**What do you like best about Lively HSA?**

I really like the Lively HSA mobile apps, the receipt vault, and the instant debit card access. It's great for our athletic trainers and coaches, making it easy to scan medical receipts and manage expenses while on the go using their smartphones. This is especially helpful because it allows the athletic staff to track eligible medical and physical therapy expenses immediately while traveling, without needing to deal with paper receipts. The setup process was also pretty straightforward, especially with the help from their onboarding specialist. Once the initial setup was complete, managing benefits for our traveling athletic staff and seasonal personnel became virtually automated and hassle-free.

**What do you dislike about Lively HSA?**

I wish Lively HSA had better multi-facility departmental reporting. Right now, filtering contribution and enrollment reports across different team operation divisions is a hassle. It requires exporting raw CSV files and manually handling them in Excel. It would be great if they introduced custom organization tagging in the employer admin portal to generate departmental contribution reports with one click. Also, the eligible expense search is a bit limited for athletic and recovery care. It mostly focuses on standard clinic care and misses out on specialized sports medicine. It would be nice if they expanded the qualified expenses lookup tools to include dedicated sports medicine and therapeutic wellness categories.

**What problems is Lively HSA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Lively HSA solves payroll deduction errors and high administrative workload for us, especially for our rotational athletic trainers. It automates pretax payroll deductions and wellness contributions, and provides traveling athletic staff with mobile tools to scan receipts and manage expenses on the go.

I like the dynamic permission-based contribution synchronization tools because they accurately calculate pre-tax deductions even with varying monthly paycheck amounts, saving me about 40% of time every month. The mobile receipt capture feature is also great for allowing workshop staff to upload photos of safety eyewear and medical receipts directly from their smartphones for rapid approval. Additionally, I appreciate the real-time employee money allocation feature. The setup was smooth and straightforward, taking about three weeks to integrate everything with our existing systems.

The mobile receipt camera in Lively HSA can be a bit of a hassle, especially in low-light workshop areas. I really like Lively HSA for its features that provide real-time HRIS and payroll synchronization. It automatically creates new employee HSA profiles and updates deduction amounts without needing HR to manually upload CSV files every pay period. This automation has saved our HR team 30% of their time and ensures that every deduction is calculated accurately, eliminating errors in employee accounts. **What do you like best about Lively HSA?**

I like the self-service employee tax vault feature where employees can view and download all historical tax forms like 1099-SA and 5498-SA instantly without needing HR support. The wellness incentive distribution is also a great feature; it makes it really easy to send wellness contributions or save directly to the employee accounts with just a few clicks, saving us weeks compared to before.

**What do you dislike about Lively HSA?**

What I don't really like is the employer matching tier setup interface. Configuring complex multi-tier employer matching rules, like matching 50% up to a certain limit, feels a bit clunky inside the admin panel. We needed our onboarding manager to assist us during setup. I think they need to deploy a more minimalist interface so users can easily open a menu or edit the percentage for the matching rules, without waiting for our managers to change it.

I love Lively HSA's direct payroll system integration and automated employee onboarding. The direct payroll integration syncs automatically with our payroll software, updating contribution changes without needing manual file uploads. This automation saves us time by eliminating manual tasks. I also appreciate the simple registration flow for new employees, guiding them through HSA setup and explaining contribution limits clearly, helping to reduce questions from new hires and providing them with comprehensive documentation. Additionally, setting up the employee portal was simple and straightforward. What I dislike is with the custom reporting filters. When our finance team needs to export specific year end contribution report by department the filtering options are a bit rigid so we have to clean up the export Excel files manually. It really takes some chunks of my daily work. And, taking too much time for simple things that should be automated. I think they really need to improve this aspect.

The service task involves enhancing the user experience by simplifying investment setup, improving employer reporting formats, and ensuring educational materials are accessible and clear. The focus is on increasing employee engagement and satisfaction with the HSA platform.

**What do you like best about Lively HSA?**

I really appreciate the educational materials and user interface, especially because they're available in Spanish, which has been tremendously helpful given that about 30% of our workforce speaks Spanish as their primary language. The bilingual approach means I no longer have to be the only bridge for understanding benefits. The receipt capture feature through the mobile app is super useful for employees who don't have desk jobs. They can simply snap a photo of a receipt during their breaks, and it's logged, preventing the loss of receipts in trucks or lunch pails. The automation of employee contributions through payroll integration is a lifesaver, freeing up my time by making the process seamless. Switching from our old provider to Lively took about six weeks, but the support team was super helpful and even held an on-site info session, which made a huge difference in the understanding and enrollment of our employees. The educational materials within the app helped our employees understand how an HSA works and increased our enrollment significantly from 12% to over 40%.

The investment setup is opaque for our workforce specifically. Our floor workers who have built up HSA balances have asked about investing that money. I've spent probably four hours cumulatively working individual employees through it, which shouldn't be my job. The employer reporting for year-end reconciliation is not in the format I need for our finance team. I still export data and reformat it manually, which is exactly the kind of thing modern software should handle. It's not a deal breaker, but annoying every January.

