## Microsoft OneNote Reviews
  ### 1. Best note-taking app

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hash M. | CEO/Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 17, 2023

**What do you like best about Microsoft OneNote?**

This can be touted as the-best notes app especially if you're into Microsoft Surface devices ecosystem. Like in my case scenario I use the Surface Pro 8 along with my Surface Duo and a common slim-pen between both the devices. If you love wrting with a pen you won't find anything better.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft OneNote?**

Every software has some or other drawbacks or flaws, but one of which I really like improvement on is on the part of writing with pen. The strokes arent that smooth I mean there's still room for improvement. One of the best smooth strokes I found was with the notes app on Samsung with s-pen.

**What problems is Microsoft OneNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Microsoft OneNote is a digital notepad that allows me to keep track of all of my notes, tasks, and projects in one location. It enables me to take notes, interact with others, and access them from any device. OneNote has eliminated the issues of misplacing paper notes, missing crucial deadlines, and wasting time searching for information. It has helped me increase my productivity, creativity, and efficiency.

  ### 2. Professional Note making tool

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 31, 2019

**What do you like best about Microsoft OneNote?**

One note is available across all the professional tools in Office 365 like microsoft Outlook and team used across in all meetings. One note is very useful with its ability to sync online at greater speed. It also has cool and detailed user interface and offers more options like adding sections and pages.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft OneNote?**

It does not have few options from Microsoft excel which can be added so that the numbers and data pasted or wrote in Onenote files can be counted easy. It does not allows screenshots to be pasted in some occasion.

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft OneNote:**

Too Good for meetings

**What problems is Microsoft OneNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This eliminates paper and note book to be carried for all meetings. Also avoids redundant work like writing Minutes of meeting after the meeting.

  ### 3. Best Notetaking App

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Uriah H. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 26, 2023

**What do you like best about Microsoft OneNote?**

OneNote is a quick and easy way to stay organized across different projects and work flows.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft OneNote?**

To be honest there is nothing about the software that I do not like right now.

**What problems is Microsoft OneNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

OneNote allows me to take notes about all different things while staying organized. Instead of having to have multiple notepads or windows open, I can use one application and just switch to different tabs when I want. That makes me more productive and saves me time.

  ### 4. What I like best about Microsoft OneNote

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Internet | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 26, 2019

**What do you like best about Microsoft OneNote?**

Microsoft OneNote is a remarkable organizational tool that truly stands out. Its ability to create notebooks, sections, and pages makes it incredibly easy to store and organize my notes. Whether I'm jotting down quick ideas or working on complex projects, the flexibility and hierarchical structure of OneNote keep everything well-ordered and accessible. Another highlight is its cross-platform compatibility, enabling me to access my notes seamlessly from various devices like my Windows PC, Mac, iOS, or Android phone. This has been a game-changer for my productivity, allowing me to work on my notes wherever I am, ensuring I never miss out on any important ideas. Furthermore, the integration with other Microsoft Office applications is seamless, saving me time by effortlessly importing and exporting data between them. Lastly, the collaborative feature has been invaluable for group projects and team collaboration, as multiple users can work on the same notebook simultaneously in real-time. OneNote's versatility, customization options, and collaborative capabilities make it an indispensable tool for me.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft OneNote?**

While Microsoft OneNote has many strengths, there are some areas that could be improved. The mobile app version of OneNote, while useful, lacks some of the advanced features found in the desktop version. This limitation can be frustrating when I'm on the go and need access to all the tools available on my computer. Additionally, OneNote has a steep learning curve, especially for new users. With so many features and customization options, it can be overwhelming to get started. Some users might find it challenging to make the most out of the software without investing significant time in learning its intricacies. Another drawback is the limited export options. OneNote doesn't offer many choices for exporting notes to other applications or platforms, making it difficult to seamlessly transition my work into other tools. Furthermore, maintaining formatting consistency across different platforms or devices can be problematic, as sometimes the formatting may change when notes are viewed elsewhere. Lastly, storing data on Microsoft servers might raise data security and privacy concerns for some users. While Microsoft has taken steps to ensure security, some individuals may prefer a more localized and private storage option for sensitive information.

