What problems is Payhawk solving and how is that benefiting you?
Payhawk helps us manage supplier onboarding, purchase orders and expenses in one central platform. The interface is clear and intuitive, and everyday navigation is generally straightforward. Having these processes together gives us better visibility and reduces the need to manage them across separate systems.
However, several limitations mean we have had to develop workarounds. The purchasing module is missing basic features such as line-item numbering, an item-code field, delivery-address selection, and displaying the delivery address on the PDF copy of a purchase order.
The goods received note (GRN) functionality is also limited. The most frustrating issue is that users must receipt the whole purchase order rather than individual lines. This makes partial deliveries harder to record and can make the order history difficult to understand later.
Payhawk is also helping us with supplier onboarding, although the current process is limited and feels similar to completing another purchase order or expense form. A more dedicated and streamlined supplier-onboarding experience would be a significant improvement.
In the expenses module, automatic invoice reading does not always start, so we sometimes need to upload a file again to trigger it. When it works, the extracted information is usually broadly correct, although it still needs checking. Split invoicing also needs improvement: the entire invoice amount is often assigned to the first line instead of being distributed correctly. This is particularly frustrating when the purchase order and invoice already have matching lines and items.
I do not work closely with the integrations, but they appear to function as expected from my perspective. I am also not involved in pricing decisions, so I cannot comment fairly on pricing or overall ROI. The platform itself generally performs smoothly, but manual corrections and workarounds reduce some of the potential time savings.
My experience with Payhawk’s support team has been excellent. I was only partly involved in onboarding, but the team listened to our requirements and made a genuine effort to help us throughout the process. Their responsiveness has been one of the strongest parts of our experience.
Overall, Payhawk provides a useful central place for supplier onboarding, purchase-order management and expense management. It has a solid foundation, an intuitive interface and strong customer support. However, the purchasing, GRN, supplier-onboarding and invoice-processing features need further development before the platform can deliver its full potential. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