To improve the user experience, consider simplifying the investment setup process and providing more intuitive guidance for employees unfamiliar with investing. I like the clean user interface and up to date technology not often found in financial services. The process is simple and clean and I can invest my funds for the long term through Schwab, a great brokerage with a long track record.

I feel that Lively HSA is one of the easier HSA accounts I have used in the past. Their website is very user-friendly, and it's easy to use. I like the home screen because it immediately tells you what your balance is as soon as you log in, which is important to me. I am not the biggest fan of Lively COBRA. I have not had the same experience, responsiveness, and helpfulness as I have the other side of Lively.

**What problems is Lively HSA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

More visibility for employees into their HSA account. Our past provider website was slow and hard to use, so it did not feel accessible. Employees can request their own HSA replacement cards, i love that. The more an employee can do on their own, the less my overburdened workload has to resolve requests.

I find Lively HSA incredibly efficient for managing employee HSA accounts. The process of registering new employees is quick and seamless, as I only need to log in, enter their information, and it gets sent to them for final registration. Once they've registered, I just need their account number to integrate everything into our HRIS. It's that simple. Rarely do I face any issues regarding employees accessing their accounts, which speaks to the service's reliability. I regularly review reports from Lively HSA to ensure everything functions smoothly, and the access to these reports provides me with a sense of reassurance that all processes are underway correctly. What also adds value is how seamless the initial setup was; it demanded little time and effort from our end, and the platform's intuitiveness meant that minimal training was needed. Overall, the ease of use, efficiency in registration and account access, and the simplicity of the initial setup are standout features that make Lively HSA valuable to me.

I really like that Lively HSA is very easy to set up, which required only about two hours worth of phone calls to get started. The ease of setup made the system friendly for our users, particularly because HSAs were a new concept in our organization. Many of our employees were not familiar with HSAs, and the straightforward setup removed any hassle they might have faced. Additionally, I appreciate the good customer service provided by Lively HSA. The support team has been helpful, offering excellent assistance to both human resources and employees who had questions about their HSA accounts. The support quality ensures that anyone with inquiries can get timely and accurate information. The user experience is another aspect I value, as it enabled our employees to transition quickly to using Lively HSA. It serves as a ready resource for the information they need, reducing the need for them to contact HR for details that are now readily available at their fingertips. Overall, these features make Lively HSA a very convenient and supportive tool for maintaining our HSA savings account.

I appreciate Lively HSA's user-friendly interface, which significantly reduces the time I need to spend monitoring individual accounts. Its direct integration with our payroll system, Paycom, eliminates the necessity for manual contribution submissions, streamlining the whole process. I also value the swift and efficient reimbursement process provided by Lively HSA, allowing operations to proceed smoothly and promptly. As an administrator, this efficiency greatly reduces the frequent need to interact with employees about account management, as they can handle many tasks independently, minimizing back-and-forth communications. It's this empowerment and ease of use that truly stand out for me.

**What do you dislike about Lively HSA?**

I find communication on the admin side a bit confusing because the emails from our representatives all come from the same 'customer success' email address. This makes it difficult to track who I'm speaking with. Additionally, Lively HSA emails often end up in spam or junk folders, which complicates the process of setting up staff initially as they sometimes can't find the necessary emails. I also wish for a more seamless integration where employees' elected contributions directly sync with payroll. Currently, only payroll contributions sync from our payroll administrators to the Lively system, not the changes made by employees within Lively.

I use Lively HSA to eliminate manual monitoring and submission of HSA accounts. It syncs with our payroll system, is user-friendly, quick with reimbursements, and reduces back-and-forth with employees, streamlining administrative tasks.

It would be nice if Lively has a direct integration with iSolved HCM.  Since there isn't one, we have to pay a third party to get data from iSolved into Lively.

We also understand the desire for a more direct connection with iSolved. Lively can and has worked directly with iSolved to support secure file feed setup where applicable. That said, in some cases, a payroll or HCM provider may license HSA/FSA technology from another party, and that provider may determine how the file feed is configured and whether any related costs are passed along to the employer. Those decisions and fees would be part of that provider’s structure, not Lively’s.

We appreciate you raising this — if you reach out directly to your Customer Success Manager, we would be happy to work with your team to review the current setup and help identify the best available path to streamline data into Lively.

Lively is easy to use. The platform flows well and is intuitive. I've had to submit receipts for reimbursement when I wasn't able to use my card and it was seamless and I received the money back quickly.

As an employer plan administrator and personal user of Lively, I am pleased with the ease of use and implementation we had during our change from another provider. We also had a wonderful customer service representative assigned to us who was always quick to respond and had the answer quickly. We rarely have employee complaints over Lively, and when something comes up, the portal is easy to navigate to find the answers for both personal use and admin duties.

I have used Lively since January 2024, and I have yet to find something that I didn't like about it.