**What problems is Microsoft OneNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Microsoft OneNote is a powerful solution that brings immense benefits to my life and work by effectively solving various organizational challenges. With its intuitive interface, I can create notebooks, sections, and pages to store and structure my notes, ensuring easy access to critical information whenever I need it. The cross-platform compatibility allows me to seamlessly switch between devices, keeping my notes synchronized and accessible from anywhere. Integration with Microsoft Office applications streamlines my workflow, enabling smooth data exchange between different tools. The real-time collaboration feature fosters efficient teamwork and group projects. While there are some challenges, like limited mobile functionality and a learning curve for new users, the overall advantages of OneNote, such as improved productivity, seamless organization, and enhanced collaboration, make it an invaluable tool that greatly benefits my personal and professional endeavors.

**Reviewed Date:** June 07, 2019

**What do you like best about Microsoft OneNote?**

Being able to upload documents and files for my students to access at home or during class so they can save paper.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft OneNote?**

Sometimes it can be difficult to navigate, especially when trying to help 30 students find the right folder and document to access. The tabs can be tricky to navigate for some.

**What problems is Microsoft OneNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Using less paper and being able to send students assignments when they miss school so catching up is easier. its also nice to linking with Teams.

  ### 6. Microsoft OneNote is one of best note in the market

**Reviewed Date:** December 15, 2023

**What do you like best about Microsoft OneNote?**

Easy to integrate and use between multiple devices

**What do you dislike about Microsoft OneNote?**

some formatting a bit advance and not simple as the other similar app

**What problems is Microsoft OneNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Since I am using multiple device on daily work, it help me alot to sync my notes between devices

  ### 7. An incredible note-taking programme

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrew C. | Application Engineer - Trainee, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 17, 2023

**What do you like best about Microsoft OneNote?**

Microsoft OneNote is an incredibly useful note-taking and data organisation application. Its intuitive interface makes it easy to use, while its various features, such as creating categories to better organise your possessions, linking web pages between documents for seamless navigation, or combining multiple search results into a single document, provide immense utility. What's more, you can create notes within the same note page - although only one at a time - but when you edit such a previously saved note, both names (yours and the original author's) will be included in recognition of this update.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft OneNote?**

I find that Microsoft OneNote has only one problem - the difficulty of exporting documents. If I need to send a note for account migration, for example, I must create and send a huge PDF instead of sharing the entire document. Since I had to do this, I'm not particularly upset.

**What problems is Microsoft OneNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

By keeping all my notes in one place, Microsoft OneNote saves me time and effort. I can easily add, access, and edit them on any device at any time without ever having to worry about forgetting or misplacing anything important.

**What do you like best about Microsoft OneNote?**

I like the continuity that I can have across devices and ease of access of information about the projects I work on a daily basis. The ability to embed speadsheets and diagrams is also great.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft OneNote?**

The text input with Apple pencil, specially the handwritten to type recognition could be improved for a better experience.

**What problems is Microsoft OneNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Transitioning from paper based notes and having all the information I need in a single software has enabled me to be more efficient

  ### 10. Microsoft OneNote is a digital note-taking app.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Md. Abdur R. | Data analyst, Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 13, 2023

**What do you like best about Microsoft OneNote?**

The best note-taking tool is OneNote, which is also the easiest to access from your laptop screen and has a fantastic user interface. It has a lot of room and is spacious. One can efficiently utilize headings and headers, write whatever they want, highlight the text, and, most importantly, look wonderful to look at it.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft OneNote?**

Nothing about the product bothers me; I merely adore it. It is included in the product line. The most excellent part is that your various notes can be found in one location. It is necessary for your everyday work, and you may quickly return to it when you need to look something up for the future.

