## About Knack
Knack is an AI-powered no-code platform for building custom, database-driven applications, internal tools, and portals. Businesses use Knack to create systems that manage data, automate workflows, and support day-to-day operations, all in one place. The platform combines a built-in relational database, AI app builder, customizable forms, and workflow automation. Users can define their data model, create user roles, and control access with granular permissions. Applications can be deployed as internal tools or external portals, and embedded into existing websites. Knack supports a wide range of use cases, including customer and vendor portals, custom CRMs, project and task management systems, inventory tracking, logistics and supply chain tools, membership and volunteer management, and government operations. Teams can start from scratch, from a template, or use AI to build fully custom applications tailored to their processes. Knack's healthcare-specific offering, Knack Health, allows organizations to build secure, HIPAA-compliant applications for patient intake, scheduling, care coordination, and operational workflows. The platform supports role-based permissions, record history logs, and secure data handling for protected health information (PHI), with a signed business associate agreement (BAA) available for covered entities. For more advanced use cases, developers can extend applications using a REST API, custom CSS, and JavaScript. Knack also supports integrations with 500+ third-party tools to fit into existing workflows. ## Knack Reviews
 ### 1. Flexibility with API to do almost anything; unusably slow two days a quarter business at standstill

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 14, 2021

**What do you like best about Knack?**

Flexibility with API to do almost anything.

**What do you dislike about Knack?**

Unusably slow about two days every quarter; in the morning, the app is unusable, but its 24-hour support, so employees spend the entire business day down.

**Recommendations to others considering Knack:**

Mission critical apps need to be on private server otherwise, your app will be unusable a couple of times a quarter.

**What problems is Knack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Created medium complexity app to process financial transactions where workers spend 50% of their time.

 ### 2. Did not work for our organization.

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Mental Health Care | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 02, 2022

**What do you like best about Knack?**

It was easy to create forms, but it did not work overall.

**What do you dislike about Knack?**

Pulling reports was nearly impossible. It was difficult to configure for multiple users. The salesperson before we created a paid account with Knack misled us about what was possible with the program.

**What problems is Knack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We left Knack in May of 2021 because it was not a good fit for us.

 ### 3. Great Platform to build exactly what you need

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 17, 2021

**What do you like best about Knack?**

The fact that nearly anyone can use it to make what they actually want is very useful. It works on both normal PC desktop and mobile devices allows for flexibility. They offer a couple weeks free to try and test out the product to ensure it is right for your group. Also the fact when you speak to people they are really in America is becoming more and more important to our group when looking for vendors.

**What do you dislike about Knack?**

We have noticed that at times it will knock us out of work and after testing and review we think it's because we have multiple tabs open working on things at the same time. Other than that not too much negative to think of here.

**Recommendations to others considering Knack:**

Give it a try, with the free trial it is a no brainer and I'm sure you will like it too.

**What problems is Knack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were able to build the app we needed to add all on our own. After doing so we found it very useful how you are able to track and review the information in Knack. It was the difference maker at helping track large amounts of data we had then.

 ### 4. Great all in one system for small teams

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Romeo P. | President, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 24, 2021

**What do you like best about Knack?**

Knack for Business has many CRM features, making it easier for you to rely on one system. Their system also works on many types of devices.

**What do you dislike about Knack?**

I think Knack for Business needs a refresh of its interface. A CRM system must also be easy to navigate and understand.

**Recommendations to others considering Knack:**

I think this is an excellent tool for smaller teams who have a smaller client base.

**What problems is Knack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I liked having all of my invoices, notes, and contact info within one dashboard.

 ### 5. Knack Review!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Sports | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 23, 2021

**What do you like best about Knack?**

We really like how Knack lets us completely tell the marketing team what we want created so it takes away the back and forth and makes it easy for everyone to understand the mission at hand.

**What do you dislike about Knack?**

There is nothing we dislike. I guess maybe the only thing that can be changed would be the ability to have a dashboard and see what you have Knacked previously.

**What problems is Knack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The biggest problem is the lack of the communication between sales and marketing. With both departments so overloaded with work Knack eliminates 100 back and forth emails.

 ### 6. Knack works great

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 23, 2021

**What do you like best about Knack?**

Knack helped our team build app-based tables for client management. It was really fast to build detailed database, forms, and reports.

