"Quick to learn"
4/5
What do you like best about Oracle CPQ?

I like that I can go directly into BMI from SF. Once you get the system down, it is fairly easy to enter opportunities, contact information of clients and track progress of the work. It's also easy to go back and see what you entered or someone else entered to review. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Oracle CPQ?

I commonly get an error after something is saved that says "Sale Fail" which is extremely frustrating because sometimes entering an intricate opportunity with tons of detail takes an hour plus and we aren't able to get anything back and have to re-enter everything when we get this error. "Slow"
3/5
What do you like best about Oracle CPQ?

Well it is quite concise and easy to work with when you are aware of what each button does and so it also requires a bit of technical know how but this is simply the way CRM systems work anywhere I suppose. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Oracle CPQ?

The software is at time unresponsive and this slows productivity to an occasional full stop which is a bit annoying at times. Furthermore, I find that it also quite slow when replying to basic inquiries and even simple clicks. For this reason and several more, I am hard pressed to be able to recommend this software to other people. I would gladly suggest SAP over Oracle in this regard. "CPQ Power User"
5/5
What do you like best about Oracle CPQ?

I love how many options the software offers with extensive detail. It really provides a leg up on the competition during the sales process. This product is a must! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Oracle CPQ?

The product is a few iterations away from being easy to use out of the box. There are a few improvements that can be made in the UX that would complement the incredible data utilization. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Good for Functional use, could do a lot better with UX"
4/5
What do you like best about Oracle CPQ?

The customizability, people who are developers like I can easily write code and extend the core functionality to do different things a customer asks. The document builder is somewhat modern and more often than not it would solve the customer needs.

The formula management is also a great feature and has lot of promise. The price cases of customers generally involve automation and manual edits. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Oracle CPQ?

Very very hard to use, reporting and analytics capabilities are far from ideal. The feedback loop and documentation can be a little better, especially with respect to learning management system.

The support team generally puts the ball to another team or general non-availability of expertise with a lot of onus on customer orchestration teams

Requires a lot of training and since the UI is not there, hard for salespeople to show interest especially if the software adoption was a top-down mandate(which it is in most cases)

Hard to compete with a Salesforce CPQ demo during the consideration phase because of the User Interface. Same with reporting and analytics Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
