"An indispensable solution for central monitoring"
What do you like best about Netdata?

I appreciate the centralized monitoring capability of Netdata, which allows me to effectively monitor my homelab nodes without relying on my own infrastructure. This means that even if a server goes offline, monitoring remains in place and I am informed. I particularly like the vast range of monitoring options that Netdata offers, combined with good clarity despite the many possibilities and the complexity of the platform. Additionally, I find the design appealing, although this is a personal preference. I have previously worked with other tools like Prometheus and Grafana, but Netdata offers clear advantages for me in terms of simplified centralization and fewer technical dependencies on my own infrastructures. What do you dislike about Netdata?

It can be a bit overwhelming at first, but not least due to the good documentation, you can quickly get up to speed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Turnkey Solution with No-Configure Simplicity"
What do you like best about Netdata?

No-configure is a no-brainer. Out of the box turnkey is amazing and I was grabbing logs before my old favorite NMS was installing dependencies. All these integrations got me thinking about other projects. And the fact that support extended my trial by chat is some of the best customer support ever. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Netdata?

Windows not supported in the free plan. No biggie. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless VM Monitoring with Netdata"
What do you like best about Netdata?

I love how easy and quick the onboarding process is with Netdata. The setup is incredibly straightforward; you simply install the necessary packages on the virtual machines and connect them to the cloud, and everything functions perfectly right out of the box. This seamless integration is unmatched compared to other services available. This feature alone sets Netdata apart and makes my experience with it remarkably smooth and efficient. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Netdata?

The only small thing I can think of is that the documentation on good practice regarding which monitors to enable and which to disable is not really clear. However, it's really a tiny issue compared to what the service provides. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Monitoring with Robust Anomaly Detection"
What do you like best about Netdata?

I find Netdata's dashboard incredibly useful for server monitoring. Its design allows me to quickly identify any issues without hassle, making the task of performance monitoring and utilization smooth and effective. The anomaly detection feature is another standout, as it provides me with the ability to rapidly pinpoint irregularities and address them promptly, which is invaluable in maintaining server health. I also appreciate how easy the initial setup of Netdata was, which meant I could get started without any difficulties or extensive time investment. When using Netdata alongside Nginx, it enhances my overall workflow efficiency. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Netdata?

I find the lack of integration with SNMP devices and pfSense firewalls problematic. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

There's nothing to dislike about it, the software just works as it is intended to. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A detailed and reliable product for managing bare metal and virtual machines"
What do you like best about Netdata?

The platform offers impressive levels of detail along with a wide selection of service-related plugins. Setting it up is straightforward, and the documentation is current and easy to follow. Integration options are huge, with many different types of operating system supported. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Netdata?

There isn't much to mention, except that you'll need a fairly powerful computer to manage the large volume of data that gets sent to your browser. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy to deploy. Easy to get onboard. Responsive Support. Amazing customer experience!"
What do you like best about Netdata?

Netdata allows us to easily deploy a complete monitoring solution to our infrastructure. With just a copy and paste of a command, each of our servers gets automagically onboarded to our Netdata Cloud dashboards, instantly generating meaningful alerts and insights which enables us to take immediate action. Their support team is attentive and responsive. Kudos to the Customer Success team for the pleasant onboarding experience! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Netdata?

First and foremost: loss of control. As an infrastructure engineer, I like to have control over all of the infrastructure. I'm skeptical of SaaS, which often disappoint. A more accessibly priced on-premises solution would be preferred, even if the cloud product is excellent. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Netdata provides an amazing experience at a reasonable cost"
What do you like best about Netdata?

Netdata makes monitoring very very easy. Setting it up on my infrastructure (what they call nodes) was very simple, and their dashboard/software provides everything I need quite easily. They also make it very easy to integrate with various other software, like OS and databases. Their people are also amazingly responsive and helpful - it's like you're not supported by customer support agents, but by people who know the software really well. Finally, the cost is truly reasonable for what they're offering. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Netdata?

Netdata is still lacking a few specific integrations and features that can be found in some of the bigger players in the market. Nevertheless, it has everything I need for monitoring, which is the primary reason I use them. In addition to that, they've been very fast lately with adding missing functionalities, like windows monitoring and their ai insights/alerts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Netdata is a low-effort and relatively inexpensive way to monitor server infrastructure"
What do you like best about Netdata?

Netdata is a low maintenance, low effort way to start monitoring some deep system metrics and it "just works". Netdata's free tier gives you the chance to see all the product features.

Digging into different metrics and grouping by different dimensions is extremely useful. Correlating metrics is fairly easy and is done better than most other tools I've used. If you know the metrics that matter on a system, it seems relatively easy to look at those metrics across systems.

Documentation is reasonably good. Most of the metrics and alerts have useful help pages describing what a metric is and why it matters. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Netdata?

The UI can be overwhelming the first time you're in it.

Tuning notifications and thresholds in the free version was awkward. When we switched to the cloud-centric threshold adjustments and notifications, was a little awkward and we haven't fully switched. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Real time monitoring that actually works - and it really is "real time""
What do you like best about Netdata?

The real-time visualizations are incredible - no more waiting around for dashboards to load or refresh. Everything updates instantly, and the interface is so intuitive that I don't need to dig through documentation just to find basic metrics. The zero-configuration setup was a pleasant surprise too. Just install it and boom, you're monitoring everything. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Netdata?

The alert configuration could be more straightforward and I wish it had tracing support. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
