# Which TMS actually holds up for enterprise shippers running complex, high-volume freight networks?

Hey G2 community, I'm putting together some notes on Transportation Management Systems (TMS) for larger shippers, the kind running multiple carriers, multiple modes, and freight volume that breaks anything built for a five truck operation. Most generic "best TMS" roundups don't separate what works at that scale from what just looks good in a demo, so I went through enterprise segment reviews specifically.

A few platforms kept coming up:

GoComet (4.9 stars, 242 reviews) leads the Enterprise Grid, and reviewers at bigger companies mention it cutting freight spend through automated rate procurement and catching disruptions before they turn into delays.

project44 (4.7 stars, 747 reviews) shows up constantly for supply chain visibility at scale, with enterprise reviewers pointing to strong container and shipment tracking across a large carrier network.

SAP Transportation Management (4.3 stars, 86 reviews) is the one people describe as powerful but demanding. It's built for large, embedded SAP environments, but more than one reviewer flagged a real learning curve before teams get full value out of it.

FarEye (4.7 stars, 330 reviews) gets called out for last-mile orchestration and bulk order routing, which matters if your enterprise operation includes a heavy final-delivery leg.

Pando (4.6 stars, 77 reviews) comes up from Fortune 500 style shippers for tying procurement, execution, and payments into one system instead of three separate tools.

For anyone running a TMS at real enterprise scale, how much of your decision came down to how well it plugged into existing ERP or WMS systems versus the actual transportation features? And has the learning curve on something like SAP TM been worth it once your team is fully ramped up?

At enterprise scale, I’d want to know what happens when the network stops behaving normally. Handling routine volume is one thing; rerouting shipments, changing carriers, or dealing with disruptions across modes is where operational complexity really shows. For teams using these at scale, which platform required the least manual intervention when plans changed mid-shipment?
