What do you like best about Oomnitza?

What I like most is the flexibility and integration depth. From an engineering standpoint, Oomnitza isn’t just an asset database — it’s a true aggregation and automation layer. I can normalize data across Jamf, Intune, Tanium, SentinelOne, Okta, etc., and actually act on that data through workflows and APIs. It’s highly customizable, which makes it powerful for building real operational processes instead of just reporting. What do you dislike about Oomnitza?

Because it’s so flexible, there’s definitely a learning curve. Initial setup, schema design, and workflow logic can feel complex without strong planning or technical ownership. Some UI areas and documentation could be more intuitive, especially for new admins. It’s powerful, but not always plug-and-play - you need someone technical to really unlock its value. Oomnitza solves our visibility and orchestration gaps across multiple management systems. Instead of jumping between Jamf, Intune, Tanium, and security tools, we get a single source of truth for assets and lifecycle state. It helps us automate tasks like device lock/wipe actions, lifecycle changes, ownership tracking, and compliance workflows.

For me as an engineer, this reduces manual work, improves data accuracy, and enables automation-first processes. What do you like best about Oomnitza?

Lots of great UI and workflow improvements make it even easier to build and maintain automation at scale. We now have more integrations, and make use of read/write functionality to Jamf and Intune, automating common device management tasks and removing a lot of the manual steps our IT Support team used to handle by hand. What do you dislike about Oomnitza?

Oomnitza is evolving all the time, and we feel like they listen to their customers when considering changes. There are a few small things that we would like to see, but nothing major at this point. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Oomnitza solving and how is that benefiting you?

We needed a way to manage our user assigned laptops, and wanted to do this as efficiently as possible. We can now see which device is assigned to each user, when it was assigned, whether it's ever been out for repair, and when it's due for replacement. We can also see how much stock we have in each office, and check on things like the last online date of each asset. The integration with Zendesk allows us to access this information directly from a Zendesk ticket. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
