"Fantastic Software with Fast ROI"

What do you like best about MetaViewer?

Web interface to handle documents in an efficient manner. Very fast and responsive interface allows to users to quickly pick up and become familiar with the system. The latest update enables documents to flow at a much faster (almost real-time) pace between steps, creating a smoother experience for the user. This system has been the best OCR/AP management tool I've come across. It is mostly modifiable as well, which enables our IT team to implement our own changes where needed. Mostly handled in SQL and modular queries, the software is highly adaptable and can connect with virtually any platform via integration points. We aren't bottlenecked into anything with Metaviewer. We have the freedom to use whatever product best suits our business and have the convenience and peace of mind of Metaviewer's adaptability to integrate with whatever our business needs. What do you dislike about MetaViewer?

The separate profiling client is a disconnect from the web interface. It requires a targeted workstation install and isn't part of the daily process. The client works well, but having to switch back and forth as the administrator can be a nuisance. It would be great if this was integrated into the web in some way. Analytics are fairly primitive. Getting more information to processing time, vendor issues, vendors sending duplicate documents, etc. would be a nice change. We also have a fair amount of useless documents coming through without any good way to handle. It would be nice if these could be filed elsewhere, away from the AP process. Recommendations to others considering MetaViewer:

Metaviewer is a fantastic tool to convert your AP process to paperless. It can/will happen much faster than you think. Of course, there's some planning that needs to be done and coordinating with vendors in order to have documents in compliance with Metaviewer's specifications. If executed properly (not a tall task), Metaviewer hits the ground running.. and never stops. It's been a pivotal tool for our organization and has enabled us to grow without worrying about the AP activity. Built in 3 way match maintains accounting best practices while minimizing the work required to input and track receipts. I continue to look into competing products, but Metaviewer still holds the crown for this segment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is MetaViewer solving and how is that benefiting you?

We chose Metaviewer to reduce AP document turnaround time, update payable processes to paperless, approval workflows and communication, faster closing time. Faster processing time has enabled consistent early pay discounts and better relationships with our vendors as invoices can't be lost/misplaced. We are able to determine how many invoices are outstanding at any given time, helping closing cycles and audit events. We're able to turn around document requests very rapidly, saving considerable staff time. What do you like best about MetaViewer?

Being able to find an invoice within seconds! Being able to let someone know when something was paid, or why it was not being paid (we add notes when something should not be paid). Being able to easily put columns in any order per user and sort them just by clicking. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about MetaViewer?

How sometimes when tabbing thru in verification mode, it doesn't tab to the next field. This could be something that could be fixed by MV - I just have not approached anyone.

Now that we've been using it for awhile, I'd like to be able to move the fields around in verification mode so they don't have to be tabbed thru.

Most of our orders are drop shipped. I wish there was a way to tie the AP invoice in MV to our invoice to our customer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is MetaViewer solving and how is that benefiting you?

We use to have to create a spreadsheet from our accounting system of invoices that need to be paid. We would send this spreadsheet to different employees for them to make notes on whether the invoice should or should not be paid. That was all pretty manual. And we would have to duplicate this every week.

Now, the notes are put right in MV and we can easily pull a Spreadsheet from MV of invoices due with the notes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great Solution to Streamline your AP Process!"

What do you like best about MetaViewer?

Metaviewer has streamlined our invoice approval process, as well as, increased our overall efficiency in processing invoices. The ability to have record of all communication regarding a particular invoice is pivotal in how our company handles discrepancies. The automation makes processing invoices a breeze! Data entry is a distant memory! The check batch review functionality is particularly a favorite as we have invoice support for each check run organized in one location. What do you dislike about MetaViewer?

There is one feature we utilize by our ERP provider that is not supported by Metaviewer. This results in manual processing of invoices outside of Metaviewer. In addition, physically received invoice is still a pain point. The scanning of those invoices reduces the quality and Metaviewer is unable to read and auto-populate the fields. However the number of manual invoices are minimal compared to the volume we process through Metaviewer. Would recommend having support for all ERP features and a way to better read physical invoices. Recommendations to others considering MetaViewer:

Metaviewer has a great product that will streamline your AP department. Transitioning from manual to an automated process will definitely have its challenges , but growth is never comfortable in the beginning. The results will be worth it. I recommend transitioning your vendors to send electronic invoices. This should start prior to implementation. What problems is MetaViewer solving and how is that benefiting you?

Metaviewer has helped increase the volume of invoices we process in a given month without compromising data quality or increased personnel. Communication regarding invoices are organized in one location and aids in resolving discrepancies. We have been able to reduce headcount and working hours following implementation of Metaviewer. Problem resolution now takes a matter of minutes versus days of research. We are able to process invoices with increased speed allowing us to take advantage of vendor discounts. What do you like best about MetaViewer?

What has been most helpful for The Ohio Masonic Home is Metaviewer ability to focus on what is most helpful to us as a customer. The after the sale customer service has been more than outstanding. MetaViewer is a great system for electronic accounts payable workflow. Most of our operational units have wonderful things to say about being able to look in the system for payment details instead of calling Accounting to find out if a bill has been paid. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about MetaViewer?

That it makes it easy to review invoices for multiple companies online and that it eliminates the need to hunt for them through boxes of paper. It also has helped to make invoices more readily available to be processed and allows for more timely payments.
