**What do you like best about Oomnitza?**

That Oomnitza provides the ability to orchestrate lifecycle processes across all IT assets, from purchase to end-of-life, is fantastic. No more manual processes!

**What do you dislike about Oomnitza?**

The GUI could have been better, but it works for the task we do manually on the platform even though it's possible to automate most things. But again, not a big problem, but a better UI is always treated with excellent backend features.

**What problems is Oomnitza solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's automating most of our flows. Let it be integrated with different systems/platforms that send data to Oomnitza & we do not have to worry about discrepancies anymore.

With limited experience using Oomnitza i've found it difficult to find anything that stands out as a dislike.

Oomnitza solves many issues that would arise around asset management. The software allows you to track the status of all assets included.

Data import is very easy and the Dashboards help share data to our Team in many ways!

The filters take time to respond and can be a little clunky.

We are working now to automate our Fiscal Year/Quarter/Month/Week calendar as that is the way we look at our data.

**What do you like best about Oomnitza?**

We have been using Oomnitza for a couple of months now. Working with the Oomnitza team to get our instance created and migrating over our existing data was a smooth and quick process. The team was very thorough in ensuring that all of our requests were addressed and suggested features/strategies to optimize our experience using the tool. 

While I have not needed to contact them much for help, the tech support team has been friendly, knowledgable, and timely in responding.

The tool is very capable and customizable. The ability to create custom workflows within Oomnitza is a huge plus.

Integrations work well and coupled with custom workflows, we are able to control what data is added.

Upgrading to Oomnitza for managing our assets has been tremendously helpful in managing our computer fleet and allowing our service desk team to be more efficient and provide higher quality service.

**What do you dislike about Oomnitza?**

My main issues with Oomnitza so far is that the UI could be more user-friendly. As an example, when updating an asset's information, if workflows run after clicking on the save button, you will need to manually click the refresh button in order to see the updated results. It was explained that this was because of the time delay for running the workflows, but it has caused confusion on some occasions.

In terms of migrating changes from dev to prod, it would be nice if the software would automatically choose the components that need to be migrated instead of having to manually select each one. Especially being a new user to the tool this has resulted in a trial and error process to make sure every necessary component gets updated when implementing a change.

**What problems is Oomnitza solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Oomnitza has allowed us to have a better awareness of the state of our hardware devices. With integrations like Jamf, Intune, and Jira coupled with workflows to help automate data entry, we are able to have confidence in the accuracy of our data. Knowing the service history of a device, its age, location, etc. allows us to assist our employees better when they experience issues with their equipment.

Asset management integration. This will help us be able to better manage our assets, especially on a large campus and on a global scale.

The mobile app needs some work. It would be nice to have more customization. We're looking forward to the mobile app update at the end of the quarter though!

The platform is a straightforward application. It is customizable to our needs.  It does have an excellent selection of API integrations particularly with MDM applications that are popular in the field.

**What do you dislike about Oomnitza?**

Cost is based on asset volume and not user licensing. There have been some significant updates that have caused some of our API integrations to stop working. I would have liked Oomnitza's support to have done a better job of communicating changes.

**Recommendations to others considering Oomnitza:**

Make sure to have your listing of system requirements.  Oomnitza is very customizable. Determine how many assets you will have and how many you will aquire long term. Check list of API integrations.

**What problems is Oomnitza solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Right now, we are using Oomnitza to track device EOL cycles, Locations audits, and vendor contracts. Soon we are trying to implement Oomnitza on taking inventory with our school's musical instruments. Some third-party vendors catalog with SKUs, IDs which we like imported into our inventory system. Automation would occur when orders are fillfilled.

Mostly, the ability to filter by multiple values within one field.  Also, the filter saving feature is extremely useful.  Also, direct data import from CDW is great to have.

**What do you dislike about Oomnitza?**

Nothing specific to "dislike".  But, one item that stands out is the lack of granular control over fields. There's room for improvement in some areas, but the vendor has been responsive to user input.