**What problems is Microsoft OneNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Microsoft OneNote can assist businesses in resolving several issues, such as:

1. OneNote makes collaboration simpler for teams by allowing several users to work on a single note or notebook at once.

2. Organization and categorization of notes are simple with OneNote, which can increase productivity and efficiency.

3. It enables organizations to record and keep meeting notes, to-do lists, and project-related data in a single, centralized spot.

4. OneNote gives organizations access to their notes from any internet-connected device, enhancing flexibility and enabling employees to work from anywhere.

  ### 11. My experience with Microsoft OneNote has been normal as a note app can be.

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jasmine R. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 20, 2023

**What do you like best about Microsoft OneNote?**

What I like most about Microsoft OneNote is how I can share notes with family and friends. I also love Microsoft one note because it allows me to keep track of my notes, and I can check them anywhere using Microsoft Office.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft OneNote?**

What I dislike about Microsoft Onenote is the lack of advanced formatting options. While does offers basic formatting, it doesnt have as many features as some other note-taking/ word proccesing application

**What problems is Microsoft OneNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before using Microsoft Onenote, I used notes on a Windows computer, but I couldn't save them to the current device I was using and then open it on another device. Now that I use Microsoft OneNote, I can keep my notes and open it on any device anywhere.

  ### 12. Using as a textbook for Engineering Product data

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Caleb T. | Design Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 31, 2023

**What do you like best about Microsoft OneNote?**

The ability to collaborate on multiple pages. It is simple to link information to local drives, attach pdfs and organize information however we would like as a team.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft OneNote?**

I dislike the format of information. Although you can customize the pages there are not many templates to help everyone design a page in the same way. Limited ways to structure content.

**What problems is Microsoft OneNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is helping my team organize product data and project history so we can reference it in the future. Allowing us to collaboratively document training data, projects and fabricated parts.

  ### 13. Lacking meaningful structure, but good for creative processes

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Entertainment | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 04, 2023

**What do you like best about Microsoft OneNote?**

I liked the blank canvas nature of the interface. You could create a workbook and drop anything in it, anywhere on the page - this lead to interesting mind-map type notebook pages. This was both helpful and a hinderance - I find systems with more structure to be easier to use.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft OneNote?**

The lack of structure made it hard to work coherently on projects. I generally find systems with more structure to be easier to use. Asana and Notion are superior in this area. As someone who is not a MSFT fan at this point, I was happy to move away from OneNote, which does not integrate well with some of my other applications.

**What problems is Microsoft OneNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is not solving any at this point - I have stopped using it. It was used primarily for creative problem-solving and brainstorming visualization but found the free-form format to be both helpful and a hindrance, especially where cross-platform collaboration was required.

  ### 14. Efficiently Organized

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Karen Marie G. | L2 Associate, Real Estate, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 09, 2023

**What do you like best about Microsoft OneNote?**

What I like best about Microsoft OneNote is that you can organize and categorize all your essential notes. Also, navigating and searching for the specific messages you've made is much easier.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft OneNote?**

The last thing that can be helpful for this tool is that you need to make sure that the account you're using is synced into OneDrive because you may be unable to find the notes you've created, or it may be deleted.

**What problems is Microsoft OneNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The problem that Microsoft OneNote is solving and benefits me is that I don't need to use or carry so many notebooks to jut down my notes for an important meeting. This tool is handy in every way because you can also use the device from your Smartphone.

  ### 15. Simple, Easy and Friendly

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** sai m. | Full-stack Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 21, 2023

**What do you like best about Microsoft OneNote?**

An easy intutive interface for note taking along with the ability to sync notes across devices with one drive makes the note-taking experience more seamless and spontaneous as I could start taking notes from anywhere on any of my devices

**What do you dislike about Microsoft OneNote?**

I dont particularly dislike anything, but I would like to see better export capabilities like the ability to export notes to markdown format and being able to edit with markdown, better spelling and grammar correction and better shortcuts, especially for search

