"Streamlined Automation, Powerful Microsoft Integration"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Microsoft Power Automate?

I like using Microsoft Power Automate to automate workflows between applications. It helps reduce manual tasks and improves efficiency, especially when working with Microsoft tools. I find that it integrates well with Microsoft applications like Outlook and Teams, allowing me to automate workflows without complex coding. The connectors are particularly useful as they make it easy to connect different applications and trigger automated tasks, like sending notifications or updating data when an email arrives. Overall, the ease of starting with the templates and connectors is great, and it was very easy to set up. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft Power Automate?

Sometimes the platform can be a little difficult for beginners. Some workflows and configurations take time to learn. More tutorials and documentation would help new users understand the tool faster. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Automates Workflows, But Needs UI Improvements"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Microsoft Power Automate?

I use Microsoft Power Automate mostly to keep boring, repetitive work around emails and other Microsoft ecosystem apps like Outlook and Excel streamlined. It helps to route emails and attachments like PDFs, renaming them and dropping them into OneDrive. I really appreciate how the excellent dashboard and Excel report automation allow me to pull data from portals, build or refresh pivot tables, and produce nicely formatted reports. It reduces the manual course and potential mistakes, reducing my brain load for reporting. Additionally, it's helpful in setting up rules for automatically transferring data to places like Google Drive, which organizes everything neatly and reduces human error and delay. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft Power Automate?

Debugging issues and vague error messages in Microsoft Power Automate make it confusing, especially for nontechnical users. The UI seems sluggish and glitchy compared to other automation tools like Zapier, which has a better interface. When a flow fails, the error messages are not clear, and it's hard to navigate through more than 10 actions, making it all a bit overwhelming. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Automation with Vast Connector Library"
5/5
What do you like best about Microsoft Power Automate?

I use Microsoft Power Automate to bridge the gap between my communication development tools. I have a flow that monitors my Gmail for specific project alerts and automatically posts a summary to Slack. I also like that it tracks build status notifications from Android Studio via custom HTTP requests to keep my team updated. What I like most is the vast library of prebuilt connectors; being able to link Gmail to Slack without writing a single line of backend code is a huge time saver. These connectors are valuable because they abstract away complex API authentication that I'd otherwise have to handle manually. The most seamless aspect is the dynamic content picker. When setting up a flow between Gmail and Slack, I don't have to parse the JSON or write regex to find the sender email or message body. The initial setup of Microsoft Power Automate was much easier than I expected. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft Power Automate?

While the connectors are great, the error handling and debugging process can be frustratingly opaque. When a flow fails between Gmail and Slack, the error codes provided are often vague, making it hard to tell if the issue is a connection timeout or a permission error. As a Flutter developer, I would love to see the expression editor upgraded to a full-screen mode with proper syntax highlighting and more robust features, as writing complex nested logic in the small sidebar is prone to errors. "Great tool for automation and easy to learn for beginners"
5/5
What do you like best about Microsoft Power Automate?

As someone who is PL-900 certified, I really like how user-friendly the interface is. You don't need to be a coding expert to build useful flows. The pre-built templates are very helpful for getting started quickly.

I also appreciate the Microsoft Developer Program. It gave me access to the Admin Portal so I could learn how to manage environments and data policies without needing a paid business license right away. It is great for learning. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft Power Automate?

The licensing structure can be very confusing to understand, especially when moving from a developer account to a real business environment.

Also, sometimes when a flow fails, the error messages are a bit vague. It can be hard to figure out exactly what went wrong without searching online for answers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Streamlines Automation but Needs AI Enhancements"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Microsoft Power Automate?

I like Microsoft Power Automate mainly for the 'out of sight out of mind' concept, as it eliminates the need for me to manually query my own data extraction since it's automatically displayed in the apps directly. I definitely enjoy everything related to integrating with other apps within Microsoft 365, especially when combining it with Power Apps. The initial setup was pretty straightforward, and with AI on the side, I really can't even complain. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft Power Automate?

