My main criticism lies with the reporting and analytics module. It’s functional, but it lacks the flexibility I need to deep-dive into our portfolio’s performance. The dashboards provide a solid high-level overview, but when I need to drill down into specific data sets to track a particular KPI or adjust our loan officers' productivity metrics, the process is cumbersome.

the loan origination workflow is pretty straightforward once you get used to it. being able to move applications through the pipeline without jumping between systems saves a lot of time. the decisioning rules are also flexible enough that we can configure them to match our credit policies without needing to call support every time something changes

**What do you dislike about MeridianLink Consumer?**

reporting can feel limited when you need something more customized. pulling specific data cuts usually requires exporting to excel and manipulating it manually which gets tedious. the interface also feels a bit dated in certain areas and some of the navigation isnt as intuitive as it could be, especially for newer staff who are still getting up to speed on the platform

It centralizes our consumer lending process, so applications, decisions, and documents all live in one place instead of being scattered across different systems. That alone cuts down on errors and the back-and-forth between departments. Our turnaround time on loan decisions has improved because the automated decisioning handles the straightforward applications without manual review, which frees our team up to focus on the more complex cases that actually need attention.

I’ve been using MeridianLink Consumer and I appreciate being able to keep applications and loan status all in one place and integration with Experian and DocuSign save me a lot of time and help reduce manual steps. Overall, the workflow feels clear and intutitive, which makes it easier to stay on track even on busy days when I’m juggling multiple tasks.

Some admin changes still require help from support and a few screens look a bit outdated. Its not a major issue, but MeridianLink Consumer could be more flexible and give admins a little more control so we don’t have to reach out for assistance as often.

It delivers instant 24/7 loan approvals by automatically checking credit, verifying identities, and calculating debt ratios against our risk rules.

The initial implementation and administrative backend configuration are highly complex, requiring a massive time investment to map out custom workflows. The biggest hurdle was mapping our complex and legacy lending workflows into the rigid backend configuration, which required extensive trial and error testing. It was incredibly challenging and demanding, requiring months of tedious data mapping and exhaustive testing to align the rigid backend logic with our internal policies.

User friendly interface for both end user and staff, product line updates are efficient and in real time, integrates with most, if not all, core systems. It has the ability to make account opening very simplistic and easy to follow on both deposit and lending products.

**What do you dislike about MeridianLink Consumer?**

Advanced decisioning is below competitors, report customization does not have the ability to capture all fields, ratio calculations are not simplified which cause confusion in a lending department. There are no "recommended/default" settings for products based on super user or peer asset size making projects longer to launch. Some integrations (GAP, MBI,, debt protection) are not always accurate and often times classified as vendor error with no clear direction on solution. 

Account opening fraud features are not advanced enough yet to raise tru red flags and not simple spelling or data input errors.

Tackling advance decision making which gives back time to internal teams to focus on growth initiatives for future decision flows, improving interface settings for increased efficiencies.

It's just a huge time saver and really helps enhance the member experience by having everything in one place. We use a lot of different systems, so the more integrated things can be, the better for minimizing confusion between all the windows.

I don't love that I can't have multiple windows open to reference each other, but I kind of understand how that could mess up the system, so not a major concern. A recent customization made by our company from entering an answer to selecting from a dropdown causes some confusion when deciding how to appropriately designate someone's job industry.

As far as I've used it, I couldn't find many things wrong with MeridianLink Consumer outside of bugs and personal gripes. At it's current pace, MeridianLink Consumer has great potential!

We struggled with areas in the process, such as pre-approval, registering the loan with the specific lenders involved, and clearing conditions with the loan application. The interface and its ease of use resulted in saved time closings occuring on schedule.

I appreciate that MeridianLink Consumer is great for managing loans. I like the ease of access and usability it provides for us as bankers. It's described as the best of the best in terms of helping me take my time and focus on tasks effectively with the system's support. The ease of access to users and reviewing applications is something I find really valuable.

**What do you dislike about MeridianLink Consumer?**

More customization would be better. It would be a lot better to focus up and customize things the way I want them to be.

I use MeridianLink Consumer for loans due to its ease of problem solving and access. It helps me focus with system support and easy access to users and review apps.

I used MeridianLink Consumer to apply for a line of credit and a credit card, and it really simplified the process for me. I like that there's instant approval most of the time. It also follows rules and regulations, which I find reassuring. The initial setup was pretty easy too.

I like that MeridianLink Consumer is useful and easy to get used to. It's easy to find everything I need with the app, as everything is in one place. The setup was pretty fast and it took less than a week to get completely used to.

Or maybe the icons. I don't know. The logo, the brand, the color. It's not my favorite.

What I really like about MeridianLink Consumer is how easy it is to use. Whether you're a member or staff, the software just flows smoothly. It integrates well with core systems, so you can handle the loan origination process without any hassle. It saves time, cuts down on errors, and overall, just makes life easier.

What I don't like about MeridianLink Consumer is that the back office interface feels kinda old and clunky. It's not the easiest to navigate, which can be annoying. Also, if you're hosting your own servers, keeping up with updates can be a bit of a headache.

I love how you can intigrate different add-on extensions that auto populate to your consumer app like the K B B value for an auto

I dislike the lock feature after funding because it make it difficult to upload docs afterward and find an old loan no longer in your queue.

**What do you like best about MeridianLink Consumer?**

It is a solid system, easy to use for both the applicant and finance manager. It streamlines our finance process so that we are not using multiple systems. We have many dealers that use LoansPQ. I appreciate that they keep adding updates and integrations with new vendors and plugins.

**What do you dislike about MeridianLink Consumer?**

The decisions engine is limited. We'd also like to see the ability to add customizations like a field or question without having to contact Support. On that note, the Support team is very responsive. It just seems that the system is a bit inflexible without custom coding

**Recommendations to others considering MeridianLink Consumer:**

Check to make sure they have all of the integrations that you need. For example, they do not integrate with RoutOne. Changing your current processes may be necessary but the system is easy to use and  definitely a time saver

**What problems is MeridianLink Consumer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have made the finance process more efficient, which makes for a better experience for customers.

It is easy to complete a whole application in a short amount of time. Everything you need is right in the system and easy to access.

We recent had issues with responses (dates entered, yes/no questions) saving in the system.

Filling out a complete application with clients in a short period of time. It also helps avoid missing required portions of the application