Mainly, getting the purchasing data injected directly was a major game-changer for us.

**What do you like best about Oomnitza?**

There are a few things that I really enjoy about this product and the company offering it.  It's extremely easy to build workflows to shape your data and automate new data coming in.  The support provided by the staff behind the product is also fantastic - my customer success manager Natalie is very attentive and knows the product well.  If I have any questions or issues, they are usually sorted quickly between Natalie and Sam from their technical support team.

**What do you dislike about Oomnitza?**

Some of the legacy connectors, such as SCCM, feel a bit restrictive due to how they are built.  Some of the UI/UX feels a little counterintuitive.

**What problems is Oomnitza solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Being an ITAM software, we are using Oomnitza to solve our ITAM related problems.  We can quickly provide reports for our audits without having to spend a lot of time.

Not much to dislike..very customizable  One thing that I would change is the filters in search are "sticky"  & sometimes results in search errors

**What do you like best about Oomnitza?**

Being SaaS-based and agentless for collecting hardware and software assets, Oomnitza is a very low administrative application for IT teams. Because of this, it allows you to focus on the output from Oomnitza (Managing your software and hardware assets).
The integrations with Jamf Pro, SCCM, In Tune, and Okta are turn-key solutions. The dashboards and block building for automation are leading edge. Customer Service is excellent.

**What do you dislike about Oomnitza?**

I think the user interface, while acceptable, could do with a bit of modernization.

Simple and effective.

**What do you like best about Oomnitza?**

I love that Oomnitza integrates with our supplier (CDW) and our MDM (Jamf) to make managing our assets and reporting so seamless. I never have to really worry if anything is out of date or that we haven't recorded any of our purchases into the system. If we do buy anything one-off, we can easily add it manually with no problems. I also like the dashboard to get  quick view of the stats of our assets,

**What do you dislike about Oomnitza?**

The reporting feature can be a bit overwhelming considering all the options available to organize data. Sometimes not all of the data which would be nice to have pulled from Jira doesn't come through (serial numbers). Not sure if this is due to an issue or if it's possible at all.

**What problems is Oomnitza solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Pretty much what I wrote in "what I like best". The automated data capture from JAMF into Oomnitza just made things so much easier. Automated asset management was a huge win for our small team and saved so much time. It has also helped improve reporting for our Finance and Accounting teams so that they have a much more accurate picture of our inventory, and who these assets belong to. Being able to track end-of-life data, warranty information, and loaners were also huge plusses for us. The software asset discovery via Jamf will also be instrumental in tackling our shadow IT problems!
We are definitely looking to add more integrations into Jira to help us automate things further. We will also be adding Airwatch as we use this for the management of our non-apple products.

Oomnitza provides a holistic view of all hardware and software assets.  The integration library with tools such as Jamf and Okta make it easy to automate data flows between systems and provide a richer set of asset data.  The workflows help to drive better management and reporting of asset information.  Each module provides rich customization of fields and visual layouts of data.

**What do you dislike about Oomnitza?**

The team at Oomnitza still needs to improve their main website by creating a community to help support the product and grow the knowledgebase of customers and those looking to learn about asset management.

**Recommendations to others considering Oomnitza:**

If you are looking for a robus asset management tool, Oomnitza provides what you need and more.

**What problems is Oomnitza solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Oomnitza is helping us to maintain better asset management compliance and visibility across both hardware and software.  With the integrations, we can tie into our MDM tools and our Okta Identity management to ensure consistent asset data.

Everything feels visual and easy to understand in the product's interface, which is nice.

**What do you dislike about Oomnitza?**

I dislike some of the not-so-intuitive frontend GUI, like the icons you have to click through to assign an accessory to a stockroom. And I wish things were a bit less wordy. Maybe drop down menus instead of a long list of categories when looking at search filter results for example.

