## Microsoft OneNote Reviews
  ### 1. Easy, Organized Note-Taking with Seamless Sync and Search in Microsoft OneNote

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Balram T. | Associate Consultant (AI/ML), Computer Software, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Microsoft OneNote?**

What I like best about Microsoft OneNote is how easy it is to keep all my notes in one place. I use it for meeting notes, project information, quick reminders, and day-to-day work, so I don’t have to search through multiple documents.

I also like that notes sync across devices and are easy to find later using search. It helps me stay organized and keeps important information readily available when I need it.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft OneNote?**

One thing I don’t like about Microsoft OneNote is that large notebooks can sometimes become a little difficult to organize, especially when there are many sections and pages. I have also noticed that formatting does not always look exactly the same across different devices.

Other than that, it has been a useful tool for keeping notes organized and I use it regularly without any major problems.

**What problems is Microsoft OneNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Microsoft OneNote helps me keep notes, meeting discussions, and project information organized in one place. Before using it, important information was often spread across different documents, emails, and notebooks, which made it harder to find later.

It helps me stay organized, quickly find past notes, and keep track of tasks and ideas. Having everything in one place saves time and makes it easier to manage day-to-day work.

  ### 2. Simple, Secure Note-Taking with OneDrive Backup, but is stayong behind

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Leonidas R. | Network Analyst, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 03, 2026

**What do you like best about Microsoft OneNote?**

The simpler, the better. It’s just what you need—nothing fancy. It’s a notepad to get your notes done, and it integrates with OneDrive, so your info is backed up and secure.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft OneNote?**

Microsoft should honestly just forget about OneNote. The integrations with the Outlook app and other software don’t work that well, and it feels like it’s falling behind over time. At this point, there’s only basic support, and I wouldn’t be surprised if they shut down support soon.

**What problems is Microsoft OneNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This is the one place where I can gather my thoughts and get my brainstorming sessions ready. I also use it to keep my email templates organized. I really can’t ask for anything else.

  ### 3. Endless, Easy-to-Organize Notes in Microsoft OneNote

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sneha S. | Freelancer, Education Management, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 12, 2026

**What do you like best about Microsoft OneNote?**

In Microsoft OneNote, it never feels like you run out of paper—we can keep writing endlessly. Notes are easy to organise, print, and share, and it’s simple to find information later even if we’ve forgotten which tab or page it’s stored on. We can create any number of tabs, which helps keep everything neatly organised and easy to manage.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft OneNote?**

I don’t really see any major downsides. The only thing is that the interface can feel a bit cluttered at times, and syncing can occasionally lag when I switch between devices.

**What problems is Microsoft OneNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Microsoft OneNote helps businesses by centralizing notes, documents, and web captures, serving as an organized digital workspace. Remote teams can access, create, and share information on the go, which makes collaboration easier. Copilot can also help by summarizing notes and creating to-do lists.

  ### 4. Microsoft OneNote: Flexible Digital Notebook with Seamless Microsoft Integration

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Accounting | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 06, 2026

**What do you like best about Microsoft OneNote?**

What stands out most about Microsoft OneNote is how flexible it is compared to typical note-taking apps.

Instead of pushing you into rigid pages or fixed formats, OneNote feels like a true digital notebook: you can click anywhere and start typing, drawing, or pasting content. That freeform canvas is especially helpful for brainstorming and planning, or for mixing text with visuals without having to decide on a structure upfront.

Another major strength is how smoothly it integrates with the Microsoft ecosystem. It works naturally with tools like Word, Outlook, and Teams, so your notes can connect easily to meetings, tasks, and documents. If you already use Microsoft products, it fits right in.

I also appreciate its organization system. The notebooks → sections → pages layout is straightforward but powerful, and it’s easy to create separate notebooks for different areas of your life (work, study, personal). On top of that, search is excellent—even recognizing text inside images or handwritten notes—which saves a lot of time.