**What problems is Microsoft OneNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's good at what it is supposed to do, Note-taking, and it does the job really well. for me, Onedrive integration makes a massive difference as I could have all my notes wherever I want whenever I need

  ### 16. My Daily Diary

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kanika M. | Account Manager, Industrial Automation, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 05, 2023

**What do you like best about Microsoft OneNote?**

OneNote, it's the best note-taking platform, so accessible, and easy to have just at your laptop screen and the interface is amazing. It's spacious with a lot of space and one can easily mention titles/headers you may write whatever and however you want, highlight the text and above all, it looks so cool to even use the look and feel is amazing.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft OneNote?**

I have nothing to dislike about the product, I just love it. It comes with the product suite. The best thing is you can have all your multiple notes in one place.
It's a must-have for your daily work and you can easily revisit the same when you want to refer to something for future use.

**What problems is Microsoft OneNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

1. My Daily Dairy
2. Bestest Note-Making Software
3. Storing Data and keeping it for future use
4. Beautiful Platform
5. Text Highlighting Features
6. This saves your real-time data
7. Data Storing even in a tabular form.

  ### 17. Tracking made easy

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consulting | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 22, 2023

**What do you like best about Microsoft OneNote?**

OneNote is one of the very popular tool for maintaining and organising notes in very effecient manner. It helps me to keep a track of all the important tasks at one place

**What do you dislike about Microsoft OneNote?**

Although OneNote has a lot of advantages, it still comes with it's own limitations. One of the key lacking areas for the software is the user interface for maintaining tablular data-set.

**What problems is Microsoft OneNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Is is benefiting me in keeping a track of all my daily task and also acts like a one stop solution for my key notes.

  ### 18. It's ok, but there's way better software

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jessica A. | Localization Specialist, Translation and Localization, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 25, 2023

**What do you like best about Microsoft OneNote?**

It's a useful tool for writing math (formulas and stuff are very much covered) and you can use different rule lines or grid lines for the same purpose. You can also use tags to tag different parts of the text and you have all the office fonts available of other writing software such as Word.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft OneNote?**

You can't create more than three categories and subcategories. You can create notebooks, pages, and sections, which sometimes might result insufficient for your notes. It would be useful if it had more subsections. Also, the input language can be changed only by changing the input keyboard, which results in having everything underlined if you, for instance, use the Spanish keyboard but write in other languages too.

**What problems is Microsoft OneNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I don't use it anymore because I've found some more efficient software (Notion) and because I don't have a license for it anymore, but when I used to use it, I would write my university notes on it, allowing me to organize all the subjects in one place.

  ### 19. OneNote- Smart and Simple note for complicated things

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nitinkumar P. | Deputy Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 12, 2022

**What do you like best about Microsoft OneNote?**

While working with the different people with different countries on the different projects ONENOTE provides me authority to keep notes of my basic data which helps me a lot to remind me the project initials. It is very simple to use and valuable part of my day to day life. you don't need to remember everything just ONENOTE it.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft OneNote?**

There is nothing to Dislike about ONENOTE , it's simplicity of use is its best part. Although if we can have possibly link data from Emails to ONENOTE in one click , it will be helpful.

**What problems is Microsoft OneNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

If I want to give brief about some project to my team members or my colleagues I just need to share onenote with them about that project and they will be known all the important facts of the project that makes onenote helpful for me very very much. We have many tools in onenote of excel and Microsoft word which makes it easy to make your data more attractive and simple.

  ### 20. Microsoft OneNote lets a student have all his class notes at the tip of his fingers.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 21, 2023

**What do you like best about Microsoft OneNote?**

Microsoft OneNote is a student's one-stop solution for all their academic needs to jot down notes or create a virtual book with many pages online. It also has a feature to create shared notebooks in case of group work.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft OneNote?**

Microsoft OneNote is not as popular as the other competitors in the market; it has not established itself to be the best in class in the market and, subsequently, not a user's first choice of an online notebook.