We're definitely solving the most important issue of "who has this asset" - with benefits being the ability for us to provide so many details via integration or manual entry

**What do you like best about Oomnitza?**

Oomnitza has helped streamline/integrate asset data from CDW and SHI in a way that allows my department to have more control over our assets and how the assets are handled when logged

**What do you dislike about Oomnitza?**

Its difficult to say as I am still improving my own knowledge and skills in the use of oomnitza and  so I am yet to find a dislike worth mentioning at this time

**What problems is Oomnitza solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Thanks to the use of workflows we have implemented alerts to notify us of deviced that have not checked-in for a period of time whihc allows us to verify issues as soon as they are noticed.

We hope to implenet a workflow to notify us when an asset passes a certain age theshold so we can organise users to transition from an old device to a new device with havinbg to manually review our assets our selves

Oomnitza is a very powerful asset management that can be customized in many different ways.  Having used other asset programs, I found Oomnitza to be very flexible and customizable.

**What do you dislike about Oomnitza?**

I believe that currently Oomnitzas least helpful feature is that the fields in one module aren't linked to another module.  This means that to create a workflow that spans assets and people, you need to create a workflow in one module to collect data and the create another workflow in a different module to expand on, or manipulate the data from the previous modules workflow.

**Recommendations to others considering Oomnitza:**

I would recommend that you come up with a list of everything that you want to use a program like Oomnitza for and then book time with Oomnitza and go through all of your use cases.  Ask questions from different angles such as a user perspective, an admin perspective, and scaling.

We are solving asset management and tracking of inventory.  We are also tracking end of life status for equipment.  We have benefited by being able to keep firm control over the assets even while everyone is working remotely and being able to discovered assets that users may have which aren't being used and could potentially be consuming valuable licenses.

**What do you like best about Oomnitza?**

It's easy to import new devices in bulk, securely connect to our AD and import our users and make further connections. Creation of workflows is easy and sturdy. Managing Assets is easy.
I'm very fond of the support we receive when needed. Luckily we don't need it very often but when we had problems with our ADFS and the SSO didn't work correctly, Oomnitza support has helped us correct.
Also the webinars provided by Oomnitza and informational mailings show me that this company know how to keep their customers satisfied.

**What do you dislike about Oomnitza?**

There's not much to disklike about Oomnitza, there is an intuitive dashboard with a lot of information, assiging hardware triggers a mail to the assigned users which they must accept. Problems we had with double users due to an UPN change have been solved.

**What problems is Oomnitza solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With Oomnitza we are keeping our assets in view, the lifecycle of our hardware, its history, assignment status. Even depreciated hardware is in view and gives valuable information for the future.

Oomnitza has a great integration with CDW and our JAMF to make managing our assets and reporting so seamless. Dashboards give great insight into content that matters most to us. We had a great onboarding and training session when we first started - which gave us the confidence to use Oomnitza. After this training, we presented to our Customer Success Manager, who is excellent and provides us with the support we need to use the product. The workflows that give us the ability to automate further are impressive.

**What do you dislike about Oomnitza?**

There currently are limited features to track accessories without having a complex setup. The good news is that updates to tracking accessories appear to be on their way. The interface could also be a little more intuitive. The format does feel a little older styling.

Oomnitza's support is top-notch; they are fully vested in our success by addressing opportunities inside our organization by leveraging their product. The team at Oomnitza has proven to be one of our most invaluable partners. They truly listen to what we have to say about the product by adding capabilities to help this be a fully connected system in our environment.  It continues to feel like they are constantly reading our minds when they deploy enhancements to the product.

I have mainly worked with CSM Natalie Miller & Sam Pierce, and they have been instrumental to our success by ALWAYS going above and beyond to make sure we have what we need and are very knowledgeable. Since I wasn't involved in the initial rollout of Oomnitza at our company, CSM Natalie Miller jumped in and helped right away, getting me up to speed as I took over a project at the last minute.  She is ALWAYS there for us and is willing to help in any way to ensure our success with their product as our needs change.

There will always be defects with any software; however, they listened and patched the issues or created the functionality to mitigate the headaches in the processes. 