Finally, cross-device syncing has been reliable for me. Whether I’m on a laptop, phone, or tablet, my notes stay up to date, which makes it easy to capture ideas anytime.

Overall, the best thing about OneNote is how it balances freedom, structure, and integration in a way that adapts to how you think, rather than forcing you to adapt to the app.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft OneNote?**

Even though Microsoft OneNote is a powerful tool, a few aspects can become frustrating over time.

One problem is that the same flexibility that makes it appealing can also make it feel messy. Without a strict structure, notes can get disorganized quickly—especially in larger notebooks. It’s easy to lose track of where things are unless you’re very disciplined about how you set up sections and pages.

Another drawback is the inconsistent experience across platforms. The desktop app, web version, and mobile apps don’t always behave the same way, and certain features are missing or work differently depending on the device. If you switch devices often, that lack of uniformity can be especially annoying.

Performance can also be an issue, particularly with big notebooks or lots of embedded files like PDFs or images. Syncing is usually reliable, but when it fails or conflicts happen, fixing those problems isn’t always straightforward or intuitive.

Formatting is another weak spot. Compared to tools like Microsoft Word, you don’t get much fine control over layout, spacing, or styling. Because of the freeform canvas, content can shift around unexpectedly, which isn’t ideal when you’re trying to create something more polished.

Lastly, collaboration isn’t as smooth as you might expect from a Microsoft product. While you *can* share notebooks, real-time collaboration doesn’t feel as seamless or as intuitive as it is in tools like Google Docs.

Overall, OneNote excels at flexible note capture, but it can fall short when you need consistency across devices, stronger performance with heavy notebooks, or more structured work.

**What problems is Microsoft OneNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Microsoft OneNote helps solve a very common problem: scattered information—something most people deal with every day.

Before tools like OneNote, notes ended up everywhere: paper notebooks, sticky notes, random files, emails, and screenshots. Keeping track of ideas was difficult, and finding them later was even harder. OneNote pulls all of that into one searchable place. The benefit is straightforward but meaningful: you spend less time hunting for information and more time actually using it.

It also addresses the limitations of rigid note-taking. Traditional tools often push you into linear documents, which don’t always match how people think or work. With OneNote’s freeform canvas, you can write anywhere, sketch diagrams, paste images, and mix formats in the same space. That flexibility makes it easier to capture thoughts naturally, especially during brainstorming sessions or meetings.

Another issue it helps with is information overload. Features like notebooks, tagging, and strong search (including recognizing text in images) make it easier to organize content and retrieve it quickly. That reduces mental clutter because you don’t have to rely on memory—you can trust the system to hold onto what matters.

It also solves the cross-device access problem. Ideas don’t only show up when you’re sitting at one computer. OneNote syncs across your phone, laptop, and tablet, so you can capture or review notes whenever you need to. The benefit is continuity: you’re not disconnected from your information.

Finally, through integration with Microsoft tools like Outlook and Teams, it helps reduce disconnected workflows. Meeting notes, tasks, and related documents can link together, which makes work feel more cohesive and cuts down on duplication.

Overall, the practical benefit is better organization, faster recall, and a smoother workflow—less friction between having an idea and actually acting on it.

  ### 5. OneNote Feels Like a True Digital Workspace SaaS Application

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rohit W. | Threat Hunter 2, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Microsoft OneNote?**

I am using microsoft onenote for last 4 years and it is one of the best note taking and documentation software so far. In it you can click anywhere and start typing. we can include drawings, images and files. It feels more like a digital workspace

**What do you dislike about Microsoft OneNote?**

Sometimes the app loads with time and mobile application is not that richwith features. So it takes time to sync across devices. it is very heavy version of notepad

**What problems is Microsoft OneNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

we needed a all in one note taking and documentation tool which is integrated in microsoft ecosystem. Onenote is in built with Microsoft 365 E3 and E5 license it is very good to have as use daily.

