Is Payroll Partners free, or does it offer a free trial?

Who is Payroll Partners pricing best suited for?

Based on G2 reviewer demographics and sentiment, Payroll Partners pricing is best suited for mid-market companies with 51 to 1,000 employees. The majority of G2 reviewers fall within this segment, spanning industries including IT services, marketing, information services, wholesale, and human resources. These reviewers consistently praise Payroll Partners for consolidating payroll, HR, compliance, and time-and-attendance into one system, which justifies the custom-quote pricing model for organizations managing complex workforce operations. Enterprise reviewers in facilities services and IT also report strong satisfaction. Small businesses with tighter budgets and simpler needs may find Payroll Partners pricing less competitive, as noted by G2 reviewers in marketing and advertising.

What are the key differences between the free and paid versions of Payroll Partners?

Payroll Partners offers no free tier or publicly listed pricing tiers. According to G2's pricing data for Payroll Partners, the pricing model is based on custom quotes tailored to enterprise needs, meaning prospective buyers must engage directly with the vendor for cost details. G2 reviewers do not reference a free trial or freemium option. Payroll Partners's paid plans, as described by G2 users, cover payroll processing, tax filing, benefits administration, time and attendance tracking, and HR management within a single system. Pricing concerns surface in at least two G2 reviews, suggesting Payroll Partners's pricing is negotiated rather than standardized across a fixed tier structure.

Is Payroll Partners considered good value for its pricing?

G2 reviewers present a mixed but generally positive value picture for Payroll Partners. The majority of reviewers rate it 4.0 to 5.0 out of 5, citing automated payroll processing, tax compliance, benefits administration, and time-and-attendance integration as strong returns on investment. Mid-market and enterprise reviewers consistently highlight efficiency gains and dedicated customer service as standout value drivers. However, at least two G2 reviewers flag Payroll Partners pricing as expensive, with one small-business reviewer explicitly calling it costly and complex for smaller operations. The consensus across G2 reviews of Payroll Partners is that mid-market and enterprise buyers receive strong value, while cost-sensitive small businesses may find the investment harder to justify.

What do you like best about Payroll Partners?

What I like most about Payroll Partners is its unified workflow for multi-location payroll. It smoothly pulls time-and-attendance records and auto-calculates multi-state tax withholdings for our hourly and salaried staff. The employee self-service portal is great as it cuts down benefit-related support tickets and allows staff to update tax forms and view pay stubs on their own, reducing repetitive HR-payroll inquiries. The platform consolidates tax filing, benefits, and W-2 processing in one place, streamlining our bi-weekly runs by reducing manual data entry, especially for our multiple branches. What do you dislike about Payroll Partners?

Payroll Partners' custom ledger mapping is limited, and its QuickBooks sync occasionally misposts multi-branch payroll cost allocations, requiring me to manually adjust journal entries. It also lacks flexible native ACA reporting templates for our mixed hourly-salaried staff. I spend extra time compiling datasets to satisfy FLSA wage-hour rules and US GAAP accounting requirements each quarter. I'd like improved granular QuickBooks GL mapping to auto-allocate labor costs without manual adjustments, as well as native ACA 1095-C reporting templates and built-in wage-hour audit alerts for FLSA compliance. More customizable payroll exception notifications would help catch overtime or deduction errors early. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