**What do you dislike about Knack?**

Support time could be better. Occasionally changes are made and it breaks parts of it. When multiple users and access the same data it can be frustrating. Having a better testing option before pushing live would be better.

**Recommendations to others considering Knack:**

Try Knack out. Its is easy to get started and offers a free trial.

**What problems is Knack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Knack to build a database of clients. We use it to collect, report and manage them. It is much cheaper than hiring a developer.

 ### 7. User-Friendly Database Software

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Arts and Crafts | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 17, 2021

**What do you like best about Knack?**

This truly is a customizable software which makes it incredibly user friendly. I like being able to make this exactly what I'm looking for.

**What do you dislike about Knack?**

The app glitches a bit. It could use some updating.

**What problems is Knack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I previously used this for my side-hustle business in which I sell multiple types of products. It helped me be organized in order to keep my accounting reporting correct. It helped me see where I'm actually making money and where I should be focusing more of my efforts on. I stopped using it because I stopped focusing on this side-hustle as much and didn't want to put more money into it where I didn't have to.

 ### 8. Knack is a Whole New Ball Game!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** T R. | Customer Service Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 22, 2021

**What do you like best about Knack?**

The Simplicity of searching and adding information.

**What do you dislike about Knack?**

There isn't too much that I dislike about Knack.

**What problems is Knack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are solving record-keeping and updating issues that we have had in the past.

 ### 9. Awesome database builder

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bruna R. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 25, 2020

**What do you like best about Knack?**

I like that knack is intuitive and easy to learn how to use, it offers a lot of possibilities when configurating your objects, fields, actions . It also has a great knowledge base and a community with useful solutions when you are trying to customize your app even further. You can do lots of things without the need of coding which is awesome and if you do need coding and are not experienced you can find help in the community center. From all the database builders that I tried ( and it was quite a few) knack was the best. Support is also good

**What do you dislike about Knack?**

It lacks a feature here and there that I see myself in need sometimes but I can submit it for the team to review and add to their list of improvements. The support is good, but I have a feeling that it could be better.

**What problems is Knack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Now I have all my business information in one place. From construction site measures to proposals, invoices, control of emails sent, past dues, vehicles documents, bills, almost everything.

 ### 10. Great NoCode Builder for Many Different Needs

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** John Y. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 20, 2020

**What do you like best about Knack?**

Our team has used Knack to build out entire OS systems for nonprofits and small businesses. It's flexibility allows for many variations to meet needs from receipt submissions on the finance side to data tracking on the program/mission side. While there is a learning curve, once you get the 'Knack' of how the platform works, you will be building in no time.

**What do you dislike about Knack?**

The UI can use some more flexibility in how it looks and how the embedded tables function on sites. Internally the design is not the number #1 priority, but when customer facing, being able to add some more design components would be great. They do offer some levels of CSS flexibility which helps a bit.

**Recommendations to others considering Knack:**

Give it a try, build out a test application, embed in a website, and see if the design and style meet your needs. Use their support guides and help team to really take your learning to the next level. If you don't think Knack can what you want, ask their support first, as each time I am surprised about how deep the tool can go.

**What problems is Knack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Building operating applications for various nonprofits and small businesses from finance, to HR, to client facing needs.

 ### 11. Looking for a competitor that works.

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Emiliano H. | Data architect, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 19, 2021

**What do you like best about Knack?**

Veyr easy to get a site going, reporting facilities are adequate.

**What do you dislike about Knack?**

The API is beyond ridiculous. All fields have meaningless names like "field_1542" and "object_67". The API does not return the values you write into it. It is insanely slow, needing multithreaded requests just so you get above 2 updates per second. That is if your updates come through, because we're hitting "504 Server Error: Gateway Time-out for url" frequently. The technology looks like it's been put together by a student early in his career, and not a talented student at that.

**What problems is Knack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easy reporting on daily corona stats.

 ### 12. Swiss Army Knife for Our Department Needs

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Carla B. | IT Project Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 20, 2020

**What do you like best about Knack?**

Knack provides a relational database integrated with an online form development environment. The pricing for Knack for a corporate non-profit is very reasonable and allows for enough development and production space as part of the package. The ability to integrate with my organization's identity management system is a must. Knack help is pretty responsive. I like that the company seems to be constantly innovating.