  ### 6. Versatile Note Taking and Seamless Collaboration for Teams

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nijat I. | Full-stack Developer, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 13, 2026

**What do you like best about Microsoft OneNote?**

Microsoft OneNote is an effective tool to use in a professional setting due to being flexible in knowledge and note management. This application enables management of information through notebooks, sections, and pages, which is quite useful in managing meeting information, project and document ideas, and managing research documentation. The strength of using Microsoft OneNote lies in being able to integrate different elements, such as text, to-do lists, images, links, and code snippets, in one page that can be effectively used in a working environment.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft OneNote?**

The only downside here is that OneNote does not have a strict organizational system, like a documentation tool with a wiki. This means that, without a certain amount of organizational discipline, the notebooks can get messy. The search function is good, but it can still be difficult, even in a large amount of notes distributed among a variety of notebooks. There is very limited functionality for getting the information out into other forms, and the options for formatting are very basic.

**What problems is Microsoft OneNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

OneNote addresses the problem of having scattered information found through emails, text files, and personal devices. The program offers a central and facilitated space to record and arrange information through meetings, planning, and projects. This increases individual efficiency and prevents the loss of information.

  ### 7. Flexible Notes with Easy-to-Organize Pages and Subpages

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ben Y. | Product Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Microsoft OneNote?**

OneNote has a lot of flexibility and allows you to create pages within pages. This is helpful because I can start to create notes on a specific subject but easily break it up into sub-pages within a topic

**What do you dislike about Microsoft OneNote?**

The flexibility to create new pages and subpages can also cause issues and make finding something hard than it should be. If you are consistent with your page creations this can be avoided.

**What problems is Microsoft OneNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

OneNote allows me to easily create and manage notes from different meetings, allows me to tag people, and create lists of things that need to be completed all within a single page.

  ### 8. Helpful Autosave and Easy Picture Pasting in Notes

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Telecommunications | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 24, 2026

**What do you like best about Microsoft OneNote?**

The autosave option is helpful, and I like that we can paste pictures into any notes in between.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft OneNote?**

I don’t think it has any drawbacks, and I’m looking forward to new options or updates in the future.

**What problems is Microsoft OneNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We can pull up the important items easily and save them so we can access them anytime, instead of scrolling through large amounts of data to find a particular resource. This saves time and helps us stay productive at the same time.

  ### 9. OneNote Makes Cloud Note-Taking Easy from Anywhere

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** B S. | Salesforce Developer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 03, 2026

**What do you like best about Microsoft OneNote?**

The first thing about OneNote is that it’s very useful for preparing notes on any topic, and it’s easily accessible in the cloud. From anywhere, as long as I have internet access, I can log in to OneNote and take notes since it’s hosted in the cloud.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft OneNote?**

So far, everything looks perfect. However, it could be even better if there were notes available, especially for programming languages.

**What problems is Microsoft OneNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps me take notes while preparing for a particular topic, and later I can refer back to them from any device since it’s hosted in the cloud.

  ### 10. Organization, Dictation, and Brainstorming Win

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Primary/Secondary Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 18, 2026

**What do you like best about Microsoft OneNote?**

The dictate feature is my favorite part. It's so helpful when I really need to record exactly what was said in a meeting, I can turn it on and off discreetly and keep the transcription right there in my other notes.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft OneNote?**

Some of the features feel like they were made more for tablet users than computer users. The drawing features would be great if you primarily use a tablet. But I'm typically on a laptop so it feels like a significant portion of the features aren't really made for me.

**What problems is Microsoft OneNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

OneNote is perfect for organizing my thoughts during meetings. I use pages to prep agendas and then take notes. I can organize everything so that I'm always able to reference back to a meeting. I find I use OneNote more and more often to brainstorm as well.