**What problems is Microsoft OneNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

After the pandemic subsided, it became mandatory in class to take notes on a device instead of a pen and paper. Taking notes in OneNote helps one share their whole notes to the course at the click of a button, generating a unique URL per note.

  ### 21. Good for Notes

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anjuman C. | IT Technician, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 09, 2023

**What do you like best about Microsoft OneNote?**

Microsoft one note is simplistic and easy to use.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft OneNote?**

Limited for it's uses other than that it is good for keeping general notes and notes you need to separate.

**What problems is Microsoft OneNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When needing to access some information that I may have forgotten, I can find it in one note.

  ### 22. OneNote is very useful for planners

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 18, 2023

**What do you like best about Microsoft OneNote?**

I love the ability to create a checklist while in a meeting and being able to add photos, arrange items as though on a dry erase board with different text boxes etc.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft OneNote?**

I wish that the checklist from OneNote coordinated with Miscrosoft ToDo - so that you could immediately have those items added to your ToDos or assign specific items to other people.

**What problems is Microsoft OneNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

OneNote allows us to take notes and make plans while including files, weblinks and images. We use it in various levels throughout the company.

  ### 23. Recently I found OneNote not so gud as it was before, in particular use it with a smartpen

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ricardo U. | Director de administración, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 10, 2023

**What do you like best about Microsoft OneNote?**

I can organize my not by topics, made rañitions between them but now, studying German, I preferred to use another software BC. Of my experience with my smartpen

**What do you dislike about Microsoft OneNote?**

Not so gud to be used with a smartpen. It don't respond fast and with precision to the hand traces. I used to made mind maps with OneNote and now I feel limited to use it with a mouse

**What problems is Microsoft OneNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Notes about complex topics and interrelated different issues and topics.
But when one use with a touchscreen device with a smartpen for Personal Mindmap disign , it is hard to use

  ### 24. A great idea with a poor excecution

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andres G. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 12, 2023

**What do you like best about Microsoft OneNote?**

The fact that you can sync notes in the cloud.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft OneNote?**

Everything else: it's not simple or easy to use. The integration with teams is poor as it's difficult to share notes. The notebook functionality is very unclear. Teams notes are not sync with the OneNote app.

**What problems is Microsoft OneNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sync notes in the cloud and with teams.

  ### 25. A ton a new features over the years but still missing badly needed features.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Transportation/Trucking/Railroad | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 08, 2022

**What do you like best about Microsoft OneNote?**

I like having documents/notes at my disposal at all times. I used it for every aspect of my life. Personal folders for home projects from research to inception all in one place. I completed licenses and certificates over the years. I have all my notes with me at all times. It is a great day to maintain documents, notes, and projects all in one place. Allows our business to track external and internal changes while keeping a history of the old and the new.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft OneNote?**

I still don't understand why there are two versions of the product. One Note and One Note for windows have different features and I don't like not being able to utilize a feature that is not on the version I use. I also would like to be able to organize folders and tabs differently and have no options.

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft OneNote:**

Microsoft has taken steps to be able to offer IOS and Android apps for most of its products. One Note on my desktop, tablet, and android phone allows me to have all my personal and business notes all in one place. It is a great app to save years' worth of data that is well organized and available expeditiously.

**What problems is Microsoft OneNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In commercial insurance. there are constant underwriting changes within our agency, carriers, etc. We like to be up to date and have a record of old policy and the changes to the new policy. We also use it to track vendor appetites and track any changes.

  ### 26. Useful note-making and note-sharing tool

**What do you like best about Microsoft OneNote?**

Microsoft OneNote allows creating, modifying and sharing notes with team members. Text as well as images along with various illustrations like charts and graphs can be added to the notes. The notes can be accessed across different platforms as it is compatible with mobile, browser as well as desktop devices having all major operating systems.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft OneNote?**

Microsoft OneNote does not allow offline editing of the notes. If the internet connectivity is lost then the notes have to be made again and all the progress is lost.

**What problems is Microsoft OneNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

All the team members are able to access the important documentation without much hassle. Since it is a cloud-based note-making application, there is no extra storage memory consumption.

