What problems is Parabola solving and how is that benefiting you?
Parabola is solving one of the most persistent problems in operations and logistics: the gap between data and action. It enables us to build and deploy workflows that provide critical visibility—without waiting for full system integrations. I’ve used it to create real-time reporting on dock activity, in-transit shipments, and inventory movement, empowering teams to make faster, more informed decisions.
Each week (and often daily), I use Parabola to automate processes that would otherwise require engineering time: extracting data from PDFs, emails, carrier APIs like UPS, and internal platforms like Looker, then transforming and routing it into spreadsheets or dashboards that frontline teams rely on to plan labor, manage exceptions, and stay ahead of issues. These automations replace what was once manual, reactive, and error-prone with scalable tools built by someone who understands both the data and the operational needs.
For example, I now measure our Dock to Bin time—how long it takes for shipments to move from unloading to inventory—end to end, something we previously couldn’t quantify. I built a workflow where I receive a PDF via email with prior-day delivery data → extract and clean it using Parabola → merge it with receipt records from Looker → push it to a shared spreadsheet → and visualize the results in Looker Studio. Before Parabola, we had zero visibility into these dock dwell times. Now, we’re able to proactively track, investigate, and resolve delays in near real time.
In another workflow, I combined data from Uber Freight and UPS (via API) with allocation forecasts and routed it all into a live planning sheet used by DC managers. That sheet became essential for labor planning and inbound flow management.
Beyond that, I’ve built hundreds of flows that power decision-making across transportation, inventory control, and warehouse ops—especially in areas where data isn’t readily available through traditional systems. These flows automate complex logic behind the scenes while surfacing insights through intuitive, spreadsheet-like interfaces that entry-level users can interact with daily.
Parabola gave me the ability to deliver high-impact insights and tools—without waiting on an engineering sprint. The workflows I’ve created now support cross-functional teams and enable faster, smarter decision-making across the business. Where data access is limited, Parabola bridges the gap with automation that’s both powerful and approachable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