  ### 11. Outdated OneNote Pushed Us to Microsoft 365’s Better Team Sharing

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Medical Devices | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 13, 2026

**What do you like best about Microsoft OneNote?**

It used to serve as my task manager. It can create multiple pages allowing you to create an ongoing, prioritized list and, as things are completed or postponed (due to higher priorities), you can place/prioritize as needed.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft OneNote?**

It's outdated and presumably on purpose, by Microsoft themselves. Microsoft 365 has a myriad of features that replace OneNote and allow sharing across teams which is much better and why myself and my team have started relying on this.

**What problems is Microsoft OneNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solves tasks list creation and maintenance but has since been replaced.

  ### 12. Organized, Color-Coded Notes—But Document Syncing Needs Improvement

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Chemicals | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Microsoft OneNote?**

I like how it organizes my thoughts, ideas, and documents all in one place. I also like that it’s color-coded, and that I can store a large amount of information in a clean, easy-to-manage way.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft OneNote?**

I dislike that OneNote doesn’t sync documents when you add them to a OneNote page. If I save the document in OneNote, it doesn’t save back to the original file.

**What problems is Microsoft OneNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps me keep my ideas and thoughts stored in one place, but it doesn’t really work like a project management tool. It doesn’t keep me on track with my projects; instead, it makes it easy to see what I’m working on and manage everything in one spot.

  ### 13. Everything in One Place with Easy File Attachments

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Billy D. | Customer Resolution Agent, Consumer Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 08, 2026

**What do you like best about Microsoft OneNote?**

I like that I can keep everything in one place. I also like being able to attach files to pages, so I can access what I need right away whenever I’m looking for it.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft OneNote?**

Sometimes, if files are moved to a different location, it can corrupt the page and the file won’t open.

**What problems is Microsoft OneNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use it to plan my day and quickly see which tasks need to be done. I can also keep files for people all in one place and view everything related to a single person. With just File Explorer, I have to dig through multiple files and folders to find the right one.

  ### 14. Intuitive visual organization and ultra-convenient OCR for your notes

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Microsoft OneNote?**

The structure with sections and colored pages allows you to organize your projects in a very visual and intuitive way, somewhat like a physical binder. What I like the most is the optical character recognition (OCR) feature that allows you to copy text from an image and paste it directly into my notes.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft OneNote?**

Synchronization conflicts sometimes occur on Microsoft OneNote when using the software on multiple devices simultaneously. I also find that the table management is quite rudimentary and lacks flexibility compared to what can be found in other tools of the Microsoft OneNote suite.

**What problems is Microsoft OneNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This solution greatly facilitates team collaboration, as we can all annotate the same shared notebook during our weekly meetings in real time.

  ### 15. Simple to Use and Integrates Seamlessly with Microsoft Copilot and Office

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Robert Z. | General Manager, Automotive, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 17, 2026

**What do you like best about Microsoft OneNote?**

Integrates with Microsoft copilot more and more every day! Works with the office suite of programs! Is very simple to use!

**What do you dislike about Microsoft OneNote?**

Its webclipper feature in the browser is very buggy and error prone. The sync abilities is confusing and hard to understand.

**What problems is Microsoft OneNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Gathering information from documents, websites, notes, and gathering into into a digital notebook. Copilot also has access to my notes and I can make AI notebooks as well where an ai agent just advises based only on the information in my notes.

  ### 16. Excellent for Handwritten Notes and PDFs

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Akshit K. | Consultant, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 02, 2025

**What do you like best about Microsoft OneNote?**

I love using Microsoft OneNote for taking handwritten notes, which helps me remember better and organize my notes by linking them to others seamlessly. The ability to add equations and mathematical notations easily is another aspect I find incredibly valuable, enhancing my note-taking capabilities, especially during study sessions. I also enjoy the feature that allows me to import PDF documents and add them as printouts on the page for annotation. This feature significantly reduces the hassle of carrying physical copies and stationery items, making my study experience more efficient and organized. Additionally, the initial setup process for Microsoft OneNote was very easy, which I found to be a great relief and added to the overall positive experience. I am highly likely to recommend it to friends and colleagues due to these impressive features and ease of use.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft OneNote?**

I find exporting notes tough, and setting page sizes can be tricky. The printout settings don't estimate margins well, which can be frustrating. Margins should be clearly shown when setting printouts and while taking notes.

