**What do you like best about oVirt?**

What I like most about oVirt is that it’s fully open source with no licensing costs, yet still offers powerful features like live migration and high availability. The web interface is easy to use, and being based on KVM makes it reliable. Overall, it’s a strong free alternative to solutions like VMware vSphere.

**What do you dislike about oVirt?**

What I dislike about oVirt is that it can be complex to set up and manage, especially for beginners. The documentation and community support are not as extensive as more popular platforms, which can make troubleshooting harder. Also, updates and new features tend to come more slowly compared to alternatives like VMware vSphere.

**What problems is oVirt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It also provides built-in features like high availability and live migration, which help minimize downtime and keep services running smoothly. For me, this means better resource utilization, lower costs, and a more reliable and flexible environment without needing expensive solutions like VMware vSphere.

**What do you like best about oVirt?**

The customisation of VM's and ability to manage them with ease.
Increasing VM Size and spec without drama
Moving and migrating works well(most of the time)
Vastly better than some of the competitors(vsphere)

**What do you dislike about oVirt?**

The need to rebuild the OS on major versions and the need for downtime to upgrade.
Struggles to migrate machines from host to host if they are large or busy
not very clear with error messages

**What problems is oVirt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Making it easy for users to manage their own machines and admins to get an overview of specs where machines are located along with managing the disks and locations

**What do you like best about oVirt?**

Ovirt is fully opensource, which is perfect.
Good for testing labs
Integrated tools (Cloudforms and manage-iq) works out of the box.
Nested Virtualization works nicely.
UI is really nice, tenant and tag definitions are perfect.

**What do you dislike about oVirt?**

Can't be installed on Debian/Ubuntu.
Snapshot issues, When you create a snapshot, be careful.
Gluster Storage issues (not stable)
Cepth Storage issues (not stable)
NFS problems.

**What problems is oVirt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Virtualization, unfortunately on our production environments we had issues and we decomissioned oVirt.