Microsoft Power Automate is definitely falling behind AI agents. Microsoft needs to do a refactoring to make Automate even easier to use, which is already a hard task on its own. The flows themselves could be directly wired or shown diagrammatically just by a prompt so you can actually see the automated process rather than just blindly trusting an Agent. "Seamless Integration with Limits"
4/5
What do you like best about Microsoft Power Automate?

I use Microsoft Power Automate for automating Microsoft tools like Teams and Outlook, and I like that it provides seamless integration with other Microsoft tools. It's easy to use with built-in AI that helps you all the time, making it easier to play around with the features. I specifically find value in using Teams messaging and Outlook email sending, and I have also integrated it with other tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft Power Automate?

The expression section is incredibly hard to write an expression for. It would be much better if I could easily see the output and use them. For instance, when a message comes from Teams, I want to see what message is being sent, but the output section has tons of data to analyze by looking at raw data. Then I have to write a specific expression that captures the data from that message. It could be more user-friendly if it were in a format like n8n. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Reliable Automation with Needed UI Improvements"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Microsoft Power Automate?

I like how Microsoft Power Automate helps in automating workflows and moving data around easily within our Microsoft environment. It's great how it can take actions on emails or attachments. I find it works well, and I appreciate its great security which is trusted as part of our Microsoft environment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft Power Automate?

The interface could be better; it is not easy to use. The AI assistance needs upgrading to help with technical issues. The initial setup was not very easy, requiring AI tools to help with setup and understanding of flows. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Scalable Low-Code Automation for Enterprise Office Management"
4/5
What do you like best about Microsoft Power Automate?

I like that Power Automate allows for rapid prototyping and deployment of automated workflows without a heavy DevOps overhead. The native integration with the Microsoft 365 stack is its biggest strength—being able to trigger a flow from a Power App or a SharePoint list modification allows us to achieve 'quick wins' that look very professional to stakeholders. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft Power Automate?

It struggles with complex logic. Once you need to do advanced data manipulation or heavy-duty loops, the visual interface becomes cluttered and difficult to document. The debugging tools are also somewhat opaque. Finding exactly why a specific action failed in a nested condition can be a headache. Lastly, the dependency on the Microsoft ecosystem makes it a tough sell for cross-platform environments. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Seamless Microsoft Integration for Rapid Workflow Automation"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Microsoft Power Automate?

Its seamless integration with the Microsoft ecosystem, especially Azure services and Outlook/Teams workflows. It allows rapid automation of operational processes without building custom backend services from scratch. For API-driven systems, it's useful for orchestrating event-based triggers and approvals while reducing development overhead. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft Power Automate?

As workflows become more complex, maintainability and debugging can become challenging. The visual flow builder can feel less transparent compared to traditional code-based backend systems. Performance and API limits may also become constraints in high-throughput or enterprise-scale automation scenarios. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Solid automation tool, but debugging could use some real work"
4/5
What do you like best about Microsoft Power Automate?

The connector library is honestly what keeps me coming back. We've got a pretty mixed stack — some legacy SharePoint stuff, a few Azure services, Teams, and some third-party APIs — and Power Automate handles the glue between all of them without too much headache. The low-code designer is decent for the simpler flows, and for anything more complex I can drop into expressions or call custom connectors. Scheduling and triggering options are solid too. It's also nice that it's baked into the Microsoft 365 ecosystem, so licensing isn't a separate conversation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft Power Automate?

Debugging is genuinely painful. When a flow fails mid-run, the error messages are often vague enough that you end up spending more time digging through run history than actually fixing things. The expression language is also a bit awkward once you go beyond the basics — it's a mix of JSON path, OData, and some custom syntax that never feels fully consistent. Pricing can get weird too, especially with premium connectors. And for more developer-oriented use cases, I sometimes wish there was a cleaner way to write flows as code rather than purely through the visual designer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