**What problems is Microsoft OneNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Microsoft OneNote for note-taking, task planning, and study notes. It lets me add equations and annotate PDFs, reducing the hassle of carrying physical materials.

  ### 17. A Trustworthy Digital Journal for Organized Thought and Everyday Tasks

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sabri S. | trainer, Consulting, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 27, 2026

**What do you like best about Microsoft OneNote?**

For both personal and professional use, Microsoft OneNote is incredibly adaptable. It's great for meeting notes, project tracking, training materials, and general knowledge management because of how easily information can be organized using notebooks, sections, and pages.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft OneNote?**

Despite OneNote's strength, it can become disorganized if proper naming and structure guidelines are not followed. Large notebooks can easily become disorganized because there is no established hierarchy.

**What problems is Microsoft OneNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

By offering a single, centralized workspace, OneNote addresses the issue of dispersed notes across emails, documents, and paper notebooks.

  ### 18. Once Great for Note-Taking, Now Clunky with No Tagging and Sync Issues

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Writing and Editing | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 24, 2026

**What do you like best about Microsoft OneNote?**

I’ve used OneNote since 2012, and it has been the most useful program for note-taking. It makes it easy to create notebooks and add subdivisions, which helps me keep everything organized.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft OneNote?**

Lately, it’s become clunkier to use, and there’s still no tagging. I’ve also been running into syncing issues between the mobile and desktop versions.

**What problems is Microsoft OneNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It’s a good tool for editing draft pieces, and I also use it to keep an archive of my writing.

  ### 19. Great for Storyboarding, Needs Faster Typing

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Subhajit P. | Writer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 19, 2025

**What do you like best about Microsoft OneNote?**

I love using Microsoft OneNote because it allows me to paint and storyboard, which are crucial features for my content creation and scripting tasks. I appreciate being able to organize my notes with chapters, making it easier to reference and manage different sections of my work. One of the best aspects is that I can access and make changes to my notes from my phone anywhere, which provides great flexibility and convenience, especially when I am on the go. Additionally, the integration with Excel enhances my workflow, making data management seamless. Switching from physical copies to Microsoft OneNote was a great decision, simplifying my setup process while offering digital versatility.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft OneNote?**

I dislike the typing speed in Microsoft OneNote as it lags when I type, which disrupts my workflow. I wish it could be as instant as other note-taking apps.

**What problems is Microsoft OneNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Microsoft OneNote for content creation, as it allows me to store scripts, storyboard on pages, and organize notes with chapters. I can access it anywhere from my phone and make changes, enhancing flexibility.

  ### 20. Not Intuitive, but Integrates Well with Office Suite

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marinos M. | Communications, Marketing and Advertising Consultant, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 10, 2025

**What do you like best about Microsoft OneNote?**

I appreciate how Microsoft OneNote integrates with other Microsoft Office products, which helps in keeping my notes and documents connected. I also find the ability to create multilevel/page notes very useful.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft OneNote?**

I find using Microsoft OneNote a bit difficult and confusing. Although setting it up was easy, the program itself is not very intuitive, which contributes to a steep learning curve. Despite being an advanced computer user, I struggle with its interface and features, making it less appealing. I primarily use it because it is part of my company's procedures and standards rather than by choice. If I had the choice, I probably would not buy it again in the future.

**What problems is Microsoft OneNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I find OneNote's integration with Office beneficial for keeping my notes and documents connected.