  ### 27. Brilliant application for journaling and taking down instant notes

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anirban S. | ex Senior Manager - Marketing, Education Management, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 13, 2022

**What do you like best about Microsoft OneNote?**

The best part is the cross-device real-time usability of OneNote. It often happens that during casual conversations or breaks, some idea comes up in the mind or a team member shares some important business consideration. I immediately note it down on OneNote in my phone and later copy it to some other application on my laptop. Also, my subordinates have access to some of my notes and they can themselves add ideas or opinions where my involvement is required. I can accumulate these at some convenient time and either organise them in OneNote itself or use an application like Trello.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft OneNote?**

The only problem with OneNote is that the changes are not autosaved offline if the network connection is lost during editing. So the entire content has to be rewritten from scratch. I tried changing the settings to eliminate this problem but have failed to find a solution.

**What problems is Microsoft OneNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

OneNote serves as the perfect substitute for a notepad that is shareable across virtual teams and outside agencies. It acts a common medium for real-time journalling, especially for brainstorming about our new businesses.

**What do you like best about Microsoft OneNote?**

The best part of using OneNote is the ability to return to a portion of notes and insert a space for retroactive note taking, eliminating the need for preemptive planning and enabling creativity.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft OneNote?**

At times, OneNote seems to log itself out from the signed in account, forcing the user to undergo an aggravating re-sign in process. Although cumbersome, this is a small downside.

**What problems is Microsoft OneNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Note taking was always a challenge for me personally, and OneNote offers a simple and easy way to take notes. It is easy to include images and mark them up as needed.

**What do you like best about Microsoft OneNote?**

I like that you can share onenotes, make multiple tabs and subtabs, and you can really form it into whatever you want to use it for.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft OneNote?**

It is a little tricky to get formatting exactly how you want and I wish I could figure out how to alphabetize by columns in tables.

**What problems is Microsoft OneNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This is where I keep all my work notes and "how-to's" to reference my notes if I forget how to do a task. I can also share my instructions with a coworker so they can know how to complete a task and stay in tune with how things are done.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft OneNote?**

So far I must say there is nothing I dislike about it!

**What problems is Microsoft OneNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is not always easy keeping all one's notes in one place to refer back to. Rather than have scattered bits of paper, OneNote is efficient and user-friendly.

**What do you like best about Microsoft OneNote?**

It is an excellent application for Note taking during meetings. It can be utilized for taking notes without paper and environmental friendly as well. As it is digital thus it can be accessed from anywhere and from any device.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft OneNote?**

The application sometimes takes time to load; thus, sharing notes during calls with the client can be a tough job. If we have many tabs in the application it can be a problem sometimes.

**What problems is Microsoft OneNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helped people to take and make notes easily and quickly in meetings. There is no paper used which makes it environmentally friendly. Also, backups are there, thus data loss is prevented.

**What do you like best about Microsoft OneNote?**

One note is an advanved version of traditional notepad applications. With one note we can easily organize the notes into sepetate notebooks, seprate sections and can include seprate pages, hence it is acts as workbook for us. And the ui also looks so attractive.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft OneNote?**

The search functionality need to be optimized.

There is no find and replace feature available.

Apart from this no major problems are there. Its a good application to use.

**What problems is Microsoft OneNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With one note we can easily note down the important things as sperate note books, and we can organize them with different sections and pages. And we can add different colour layouts for the notes, hence it can be identified easily. Also we can add multimedias to the notes. Its a cool feature!

  ### 36. Easy to use notepad loaded with features

**What do you like best about Microsoft OneNote?**

OneNote allows me to import the meeting details if I am logged in with the same work ID which makes it so much easier to keep a track of my notes sorted by the meeting date, time, and participants.
I also like the fact that I can add audio to the notes/pages for when I am in a rush.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft OneNote?**

Not exactly a fan of the ever-expanding page width, particularly when using the mobile version. Would prefer if there was an option to set a default page width so that any new document would open to that defined width.

