Aside from that it's a perfect tool **What problems is Komodo Decks solving and how is that benefiting you?** Komodo Decks allows me to easily record my screen and send it, via a link, to other people. But beyond that I can explain how to do something and then provide both the video and a set of writen instructions created by Komodo. ### 3. Also, being able to convert the recording into guides is a great success. Another thing I like is that the storage capacity is unlimited, so you can save videos in Komodo even if you haven't recorded them there. I use it a lot to quickly explain things to my clients, and recently even to record my own training sessions. **What do you dislike about Komodo Decks?** The recording options are quite limited for now. You cannot move the screen where your face appears, nor can you hide the buttons that appear below. **What problems is Komodo Decks solving and how is that benefiting you?** It allows me to record quick explanations in minutes for my clients. I have also recorded several tool tutorials thanks to Komodo and I am happy with the result. ### 4. We can also add content as a voice-over to the screen recording where no need to involve 3rd party application. Video can also be edited to the software itself. Shared links to the video can also be whitelisted and folders can be created for future reference. It has an extension so I find it easier to record and video analytics can be seen. **What do you dislike about Komodo Decks?** Overall it is a good platform but it does not work on a low-quality internet connection. **What problems is Komodo Decks solving and how is that benefiting you?** Screen recording with Voiceover, and editing can be done and we could write the summary and tag for the video. Video analytics can be viewed and we can also download transcription too. ### 5. Excellent value for the price. They've even updated the app so it's easier to use and more stable. I use this regularly to share video screenshares to get ideas across that are too too complicated for emails. It also saves us time because we can avoid scheduling meetings by hitting all the points that need to be covered in a shorter video. **What do you dislike about Komodo Decks?** It would be great if we could include the camera view even when sharing individual windows. My guess is that will be added eventually though. **What problems is Komodo Decks solving and how is that benefiting you?** We were able to replace Loom (saving cost) and Vimeo record (buggy) with Komodo Decks. We do our Standard Operating Procedures with it, sometimes with the guide and sometimes without. Any time we do a new procedure, we fire it up and record as we go. The video can become the new SOP as is, or we can hand it over to a tech to turn it into one easily. The storage system is also easy to use so we can find previous videos at any time. It is also serving as a great replacement for email during technical troubleshooting. This alone is worth it, we haven't even begun to use the editing features. ### 6. If there were one thing I would change about Komodo Decks, it would be the ability to save clicks and interactions on every type of website. For the large majority of case uses, it works flawlessly. One tool I use I tried using Komodo but was unable to record clicks. I'm sure this is a glitch. Update: This now works! **What problems is Komodo Decks solving and how is that benefiting you?** Komodo is the tool you could use to build a knowledge base of video/screencast how-to's. While it doesn't contain all the ingredients of a software demo creator, it could be used for providing demonstration of a range of tasks and processes.