The only suggestion would be additional documentation and/or best practices on the product to allow self-service.

Oomnitza has provided us a centralized data repository and simplified our asset management practices. Now we have the ability to provide data sourced from multiple systems and focus on what is most relevant to them due to the custom integrations. Additionally, they have given our company the ability to monitor financial losses and gains, hardware refreshes; important value changes for devices; align relative stakeholders for on/offboarding, and much more. We are excited to see what else Oomnitza has to offer since we are just starting to scratch the surface.

The fact that it can connect to a lot of platforms (SCCM, JamF, ServiceNow, Okta etc.) and consolidate all the information in one place with a simplified view and ease of use, is just amazing. It works far more than just a plain ITAM solution, and can give insightful data to make informed decisions. Some of our major policy related decisions have been made basis the quick, accurate and insightful data provided by Oomnitza.

**What do you dislike about Oomnitza?**

Nothing to dislike, but a few improvement opportunities. Because Oomnitza is dependent on SCCM for providing machine related data, at times, because of DNS issues, SCCM sends incorrect details to Oomnitza. This can be alleviated by an agent directly connecting it to the machines.

We moved away from an excel-based asset management system to Oomnitza, and that was a big relief. Oomnitza has served as a one-stop shop solution for all our IT Asset Management needs, helping us streamline our processes around it, managing our IT hardware spends. It has helped the IT team focus on their primary job of providing support to end users instead of investing hours managing the inventory in an excel file. Moreover, it has helped the IT leaders take informed strategic decisions to make our processes better suited to the organizational goals.

The product moves quickly in regards to feature releases. Each release adds quite a punch to the product and has helped us automate several procurement/onboarding/offboarding and loaner processes.

The workflow automation engine really makes Oomnitza stand apart from from other ITAM solutions I've worked with in the past.

Oomnitza Support is absolutely phenomenal and the team really cares about YOUR success with their product. They also have great resources to assist with visioning/building out your ITAM roadmap when it comes to device and software lifecycles.

**What do you dislike about Oomnitza?**

Not a dislike, but something to keep in mind: Oomnitza is an agentless ITAM solution that relies on your other device management systems to feed it that "online" data to keep it accurate - data tidiness is something to keep an eye on with information coming in via the connectors and how your device management systems handle stale/aging data. This has taken a fair bit of time to achieve for our org.

**What problems is Oomnitza solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Since there's such a wide variety of connectors and integrations to/from various other systems (including your VARs), we've been able to build Oomnitza up as that "source of truth" for our asset data and have a high confidence in it as our ITAM solution. Easy to access. no install or updating needed from our side (Cloud based). Easy to customize. Easy to create workflows for diverse business processes. Quick responding. There is freedom to furnish and has a clean basic look which makes it easy to work with. I also make exports (.csv) of users and their assets to make analyses. Registering new hardware is also very easy and quick which can be done in bulk.

Since we have integrated Oomnitza, it has proven to be a necessity for our environment.  We currently have it tracking most devices, online and offline, as well as integrations to pull info from all the machines from Jamf, SCCM and InTune.  

Whenever he have had an issue, Oomnitza has always been there to walk us through any necessary steps that were needed.  They have set us up with weekly calls to go over our environment and provide steps to make it better.

Two things - First, the integration options and continuing improvements to existing integrations (Such as OKTA, JAMF & SCCM)  that have made using our existing tools, and the data from them, so much more valuable. Second - the engagement from the team at Oomnitza who were genuine and professional, Jon and Sam were a pleasure to work with and really helped us get the most from Oomnitza to improve our Asset Management.

Ha. It's minor, but the UI/UX could use a bit of love in some areas.

**What problems is Oomnitza solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed a source of truth, we had multiple management systems and finding answers about the state of our hardware was often challenging. Oomnitza helped us collect (accurately) from our data sources into Oomnitza, giving us the source-of-truth. Having this data really helped us make great progress with our hardware asset management processes. We've seen so much value already, and have a number of further improvements we are excited about (such as software asset management!).