**What problems is Microsoft OneNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Notes during meetings
Notifications for to-dos
Ability to sort notes by projects, dates
Convenience in looking up/searching through past notes
Doubles up as a drawing pad if I need to scribble to explain something

Easy to access. Easy to catalogue files.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft OneNote?**

Some times there is a delay in uploading files/documents.

**What problems is Microsoft OneNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solves the problem of a team knowing exactly where all the files or documents are stored rather than using a share point site.

  ### 39. Used as digital board

**Reviewed by:** Janak S. | Data analyst, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What do you like best about Microsoft OneNote?**

The best part of the Microsoft office notebook is gathering information backup to one drive cloud. I like the option to make handwritten notes with available like a different background, different colours of pen, highlighter etc

**What do you dislike about Microsoft OneNote?**

The bad thing is it takes a higher time to open on a window as well as saving the file feature confusing
Opening and loading time is higher
AI-related features are not suitable for making corrections in real time

**What problems is Microsoft OneNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My organisation used one note for making notes which means sharing with a team is effortless, and it saves our organisation time as real-time updating and It's secure our organisation's sensitive information

  ### 41. OneNote: Essential Tool for Organizing of Thoughts into Notes

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aditya G. | Associate Software Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 25, 2022

**What do you like best about Microsoft OneNote?**

OneNote helps organizing your notes according to your needs in a seamless manner. You can Create Different Sections and Pages under those sections and Section Groups can also be made for grouping particular sections together. You can copy a Mail in outlook to a OneNote page directly, This feature saves a lot of time for saving important mail content as Notes.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft OneNote?**

OneNote could have better UI with more layout themes. The Organization options could be more, putting pages into folders instead of sections. The Search feature could be improved, seeing the matches in the pages in one go instead of going through all the pages to check the Match.

**What problems is Microsoft OneNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's integration with Onedrive and other apps is really helpful. I can Organize work notes and information into different sections and pages. Since the Notes are syncing with OneDrive, there is no fear of losing my information.

  ### 42. OneNote for EveryOne

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pranshu S. | Analyst, Security and Investigations, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 29, 2022

**What do you like best about Microsoft OneNote?**

The best part about one note is it acts as a workbook where you can add as many pages(tabs) without any limitation. It's really easy to use and dynamic in nature. Be it Text, snapshot, excel file or anything, it supports the majority of objects and hence helps me organize my stuff better which could not have been possible in sticky notes. I usually prepare different worksheets in this for ongoing, to be undertaken and completed tasks and more items among them to keep them organized. Really happy with the product and still in process of exploring new features every day. Since it is on the cloud, I can keep sharing my OneNote with others and hence can multiple users work on the OneNote sheet on real-time basis.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft OneNote?**

Nothing as such, Maybe sometimes it gets overloaded with a truckload of data, pages and hence I may loose sense of where the relevant item is placed. Some more layout options would be appreciable to give it a better look. Currently, it seems like csv version of the excel file which can only store data with limited or no reporting beautification options.

**What problems is Microsoft OneNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use it on daily basis to keep track of my daily work, progress and their status.

  ### 43. OneNote is the best; OneNote 2016 is the best of the best

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Neman S. | Sales Enablement Lead, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 01, 2022

**What do you like best about Microsoft OneNote?**

The amazing note-taking capabilities allow for all forms of multimedia content - web, typing, drawing, objects, "printouts" - you name it. There are many integrations and they're natively stored in your OneDrive (if personal) or SharePoint (if business) with the full backing of Microsoft 365. The search in OneNote 2016 is incredible.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft OneNote?**

Can't embed animated GIFs. Some basic capabilities (like table sorting, find and replace) require third-party tools, like Onetastic or OneNote Gem. Without a doubt, the OneNote 2016 desktop is SO much better than any desktop app release since then, and orders of magnitude better than the web app. The search in the web app is just garbage. Other big dislike is page hyperlinks are to the literal text of the hyperlink target. So if, for example, you link to a page, if you change the page title, the link breaks. That's basically unforgiveable. It should be linked to a GUID, as the current model doesn't allow you to change your mind without potentially significant effort to follow.

