Having used the scanner daily, this reviewer finds PaperStream convenient for handling large volumes of documents. The user interface, particularly for saving files, is confusing and detracts from the overall experience.

"PaperStream offers high powered scanner settings along with decent mid-powered capture software"
4/5
What do you like best about Paperstream Capture Pro?

I like the user interface-- it is simple and easy to use. The scanner drivers themselves are quite capable and with a Fujitsu scanner, you can capture really clean images. There is a decent amount of capability with PaperStream Capture along with some good tools for basic automation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Paperstream Capture Pro?

PaperStream Capture is probably best suited for small to mid-sized jobs. During stress testing, I found that the software will begin to slow and choke if you run enough documents through the software at once. Additionally, we have found that there are some issues with the OMR functionality to where it doesn't quite suit our needs. That said, Ricoh has been very open and transparent about the feedback we provide them on their product and they seem to take it very seriously when developing new versions of the software. Once set up, it works as advertised and helps cut down on manual labor. Customer support is great! OCR is accurate and quick. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Paperstream Capture Pro?

Setup took a while to get it to work correctly. Occasionally stops "talking" to my scanner. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A reliable all in one scanning solution"
5/5
What do you like best about Paperstream Capture Pro?

We use PaperStream every single day. It delivers outstanding scanning performance. It consistently produces high quality scanned images and its image cleanup features save us a great deal of time. The speed, accuracy and reliability make it an invaluable tool for any business with high scanning demands. It is incredibly simple to install and scanning profiles are available to the whole computer, rather than per-user as some other scanning applications are. This is a huge plus for us as it means we don't have to copy scanning profiles to other user profiles. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Paperstream Capture Pro?

Both the software and driver are feature rich, however the settings UI could use some quality of life improvements to require less clicks to access and make changes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Ellen Zarate of Paperstream Capture Pro

Thank you for your review. We're glad to know your PaperStream solution handles daily heavy lifting with ease and accuracy. Your feedback on improving the settings UI is appreciated and noted for future improvements.

"Effortless Setup, Seamless Fujitsu Integration"

What do you like best about Paperstream Capture Pro?

I like that PaperStream was easy to deploy and fairly easy to support. There were very few issues with the software itself. Also, the initial setup was very easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Paperstream Capture Pro?

Nothing that we've come across Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Ellen Zarate of Paperstream Capture Pro

Thank you for reviewing PaperStream software, Randy! It's good to know that setup, deployment, and support have gone well for your team. Please note our name change: formerly Fujitsu, our solutions are now sold under the RICOH brand -- nothing's changed but the name.

"Disclosure ... what is that?"
0/5
What do you like best about Paperstream Capture Pro?

I cannot use the product. It was never explained we cannot use it attached to a cat6 cable if we are running windows VMs. It appears it only works if attached to the machine via usb and networking is not even an option. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Paperstream Capture Pro?

If I liked the part I cannot use the product best, you don't want to hear all the four letter words I have to say regarding what I don't like. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