**What do you like best about Lively HSA?**

In the past we needed all of our employees go into a bank branch to set up a HSA account that we would be able to deposit into.  along with this, the bank required them to open a separate savings or checking. Then I would have to physically go to a branch and deposit their company contribution into the account. This was a monthly nightmare and many employees took months to get set up. Now it is painless and done from a Smart phone or computer. THANK YOU!

**What do you dislike about Lively HSA?**

The only downside is the 2-4 days that it takes for funds to appear after a deposit has been made but we are just prepared for it now.

Ease of enrollment and funding the accounts.

**What do you like best about Lively HSA?**

I spent close to a year searching for a modern platform for administering benefits until I came across Lively. My company is using it for commuter benefits and I've been impressed from start to finish. Their platform allows employees to manage their contributions themselves. Onboarding was quick, we were up and running in less than two weeks. Our Customer Success Manager has been with us from the start and was able to get the platform customized to our needs.

**What do you dislike about Lively HSA?**

I haven't had any issues with the platform as of yet.

**What problems is Lively HSA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Lively's platform allowed me to put commuter benefit decisions solely in my employees' hands. My employees can control how much they'd like to contribute each month and Lively provides me with a report at the end of each month with the amount to deduct from the employee's paycheck.

They have a super user friendly system making ongoing enrollments, and particularly open enrollment, a breeze! Implementation took no time at all and our customer support rep, Luke, has always been super communicative whenever needs arise.

**What do you dislike about Lively HSA?**

Nothing I can think of at this time. Maybe just a refresh on the website; websites these days are all trending towards UX/CX and there might be an opportunity to streamline what you have.

**What problems is Lively HSA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We don't use Lively for HSA, just for general purpose healthcare FSA and dependent care FSA. We are interested in possibly adding lifestyle spending accounts for 2025, which Lively now offers.

**What do you like best about Lively HSA?**

Nothing. My experience with Lively has been very upsetting, stressful and they have failed to deliver in every conceivable way. I could not be more disappointed in their services.

**What do you dislike about Lively HSA?**

My experience with Lively has been absolutely awful. I opened up an HSA account with Lively who partnered with my bank. I added funds to the account in preparation for my husband's upcoming surgery and waited to receive the debit card. The surgery is tomorrow. I have never received the debit card. I have called and emailed Lively and they were supposed to expedite a new card and send it overnight. Well....they managed to screw that up too and are unable to get a tracking number for reasons unbeknownst to me. They are now saying it is possible the card will not arrive until Saturday and the surgery is on Friday. My funds are trapped in this account due to Lively's bumbling incompetence and unprofessionalism.

**What problems is Lively HSA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I never received my debit card. I requested a replacement expedited/overnighted to me and they managed to screw that up as well. Now funds set aside in my HSA are unavailable for my husband's surgery tomorrow.

**What do you like best about Lively HSA?**

Lively HSA provided a straight-forward flexible HSA solution for our company, without some of the complexities of the offerings of providers tied to our insurance programs/providers. The interface has been clean and simple to use from the first day and has provided complete transparency in the processing of transactions coming out and contributions going it.

When we first engaged with the platform, it was easy to enroll the team, enroll their contribution accounts, and establish a routine for updating as needed.

Since we are a smaller company, the simple framework made for easy integration with our accounting practices for company participation.

**What do you dislike about Lively HSA?**

At this point, we have not experienced any adverse situations in our use of Lively HSA, the website or the App.

**What problems is Lively HSA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We had not found a solution for HSA coverage for our team that fit our requirements and was less 'bulky' that the primary services offered through our insurance registration/vendors. By providing a viable, easy-to-use HSA platform, we are able to improve the net benefit to our team on using this valuable tax saving strategy.

I have loved the simplicity and ease of use of Lively HSA. The app is smooth and user friendly and resources are available at the touch of a button. I am also the plan administrator for our company and have been happy with the service we have received with enrolling staff in their HSA accounts.

The ONLY issue I've had was when we initially enrolled I was told a different pricing per user when we went to enroll versus when we were initially quoted- I asked and it was researched and corrected immediately.

The education and breakdown of HSA on Lively are top notch. The best breakdowns I've seen explaining HSA's and easily doing so for those that may not know exactly what an HSA is!

I'm not sure there is anything I dislike regarding Lively.

We deal largely with individuals recovering from substance misuse or alcohol misuse and most of them have never thought about an HSA, Lively HSA's are proving super beneficial to assist them with their over-the-counter healthcare needs while getting their lives back on track.

**What do you like best about Lively HSA?**

The platform itself is extremely easy to use. The implementation specialist was very helpful and available for my questions. All features that are available in other bigger name payroll vendors are available here but in a more user-friendly package for my employees.

**What do you dislike about Lively HSA?**

The payroll date for contribution changes is a little unclear sometimes. As a smaller business, we do not meet the minimum fee and therefore, the platform itself is a little bit pricey.

**What problems is Lively HSA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A place where all my employees that contribute to their HSA can easily manage the funds and have easy access to them when paying for medical expenses. Also facilitates the employer contribution all with very little effort during setup.