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft OneNote:**

Use the OneNote 2016 client application, not OneNote for Windows or web app.

**What problems is Microsoft OneNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

All my information gathering, note-taking, scratchpad for every reason. It's cloud-based with very frequently synced local working files, so you're not tied to Internet connectivity or to any particular computer. It's not as lightweight as, say, Google Keep, but it's so much more powerful and worth the extra overhead.

  ### 44. Best notebook tool around

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed Date:** February 13, 2023

**What do you like best about Microsoft OneNote?**

data can be shared among locations, you can save different tipe of data

**What do you dislike about Microsoft OneNote?**

Not clear where data is saved and how to back it up

**What problems is Microsoft OneNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Using a digital notebook

  ### 45. OneNote is Incredible! Gone are the days of piles of scrap paper and scribbles!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Scott M. | People Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 28, 2022

**What do you like best about Microsoft OneNote?**

I love that OneNote can handle everything I throw at it as far as content and pages and subpages of ideas and notes. I can copy and paste pictures and charts, graphs etc. and it doesn't miss a beat. I have main folders of different categories of notes and data and within those tabs, I have sub-sections of notes from meetings and brainstorming sessions. I love how it allows me to be organzed with my tasks and ideas and it is a place for me to deposit copy-pastes that I need to keep track of.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft OneNote?**

It can quickly become disorganized if I do not keep up my self-discipline and make sure I keep it organized and not too messy. It is not a "living" document and can sit there for days if I don't do anything with it so it isn't going to remind me to do the things on my "To-do List" tab, but it will still be there for me when I can get to it. Other apps do the things I dislike about OneNote better, but that isn't what it is for anyway.

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft OneNote:**

I use this every day and love it tremendously. Some advice I have is to regularly go back through your tabs and sections and remember what you've put in there! Also, take things you may have added on the fly and curate them and reorganize them before they get out of hand! Or maybe it's just me!

**What problems is Microsoft OneNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As I said in the title of my review, I used to rely on scraps of paper and scribbled notes that I would scribble out when I was finished with them. You can imagine that this gets disorganized and I have different kinds of ideas and notes all piled together so that different subjects are on the same page. If I forget to scribble it off or forget it is listed there I might not remember to do it. Well with OneNote I can stay organized with my notes, and even more so! I have different color-coded sections and constantly refer back to different sections I have for different data I rely on regularly. I keep notes for recurring meetings in a funning tab and also copy and paste links that I need to go back to for research. It is an absolutely revolutionizing app for me and my work.

**What do you like best about Microsoft OneNote?**

The best thing about Microsoft OneNote is that we can create a backup of the data in OneDrive. There is a good structure available for keeping notes and that makes it easy to find whenever required. In case I do not have a laptop we can access it on mobile too.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft OneNote?**

One thing which I do not like is that every morning when I launch it on the laptop a new blank white page appears and I have to close that every day.
A very few times I had a sync issue in this app too with OneDrive.

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft OneNote:**

This is an app that you can trust, Your data are safe here and it is really easy to use. Your data will be safe so just go for it, you can access it across different platforms

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Telecommunications | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 10, 2019

**What do you like best about Microsoft OneNote?**

OneNote is good at helping you structure your notes. One can create several booklets and standard features, such as bullet points etc., are available to structure your thoughts.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft OneNote?**

I have never been a big fan of electronic notes. I think it is more intuitive to take pen and paper and take notes manually. Due to a lack of experience-enhancing features, OneNote has not been able to convince me of the contrary.

**What problems is Microsoft OneNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I only use OneNote because it was standard on my work computer. The biggest advantage is that notes are now more easily shareable, whereas before some of my colleagues couldn't even read them due to my bad handwriting.
