I then saw they were charging me $49 a month for a subscription I never signed up for. When I called to inquire and get the charges reversed, the billing/finance person kept talking over me and telling me they had no record of my account. When I asked to speak to someone with finance to discuss the specific use of my card, she yelled that she was the person and I just needed to talk to my bank, and nothing more she could do. When I asked again why they couldn't find the account my card was attached to, she said she was going to hang up on me if I kept asking about the issue. She was VERY rude from the start, which makes me think they either have a ton of calls with this complaint and know what they are doing, or their customer service practice is horrendous. ### 2. RUN AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. But, be warned, you will likely need to hire an attorney to cancel. **What do you dislike about LawDepot?** They will automatically hook you up to a monthly recurring subscription and continue to charge you forever until you notice it. When complaining, they will hold the charge regardless of whether the service was every used or not. We actually canceled many months ago and they never followed through with the cancellation. To do this I had to subscribe to their service, however would not be charged the subscription fee, if I cancelled it, after creating this one document. Which I did, as I had done two other times over the past 4 years. However the cancellation failed to go through and I just noticed I had been charged $40.95 per month for the past 4 months. When I called in, the best they were willing to do was to reverse the last charge, leaving me with a cost of $122.85 cost for this one document. Not what I call an understanding company. Bottomline, MAKE SURE YOU CANCEL YOUR SUBSCRIPTION AND THAT YOU GET A CONFIRMATION OF THAT CANCELLATION! **What problems is LawDepot solving and how is that benefiting you?** LawDepot, in the past, has allowed me to create legal draft documents, occationally, for non-profit events that I'm involved with. ### 4. BEWARE! No Refunds! Don't give them your cc unless you plan to use the service. They will charge you $50 a month whether you use the service or not. Very unethical. Email from them went to spam. I tried to cancel within 3 days and they said they would not refund, so I have given Law Depot $50 of my hard earned money for absolutely no service. Good work if you can get it, I guess. I could never recommend a company like this. I took the subscritption for the free 7days period on their website, during the 7days I remember having cancelled the service online but during 2 month those swindlers still took money from my bank account. When I called customer service they said they can't see that I've canceled my subscription (obviously I didn't had any proof) and that they won't reimburse even if I never connected on ther website after the trial. Once a free account is transitioned to paid account, there wont be any intimation that charges will be done. Ontop of that the company will silently start charging the credit card. There is neither prior intimation nor confirmation mail that such charges are done in the credit card. Its interface is modern, very dynamic and responds quickly to any action performed, that is, any search for documents, templates and more. I love LawDepot because it prioritizes the interest of each user who makes use of it; I mean precisely that each paper is adjusted to the location so that each person obtains a legal document with the laws established in their state or country so that they do not there is no inconvenience with it. It offers a wide variety of templates in which it is unnecessary to go to a specialist in this area to fill them out since the data of the people involved must be entered. I didn't realize that I was still getting charged $33 a month for something I never used after that (plus an international charge fee, cause why would they tell you that up front) When I reached out, the live chat woman told me no to a refund for the first month, so I called for a manager. She wrote me off completely and told me she couldn't tell what I did or didn't do with the website, which you can see how people access your site, I know the back end of a website ma'am. Then when I said I hit end free trial, she was like we can't see that, you must've done something wrong. Just very accusative, with little help. I am thankful for the one month refund, but I obviously didn't use the site and missed that I had gotten charged. Very annoyed with this site, don't use it.
