## Pastel Reviews
  ### 1. It is like figma but much more user friendly!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Karla G. | Project Manager, Marketing and Advertising, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 30, 2025

**What do you like best about Pastel?**

It eliminates long meetings that could be emails, and also gets rid of vague emails. Once you manage to make it work it is very easy to use. Leaving comments and attaching files is super simple.

**What do you dislike about Pastel?**

It requires creating an account and downloading a chrome extension that many clients do not feel like doing. Also it is not that popular so you cant really find a lot of tutorials or information. Wish it was more accessible so clients were easily persuaded to use it.

**What problems is Pastel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Very long meetings with clients where you have to take a lot of notes or go back to your ai note taker to get the action points. As well as getting rid of long emails that are vague and require mutiple attachements.

  ### 2. Streamline Your Marketing Approval Process with Pastel"

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aamir M. | Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 20, 2023

**What do you like best about Pastel?**

What I like best about Pastel is that it simplifies the process of reviewing and approving marketing collateral, making it easy for teams to collaborate and provide feedback on live websites, PDFs, and image files all in one place. It also has features such as work statuses, @mentions, and tags to keep track of progress and streamline the approval process.

**What do you dislike about Pastel?**

One thing that could be improved on the pricing page is the lack of a clear comparison between the different plans offered. It would be helpful to have a detailed breakdown of the features included in each plan, and a comparison chart to easily compare the different options and select the plan that best fits their needs.

**What problems is Pastel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allows to organize feedback with labels, make copy changes, attach images to comments and test responsive websites. All of this is helping teams to save time, catch costly mistakes before launch and move faster as a team.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Fedieson L. | Freelance Graphic Designer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 16, 2022

**What do you like best about Pastel?**

Pastel is a much better method of providing feedback on designs rather than trying to do it over email.

**What do you dislike about Pastel?**

Maybe this has less to do with Pastel, but when I send a Pastel board to some clients, they can't understand how to use it and just send me an email anyway.

**What problems is Pastel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Compared to the current Adobe tools that accomplish the same thing, Pastel is still better at providing feedback on designs.

  ### 6. I love Pastel!

Enterprise or custom pricing plans for large agencies would be welcomed!

**Recommendations to others considering Pastel:**

It's incredibly easy to test Pastel and see if it will work for your team. We found it very easy to get up and running quickly, and then scaled up once we knew it would be an effective solution.

**What problems is Pastel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Pastel is meant to organize the QA process when building and designing websites. It makes it fast and easy to organize feedback from a variety of people.

  ### 8. Pastel Review

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 24, 2021

**What do you like best about Pastel?**

Pricing on Pastel is much cheaper than its competitors in the Market.

**What do you dislike about Pastel?**

It has a limited number of features, which limits the purpose that it is made for.

**What problems is Pastel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Content Management is the base function that we use it for.

  ### 9. Great features, monthly subscription rate too high

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ashli S. | Digital Marketing Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 10, 2020

**What do you like best about Pastel?**

I like the simplicity: paste in a link of a page you are developing, and send it to team members for review. Their feedback gets noted in the corresponding space on the page with details about their platform, browser, etc...

**What do you dislike about Pastel?**

Monthly rate of $49 too high for the amount of time I need it. There should be lower priced tier options.

**Recommendations to others considering Pastel:**

Keep an eye on them and see if they offer more pricing tiers

**What problems is Pastel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Streamlined way to coordinate team input

  ### 10. Simple and worth every penny

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Elliot M. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 27, 2020

**What do you like best about Pastel?**

Love the simplicity of it. The tool saves hours of going back and forth with developers and designers. What's helped us the most is during the web design phase. There's so many little edits that need to be done on different pages. Sending screenshots with arrows or trying to explain the edit you'd like was a very tedious process. Pastel solved all of that for us.

**What do you dislike about Pastel?**

There's nothing I dislike. It's been easy for everyone to jump in and start using.

**Recommendations to others considering Pastel:**

For the problems it solves, it's absolutely worth the price. You can learn how to use the software in as little as 3 minutes and it's free to send other users the links to look at your comments/changes. You don't need 20 users to make the product useful.

**What problems is Pastel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The constant back and forth communication of what to change and exactly where. It simplifies everything. This was a major issue for us as we have web developers in India and the language barrier was causing some minor issues. By point to exactly what we needed changed, we were able to make changes to the sites much more quickly.

  ### 11. Easily collaborate around a file

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mark B. | Director, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 11, 2020

  ### 12. Great customer feedback tool for website design

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kris A. | Co-Owner, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 27, 2018

**What do you like best about Pastel?**

Simple feedback tool that works for even the most stubborn non-tech-savvy customer. We can send a client a wireframe/prototype website and get instant feedback related to actual items on the page versus generalized notes sent over by email without any context.

**What do you dislike about Pastel?**

iPhone compatibility when in mobile browsers is unusable at the moment. (They are aware of the issue)

**Recommendations to others considering Pastel:**

Give Pastel a try for your next (or current website) project. We've implemented it for small revision changes for a live project.

**What problems is Pastel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Pastel is taking care of our revision round email stream overload. Website revisions are tough especially when the client is on a smaller screen than i typically work on.

  ### 13. Great for website change management and design

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 07, 2018

**What do you like best about Pastel?**

The interface lays on top of your site, which prevents duplications
Super easy to comment and call out specific features, text edits, and open to live collaboration between client, developers and designers
So much faster than traditional methods of feedback

**What do you dislike about Pastel?**

It can be slow, and sometimes toggling between comment view, live view, etc is not super intuitive
Always a challenge to manage the right feedback at the right times, but that's a process to work through within the team
Would love to be able to comment with thumbnails or photos

**What problems is Pastel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Managing website feedback, design, text, and any other revisions
Faster and live feedback between multiple members, transparency in communication
