It integrates well with our MDM solutions and our SaaS ecosystem in general. Security wise it is very easy to sculpt access for it so it doesn't become too invasive, reducing potential for security or data breaches. The ability to use dashboards and have a lot of important compliance information available at a glance is also tremendous value. I've worked with some competitors and even with some bespoke asset management platforms before, and can easily say Oomnitza is the best one. **What do you dislike about Oomnitza?** UI could use a revamp to make it a bit faster but not a deal breaker. I'd like more powerful alarms/alerts to be built from it, right now alerting options are limited and searches aren't powerful enough to capture some edge cases **Recommendations to others considering Oomnitza:** It's always worth shopping around, but this is a very complete and stable solution. Ommnitza is easy to navigate and is a good tool to keep track of assets. **What do you dislike about Oomnitza?** One of my biggest issues would be the speed of the website. I would like to see the website load faster and move from different screens efficiently. Another item I feel can be improved is the ability to search for multiple serials at once. Currently, I can search for about 100 serial numbers to perform a bulk edit for items however, anything greater than 100 items an error message appears. **Recommendations to others considering Oomnitza:** N/A **What problems is Oomnitza solving and how is that benefiting you?** We use Oomnitza for asset tracking and asset inventory count. It truly stands out in the asset-management space for its simplicity and robust feature set. The "integrations" that feed Oomnitza data cover a large number of popular appliances and are all fairly configurable. Being able to host the connectors on-prem is also a huge bonus, but not a requirement. In my experience, Oomnitza Support has been very knowledgeable and timely in their responses. **What do you dislike about Oomnitza?** It would be nice to be able to use "OR" operators when searching within the UI. Currently, a filtered search is basically a combination of criteria using an "AND" operator, and anything more complex must be left to the API. Thankfully, Oomnitza has good documentation on how to get started with this. **Recommendations to others considering Oomnitza:** In our research, the only other competitor we found to Oomnitza was SnipeIT. SnipeIT may be beneficial for lower costs but is a much more hands-on approach. **What problems is Oomnitza solving and how is that benefiting you?** As an IT Systems Administrator, I have confidently managed asset collections of around 15,000 with minimal appliance upkeep and only one or two coworkers who functioned as admin backups for this system. Naturally, this does not cover for the every-day operations of checking assets in or out or updating any asset records you may need to update manually, but it was a huge improvement over other appliances. Utilizing Oomnitza gave me back time to tackle other pressing issues in my line of work. ### 14. We are now trying to stand up the SAM capabilities. Luckily we stood Oomnitza up right before the Covid epidemic and having a SaaS based ITAM system is paying dividends in our decentralized environment right now **What do you dislike about Oomnitza?** The logic in the work-flows takes some trial and error to get right. They have been amazing at listening to my feedback and incorporating our needs into their product. They also have integrations with many of our other tools, which opens the door to exciting automation possibilities. **What do you dislike about Oomnitza?** Since I wasn't involved in the initial rollout of Oomnitza at my company, it has taken a fair bit of time and effort to learn how to utilize everything that Oomnitza can do for us. We are just starting to scratch the surface. **What problems is Oomnitza solving and how is that benefiting you?** Oomnitza has given us a true "source of truth" for my company's IT assets. Before really utilizing Oomnitza, asset records were a jumbled mess of invoices, spreadsheets, and archived emails. Now, we can easily find assets, generate reports, and manage everything as the company continues to grow. ### 30. I love the integration with one of our most used vendors. **What do you dislike about Oomnitza?** I haven't been working with it longer to notice any dislikes just yet. **What problems is Oomnitza solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are getting our Asset counts trued up, getting our descriptions accurate. We will be able to send notifications for offboarding legal holds and loaner machines. ### 31. The workflows are extremely helpful in automating tasks. We are able to add the fields we need to customize our asset management. We pull info from Jamf to populate last user, applications, and other data. Oomnitza has put a ton of time and effort into helping us optimize our instance. They have really gone above and beyond to make sure we have what we need. **What do you dislike about Oomnitza?** UI design could be a bit more efficient. **What problems is Oomnitza solving and how is that benefiting you?** We manage a fleet of about 1000 computers. We are able to track machines from when we purchase them to end-of-life. We know who has it, when they received it, and how much life it has left. With workflows, we are able to automate notifications when inventory count is low and loaners are overdue. It's an invaluable tool. We use it every day. ### 32. They are not only interested in my success with the tool but helping me find uses within the tool to address opportunities inside my organization. The team at Oomnitza have proven to be one my valuable partners over and over again. **What do you dislike about Oomnitza?** The software component is new and I really have not had a chance to learn it and integrate it into our system. it is hard to say it is a dislike, but I have yet to be able to realize a value it it yet **Recommendations to others considering Oomnitza:** If you are looking for a customizable product that is power yet still easy to use, Oomnitza is a great option. **What problems is Oomnitza solving and how is that benefiting you?** In the past, tracking our hardware and software have been all on spreadsheet. The spreadsheet could not come close to handling the various situations tracking hw and sw create. Due to the customization available with Oomnitza, we are able to organize and address these unique situations and help us easily report, send us alerts , understand what we have, when maintenance expires, when equipment is out of date and many more insights into our environment that was just too buried. With Oomnitza workflows, many tasks, alerts and reports are generated automatically. ### 33. They hop on quick calls to help understand any issues that arise. **What do you dislike about Oomnitza?** It should be more GUI centric in terms of the backend setup for the customers like there shouldn't be any need for connectors. When integrating with MDMs or IDPs it should be seamless from Ommnitza's end right from the GUI. **What problems is Oomnitza solving and how is that benefiting you?** Maintaining and keeping track of our devices. It seems to never work on our systems. This is annoying as the services always seem to be failed. **Recommendations to others considering Oomnitza:** Understand your use case and ensure it aligns with your needs. This is honestly more about a process than a tool.