  ### 21. Keep notes organized easily

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Laura H. | n/a, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 20, 2025

**What do you like best about Microsoft OneNote?**

I like to keep organized notebooks depending on meeting / project and can effectively find when using the search tool. Easily copy and paste screen shots while taking notes to integrate.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft OneNote?**

Need a better way to have a shared notebook or sharing options - connect with teams a bit easier / not log users out

**What problems is Microsoft OneNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

it solves the organization issues of a traditional hand written note book that I can categorize easily or move pages where needed - search up names and specific dates and keep all my projects organized with clear history. taking group notes works great in real-time and used while working with user research feedback capture of interviews with the team consolidating notes with KTAs.

  ### 22. OneNote: A Handy Tool for Work and Study

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Telecommunications | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 23, 2025

**What do you like best about Microsoft OneNote?**

OneNote is great for organising notes in a clear, flexible structure. I like how it mimics a physical notebook with tabs and sections, making it easy to manage different topics or projects. It’s also really handy that it syncs across devices, so I can access my notes on my phone, tablet, or computer anytime. The ability to draw, highlight, and insert images or files is a big plus too.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft OneNote?**

It can feel a bit clunky at times, especially with syncing issues between devices or when working offline. The search function doesn’t always return accurate results, and formatting can be inconsistent if you copy and paste from other sources. Also, if you’re not already familiar with the layout, the interface can be a little overwhelming at first.

**What problems is Microsoft OneNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

OneNote helps me stay organised and keeps all my work and personal notes in one place. It solves the problem of managing multiple types of information—meeting notes, to-do lists, research, screenshots—by letting me store and access everything from any device. It’s improved my productivity and reduced the time I spend searching for information.

  ### 23. Effortless to Use with Impressive Features

**What do you like best about Microsoft OneNote?**

The software stands out for its user-friendly interface, making it easy to use. Implementing it was straightforward as well. Additionally, it offers a wide range of features.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft OneNote?**

**What do you like best about Microsoft OneNote?**

I have been using OneNote for almost 3 years. Basically it is good for tracking our day to day tasks, for managing our TODO list. We can create multiple sections and under each section we can create multiple pages. There are other features like highlighting the text with different colour, inersing the images and so many. Overall it is good. Very frequently I use this tool I mean almost everyday as I manage my TODO list here.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft OneNote?**

I really want to mention negative side of this product as I have een using it for almost 3 years. When you want to scroll up or scroll down on the page it is very slow. I have observed it many times.
Also, sometimes when you open a particual page the cursor/control goes directly to the top of the page and it doesn't stay at a place where I left when I close the laptop or even after restart.

**What problems is Microsoft OneNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

OneNote is helping me to manage my daily tasks in the project. It is helping me to manage my TODO list. Using OneNote I can easily track how much work is completed and how much is left. So that I can easily manage the estimations.

  ### 30. OneNote: The Last Digital Notebook for Smooth Organization and Productivity

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** sidrah K. | Seller support, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 02, 2024

**What do you like best about Microsoft OneNote?**

I think the best feature of Microsoft OneNote is the flexibility and ease of use in organizing notes across different platforms. The flexibility to create many notebooks, sections, and pages creates a highly structured but highly adaptable means of structuring information. In addition, notes can be accessed on any device with the help of integration with other Microsoft tools and the cloud-based syncing feature-just making everything so much easier. I also really appreciate the rich media support, which allows me to attach images, audio files, and even files directly into my notes.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft OneNote?**

One thing I don't like about Microsoft OneNote is that, honestly, it's not quite that reliable at syncing, especially if you're one of those folks switching between a number of devices or working offline-those changes take slightly longer to sync across platforms. This can disrupt workflow at times. That being said, the interface, although certainly flexible enough, also feels slightly cluttered, especially for new users. What's more, I think, is how this app, compared to its peers, has limited options for something more advanced than basic formatting in creating polished documents directly within the app. Lastly, the arranging and reordering of pages within sections would make more sense.

**What problems is Microsoft OneNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Microsoft OneNote solves several key issues surrounding the organization of information and collaboration. By providing you with a central digital notebook wherein you can place, categorize, and locate your notes easily, it eliminates scattered and disorganized sheets of paper, which not only tends to be far less clean but also more difficult to keep track of.