This is the first ITAM I've used and it's been very easy for me to pick up, admin, and customize. The support I receive is also excellent. This includes during the initial setup and now that we've been active for a while they touch base with additional support to help us improve our uses of it.
I also like the Roles and how you can customize access to not only the platform but also how the mobile app appears to them to improve their ease of use.

The mobile app is very customizable but some of the functions are a little misleading at first (with "search" you can search for an asset, but if you want to edit it, you have to back out and search for it under the "edit" tool)

Before Oomnitza, we had to manually inventory every laptop we provisioned using JIRA. JIRA has its uses, but the interface is not very conducive to large-scale inventory tracking. This made the inventory tedious and time-consuming. With Oomnitza, inventory is a breeze!

Oomnitza is easily the best asset management tool I have used. The level of customization and large list of integrations that Oomnitza offer is alone enough to set it apart. What really makes Oomnitza special is the team behind it. The Ooomnitza team has easily handled any task or question I have sent their way with expertise and urgency, all while being some of the friendliest folks I've had the opportunity to work with. On top of being a top notch product, Oomnitza are constantly adding features and improving the system to make it even better. As an IT asset manager, Oomnitza is a tool I don't think I'd be able to live without.

**What do you dislike about Oomnitza?**

There's not a lot I can think of that I dislike honestly. The UI can be a little tricky to navigate at first, but once you wrap your head around it, it becomes second nature.

Oomnitza has helped us streamline our entire IT asset management process. We have gone from having what equated to just a list of equipment, to having a database of our equipment that is easy to manage with many manual processes automated. **What do you like best about Oomnitza?**

Support team is key. I think the overall management is great. You are able to create workflows for automating some of the processes of changing certain fields or triggering actions when specified actions happen. This is extremely helpful with working smarter not harder. Our account manager Natalie is stellar. She reached out to us to show us how we can accomplish some of the things we were wanting to do, but not only show us, she helped us create it right there. This flow was enabling us to send out an automated email for users to self-audit their devices to helps us get a pulse on how accurate our inventory was after moving to a new HQ. Not only was Natalie on a couple calls with us setting it up and making it is going to work as designed, the director of customer success was on too double checking it. It was nice to get the extra eyes and make sure everything looked great and would accomplish what we wanted since it would be sent out to every employee. 

I love Oomnitza and they keep making things better by adding my functionality to the product, listening to what we have to say about the product and adding more robust integrations to help this be a fully connected system in your IT stack.  No more spreadsheets.

With any software company there software has bugs or small nuances. To be honest they listen to the problems we have had and patched the issues or created the functionality to alleviate the headaches in the processes.

**What problems is Oomnitza solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I mean the problem everyone has of tracking assets. We were able to institute a barcode system and track the status' of the devices. It has helped us track down devices that may have been lost or forgotten about if it was done manually. With the integrations that it has it is able to pull the employee status from our HR system and so when an employee is no longer with the company we get alerted of what assets they have assigned to them so we can make sure we get everything back. We use it for auditing and compliance reporting as well as helping finance have visibility into our assets without them controlling them or the software.

Incredibly easy to use with a rich amount of fields and data which gives our company a large amount of control over our assets. The consistent development of the platform with new and improved integrations was a must for us and Oomntiza achieves this. Additionally, the friendliness, support, and guidance the whole team at Oomitiza has given us are truly world-class. We have given them some tough scenarios and they always come back with a solution that helps us in our organization.

There isn't much to dislike, the only downside is that the software licensing can be hard to use with some confusing UI which could be easily rectified.

**What problems is Oomnitza solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Oomnitza helps us change manual processes to automation. This decreases errors within the system and free's up time within our service desk to focus on our customers. Oomitiza has deep reporting and this is helping us to pinpoint assets at end of life and replacing them well in advance which eliminates any possible downtime for our customers. Working with Oomitiza has also helped us look at other scenarios we can use the platform to help us in achieving our goals.
