salaries tax, leave calculations, and deductions exactly according to local laws, so we don't have to manually adjust anything or worry about compliance errors. I also appreciate its focus on being stable and reliable, especially for core HR tasks, which means payroll runs smoothly every month with almost no issues. The strong leave and attendance management is also a plus, as it lets us set up all types of leave in line with Hong Kong labor laws, automating the approval process and syncing with payroll. While PDS Vista is solid for compliance and core payroll, there are several areas that feel outdated or create friction for our team: The user interface is very dated and not intuitive. The design looks old, navigation is menu-heavy, and some functions are hard to find. New staff take longer to learn because the workflow isn’t modern or user-friendly. Simple tasks often require too many clicks. Mobile experience is weak. There’s no good mobile app or responsive web design for employees to check payslips, apply for leave, or view leave balances on the go. Managers also can’t easily approve leave remotely, which is inconvenient in a hybrid work environment. Limited automation and workflow flexibility. Great User interface, well designed and easy to use and train the employees Provides great Talent Acquisition functionality ,one can assign stages of progress, maintaining referral information. Great payroll Management capabilities, easy to implement and point and click features greatly simplifies the the issues our HR team was facing earlier as we maintained everything on excels. Easy to maintain tax brackets and update payroll based on the gross packages, helped us to cutdown on crumb-some manual calculations for the same. Vista is a very user-friendly, easy to learn and flexible, that's why it has been quickly accepted for all the HR team. It allows us to completely manage all the HR, benefits and payroll we need. The reports are done just great and this process can quickly be saved in excel for sorting and analysis. Vista has an excellent customer support! I have solved all my issues by just consulting them. Also, Vista allows us to distribute the types sort and subtotal by type, and finally provide a grand total for the FEIN. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about PDS Vista? I would like Vista could add a print icon so it can ease this process. Also, Vista does not allow to see a history of all transactions per employee, which would be very helpful. We use Vista as a tool for HR activities and benefits. We have set Payroll so it can enhance reports to support account balances in our general ledger. There is about 20 managers with full access to see all employee information, but most of them have "Read Only" access, so sensible information can't be shared.