With the ability to sync the notes from one device to another, I can access my information anytime or place, be it a phone, tablet, or computer, which really shoots up the level of productivity. The multimedia integration feature in OneNote allows me to upload more than just text types, like images, links, and even audio recordings. This is very good because it makes the variety in the kind of projects one would work on pretty versatile. The collaboration features allow me to share notebooks and work in real time with other people on the platform thus making teamwork much more seamless.

Overall, OneNote helps me to be better organized, improves my productivity, and enables info to be quickly disseminated.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mark L. | C.E.O., Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 25, 2023

**What do you like best about Microsoft OneNote?**

OneNote for me, has become the most valuable app in the entire Microsoft 365 Suite offering. I use this amazingly powerful app all day every day. It is well worth viewing a few YouTube videos on the incredible array of built-in features. You will find fantastic organizing and time-saving uses that will truly surprise you. First this is a one-stop for all notes, thoughts and planning organization. I create a "Notebook" for each organization or major project. Then "Folders" for each ongoing topic, and within the folders "Pages" for notes. The pages can be organized in an outline style with indented subpages to better organize conversations, plans, ideas, activity. This can be stored in the cloud and accessed on any Apple or Android device as well as PC, and all synchronize for simultaneous use! OneNote is on my iPhone, Galaxy S23 Ultra, Samsung Tablet, Dell laptop, MacBook & Desktop PC and all share the same information and notebooks.
You can hand write text and convert to fonts, make drawings, record both audio and video and embed in any page. For example, you can place a mic and or cameera in a conference room and record the entire meeting.
OneNote links with all other Microsoft Office apps and you can embed Word, Excel, Publisher files and more into OneNote. You can email pages or clips or provide access to the entire notebook to others for collaboration. You can insert virtually any file including PDFs, images, video, audio and even program files into any page. There is a Translation tool that can translate text or a full page. You can perform both screen clipping and screen recording. There is a Transcribe tool that not only converts speech to text, but can also take a search term and point to the appropriate place in the recording. You can have multiple authors and quickly locate items by author. Each page can be custom formated with templates for a variety of different uses. The layout is customizable for location of page & folder tabs as well as toolbar selections.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft OneNote?**

OneNote automatically saves each notebook by default in OneDrive locations that over time can vary. I have multiple OneDrive accounts due to business and personal Office and email accounts and knowing which one to look for when opening notebooks can require a bit of research. However, you can move the files to a preferred location. Over time as the product expands and grows I've found little to complain about!

**What problems is Microsoft OneNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My Go-To for EVERYTHING. I keep notes & recordings of meetings, segregate projects and activities by separate notebooks, each of which are instantly accessible, organize plans, to-do lists, screenshots, videos, web pages and links and so much more. Outlook Meetings automatically integrate with OneNote allowing me to easily manage notes and projects by meeting. With the collaborative tools I can share with others and access on virtually any desktop or mobile device. Adhoc notetaking is a breeze no matter what device I have handy. I can grab any portion of a webpage or screen to save. I can take notes or spreadsheets from here and instantly move to Word and Excel, and viceversa. Graphs, hand drawn notes can be saved and shared.

Forms administration.

We need forms to collect the API information of all the integrations that we are building and OneNote is the best place for that.

**What do you like best about Microsoft OneNote?**

This can be touted as the-best notes app especially if you're into Microsoft Surface devices ecosystem. Like in my case scenario I use the Surface Pro 8 along with my Surface Duo and a common slim-pen between both the devices. If you love wrting with a pen you won't find anything better.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft OneNote?**

Every software has some or other drawbacks or flaws, but one of which I really like improvement on is on the part of writing with pen. The strokes arent that smooth I mean there's still room for improvement. One of the best smooth strokes I found was with the notes app on Samsung with s-pen.
