## About SaturnSQL
SaturnSQL is a collaborative SQL editor and database client for teams that need shared, secure access to their data without handing everyone raw database credentials. It runs in the browser and as a desktop app for Mac and Linux, so analysts, engineers, founders and operations staff can query the same databases, save their work in one place and share results with the rest of the company. SaturnSQL connects to PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle Database, Amazon Redshift, ClickHouse and Google BigQuery. Connections are set up once by an admin and shared with the team, with role-based access so viewers can read reports without being able to run or edit queries. Connections support SSL, SSH tunnels and a static egress IP address for databases behind a firewall, and credentials are encrypted at rest. Accounts can be protected with two-factor authentication. The editor includes schema-aware autocomplete, a schema browser, query history and a shared query library organised into folders, so the SQL your team relies on is documented, versioned and easy to find instead of scattered across Slack threads and personal notebooks. Results can be exported to CSV and Excel, turned into charts, or pinned to dashboards. Scheduling is where SaturnSQL replaces a lot of manual reporting work. Any saved query can run on a schedule with minute-level precision and deliver its results to Google Sheets or Slack automatically. Teams use this to keep live spreadsheets in sync with production data, send daily KPI summaries to a channel, or feed finance and sales reports without a separate ETL or BI tool. Failed runs back off automatically and surface in the app so nobody is surprised by stale data. For teams moving off PopSQL, DBeaver, DataGrip, TablePlus or Navicat, SaturnSQL offers a lighter, team-first alternative: shared connections and queries out of the box, no per-seat licensing for desktop installs, and no infrastructure to host. A REST API with scoped keys lets you run queries and pull results from your own scripts and automations. SaturnSQL is built in Finland, hosted in the EU, and offers a free plan for individuals and a 14-day trial of the Starter plan at €19 per user per month. AI-assisted SQL writing is available on the Pro plan.

  ### 1. SaturnSQL Automates Scheduled Queries to Google Sheets, Huge Time Saver

**What do you like best about SaturnSQL?**

I was honestly running queries manually and then copy-pasting the results into Google Sheets every week. SaturnSQL lets me schedule that instead: I can choose a query, point it to a sheet, set it to run daily or weekly, and it just runs automatically. The results show up already formatted and ready to use. It sounds simple, but it’s saved me a surprising amount of time.

**What do you dislike about SaturnSQL?**

It’s still under heavy development, so a few things can behave a bit oddly here and there. That said, when I’ve reached out to support, issues have been fixed quickly. I’d also love to try the AI query editor, but it isn’t publicly available yet.

**What problems is SaturnSQL solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have data spread across multiple databases, and we used to juggle different tools just to query it all. SaturnSQL brings everything into one place: you connect your databases, run queries, and share the results with the team. The scheduled exports to Google Sheets have completely replaced our manual weekly reporting. With less tool-switching and less copy-pasting, we have more time for actual work.
