Recommendations to others considering Maptitude:

Just do it and don't get swayed by Arcgis even though it is referred to frequently. The software engineering for Arcgis is poor at best. Simple tasks takes much longer than when using Maptitude ... Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"The Answer to Our Need"

What do you like best about Maptitude?

I love the ability to layer items we need. For example, Jacksonville FL just received a wonderful 144 million dollar grant for the new initiative the Emerald Trail. While we are doing an affordable housing initiative we want to make sure that we are creating permanent affordability near that trail. I can elect to include the trail (via GIS Map) or not. I can show a future homeowner how close the amenities are to our lots but when we don't need this data we do not have to busy up our map. You know how you know in your head what you want in a product and you begin to believe that there is no affordable product that can do that for you? Well Maptitude showed me "it can be done, and it can be affordable"! Thank you! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Maptitude?

The time it will take to learn all the options available to us. I am just starting to look at it but the beginning is always a little overwhelming. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Maptitude solving and how is that benefiting you?

We have properties all over the city. To define by say a council land area or a school district are great options. We also drive from lot to lot and since I am not from Jacksonville originally that is a great time saver! "Perfect for creating territories"

What do you like best about Maptitude?

The basics of the program are easy to use. There are a lot of features, and everything is available at once. The customer support has been very fast and very thorough, helping with all issues I have run into and explaining how to find more advanced tools. Installation was easy and fast. What do you dislike about Maptitude?

Advanced features take a while to figure out and not all features are available for the Canada Map Pack. It is slow to use on the desktop and certain things (like removing an area from a territory and adding it to another territory at the same time) can really slow down the entire program and once I had my computer crash when I tried to transfer too much at once.
