# Which Adobe consulting services stay responsive through database cleanup and architecture retrofits across Marketo and leading CRM platforms?

Responsiveness during database cleanup and architecture retrofits is a specific test of a consulting partner. It's the unglamorous phase where communication gaps pose the greatest risk, and the work is often less well-defined than in initial implementations. This matters specifically in Adobe consulting services because the complexity of Marketo's CRM sync means data decisions made during cleanup have downstream effects on scoring, routing, and reporting that surface months later. Here's what reviewer evidence shows for this specific workflow:

Nomad Marketing performed Marketo tech debt cleanup, rebuilt scoring models, and implemented database governance as part of a sustained engagement for a company without an internal marketing ops function. The reviewer at ChowNow describes completing Marketo cleanup, a new scoring model, and two key retention programs within six months, reflecting both execution speed and responsiveness to shifting work priorities.

Nomad Marketing reviewers also describe twice-weekly call structures and daily Slack availability as part of how the firm stays embedded during ongoing database and integration work. One reviewer managing a two-person ops team describes Nomad as the resource that handles longer-term projects that would otherwise interfere with day-to-day work.

Marketing Automation Corp: MAC reviewers with duplicate-heavy Marketo instances and CRM sync issues describe the team resolving root cause database problems. One reviewer credits MAC with eliminating duplicates without losing leads in the sync process. Another describes proactively resolving MAC-related issues rather than waiting for client-reported problems during most database maintenance work.

CS2: Reviewer accounts describe CS2's handling of CRM cleanup, the deprecation of legacy statuses, data normalization, and contact role reconciliation across Salesforce and Marketo. The key differentiator cited is that CS2 documents what changed and why, enabling the internal team to maintain the architecture after the engagement without having to reconstruct the logic from scratch.

DemandGen: Reviewers describe DemandGen handling GDPR compliance cleanup, database normalization, and lead funnel restructuring across multi-platform environments. One reviewer specifically notes improved lead response times and marketing contribution to revenue as outcomes tied to database work that cleaned up definitional inconsistencies between marketing and sales.

For teams that have been through a Marketo cleanup where the CRM sync broke partway through: how much of that was a data problem versus a communication breakdown between the consultant and internal sales ops, and which partners managed to keep both sides aligned during the process?

Database cleanup isn't really a project, it's a recurring condition, and the Marketo-CRM sync is usually the source of the mess rather than just a place the mess has downstream effects. A one-time scrub that doesn't fix the sync's dedup and field-mapping rules regresses within months, because the same sync keeps minting the duplicates, so cleaning without fixing the sync is bailing a leaking boat. The capability worth selecting for is whether the partner fixes what generates the bad data, form validation, dedup rules, sync logic, not how responsive they are during the cleanup itself. After your last cleanup, did the database stay clean, or did the same dupes come back because the sync that created them never changed?
