Privacy concerns, I try to keep all of my payments private in the settings, but it's weird how your network is aware of what you are buying - whether it be that Pizza that violated your diet or something more nefarious like what was going on with Tyler Skaggs and the Angels. I wouldn't use it for large transfers - like if I was buying a house lol - but for small payments between friends, family - even strangers at a Garage sale, I like it. Very bad experience with Venmo as a seller. While the app works fine as a buyer, sellers beware!

I maintained two Venmo accounts - one personal and one for business - both managed through a single app. Without warning, the Venmo app on my iPhone started crashing repeatedly and became completely unusable. I spent hours attempting every published troubleshooting step with no success.

When I tried reaching customer support, I discovered an absurd catch-22: phone support never connects you to a live person, and you're constantly redirected to their help center, which is only accessible through chat... in the app. The same app that wasn't working! It's impossible to get actual help when you need it most.

I love the ease of use. It's very easy, and most people have Venmo. I definitely value the feature that allows me to connect with friends who also use the app, which is important because the friends are saved, and I don't have to remember or download their Venmo code each time we exchange. I really appreciate how fast and seamless money transfers are now. I hardly ever carry cash anymore, so it’s incredibly convenient not having to find an ATM or worry about exact change.
