# Which ChatGPT usage caps do free-plan users run into for everyday business work?

<p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true">Free <a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/products/chatgpt/reviews">ChatGPT</a> covers a lot of everyday business work, from image generation off a short prompt to turning rough notes into a slide deck, so I've been exploring which usage caps free-plan users actually run into. In recent G2 reviews two come up: a cap on image uploads during image-heavy tasks, and usage caps on reasoning-heavy analysis, which show up most at busy times. The routes people describe are upgrading to a paid plan or spreading the work across the day.</p><p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true">In <a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/categories/large-language-models-llms">large language models</a>, the free tier suits two kinds of user quite differently. Someone using it a few times a day for drafting rarely meets either cap.
