The system is user-friendly and helps make the payroll process faster and more efficient, as long as the timekeeping data is accurate and complete. I also appreciate the loan adjustment feature because it lets us track, verify, and reconcile employee loan deductions and settlements more easily.

Another feature I value is being able to access and use the system while working from home. Employees can file their own leave and overtime requests directly through the system, which makes the process more convenient and reduces paperwork and the administrative workload for HR and Payroll staff. One concern is that some system adjustments and enhancements require additional payment, while certain issues take time to resolve and require repeated follow-ups. There is also limited backup support when the primary point of contact (POC) is on leave, which can further delay issue resolution. In some cases, we have to resolve issues ourselves or revert to manual payroll processing to ensure that payroll can still be completed on time.

Another concern is the quality and accuracy of system testing and implementation. Sometimes, resolving one issue introduces another, resulting in a repetitive cycle of fixes and new problems. It would be beneficial to strengthen quality assurance and impact assessment before deploying changes. Ideally, modifications should first be tested in a separate testing environment or sample database to verify that they work as intended and do not negatively affect other system functions before being applied to the live system.

Additionally, the leave management feature needs improvement. When an employee files leave that includes a scheduled rest day, the system automatically deducts that day from the employee's leave balance. This can result in inaccurate leave balances and requires me to maintain a separate manual leave monitoring file to verify that each employee's remaining leave credits are correct. Improving the system's handling of rest days during leave applications would help ensure accurate leave balances and eliminate unnecessary manual monitoring. What I like the best about the NBS' HRIS & Payroll system is how it makes HR and payroll processes more organized, efficient, and convenient. Instead of handling employee information, attendanace, leave, and payroll computation separately, the system helps bring these processes together in one platform. I also appreciate its automation features, especially for payroll. Automating calculations can reduce manual work and minimize errors, which is particularly helpful when dealing with salaries, deductions, benefits, and other payroll requirements. This allows the HR team to spend less time on repetitive tasks and more time focusing on employees and other important responsibilities. Another thing I like is the system's ability to keep employee information centralized and accesible. Having employee records in one system makes it easier to updated information, monitor attendance and other filings (overtime, leave, and etc.), generate reports, and retrieve data when needed.