**What do you dislike about Knack?**

Would like a SQL tool that would allow for more robust queries. Would like some more flexibility around deleting parent views without deleting child views especially login screens. Would like some more flexibility around layout. Need more work with scheduling - the availability of blackout dates would be very useful.

**Recommendations to others considering Knack:**

Knack is a unique tool that allows for creating a relational database and then developing online forms. It allows for some more advanced business logic without having to do all of the backend coding, database maintenance - let alone web server maintenance etc. It's a Swiss Army Knife for solving data problems in our 200+ department.

**What problems is Knack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Key assignment and checkout for our 200+ department; workflow solutions integrated with organization's identity management; development environment that does not involve a huge learning curve. Ability to share data in embedded web pages - gather data in one palce and then display in another. Am using the API to extract data from a table to import into an Oracle database - the frontend development is just so much easier and the API is fairly easy to use.

 ### 13. Great software for client information

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Health, Wellness and Fitness | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 18, 2021

**What do you like best about Knack?**

easy to use for background information on client background/ easy to keep digital forms

**What do you dislike about Knack?**

sometimes we cant locate client profiles

**What problems is Knack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

easy to store information on client skin background. Easy for staff to read prior to service

 ### 14. Knack best database software

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Amit J. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 20, 2020

**What do you like best about Knack?**

Knack helps us create an app based on tables just like Microsoft access. Its easy to use and anyone can make an app instantly which can run on any device seamlessly. The most attractive part is they allow us to use custom codes and they do not charge based on app users.

**What do you dislike about Knack?**

I did not come across anything which I could dislike.

**Recommendations to others considering Knack:**

Knack is one of the best platforms I have used. Whether you want to prototype your idea or solve your data management problem, it is the best.

**What problems is Knack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I wanted to create a software and was looking for developers, it was proving to be costly. So I tried looking for no code software creator apps and I stumbled upon Knack. It kept my costly low and helped me create a prototype. It also helped me bring a structure to my idea.

 ### 15. Easy to use, extra flexible, universal and reliable database platform - no coding knowledge needed.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mariusz F. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 21, 2020

**What do you like best about Knack?**

The speed one can create quite sophisticated databases including both data structure, input forms and simple reports. It takes just days not months. Clear pricing, not connected with number of users but just with database size. It is extremely easy to extend your database app with new data structures, forms and features.

**What do you dislike about Knack?**

Lack of any kind of development tools and app versioning system. Every modification you do on a live production platform, hence you must be extremely careful and be equipped with app backup if there is a need to step back with changes. Lack of logic functions based on text formulas. Lack of lookup function allowing to temporary connect data from different tables (objects).

**Recommendations to others considering Knack:**

Start your adventure with KNACK with ready to use pre defines templates. Not necessarily to use them in your final app, but to learn the GUI and the way apps are constructed in KNACK. Feel free with prototyping your database while developing a new app - this comes very easy with KNACK. But then, once the app is in production stage be very careful while modifying anything not to loose data. Also avoid creating data structures with too many not necessary calculations and equations as they slows down the app significantly.

**What problems is Knack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I built a custom CRM, stock and orders management system with a very unique set of features. It could be done with common online tools, but customization would cost a lot and takes a lot of time, while at the end you achieve something close to what you needed. With KNACK you can build your database with exact and only features you really need.

 ### 16. Best low-code platform

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alejandro Z. | FOUNDER, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 25, 2020

**What do you like best about Knack?**

Easy to setup the database and interface. Lot's of native options like Address, Email, User Roles fields. Easy to customize with JavaScript and CSS. Great documentation and examples. Friendly staff. It's great that there is an annual conference too.

**What do you dislike about Knack?**

Support can be improved, specially the time to respond to support request. API security is also an area that requires more attention. Also, if the API would allow to change the app structure, like objects and pages, would be greatly beneficial. The speed on which the app loads sometimes goes slow, although it's not too often. If Knack would offer version control, that would help different developers work on the same app at the same time.

**Recommendations to others considering Knack:**

Although it's easy to create the database and interface, a properly built app it's more just about wiring objects and pages. You need to plan your solution. Start by defining the main objective, remove all non-essential stuff, and build a sitemap. Once you are done with these initial phase, do some wireframing, as it's much quicker to change wireframes than the app itself. Once you are happy with your wireframes, you are in good position to built a long lasting app.

**What problems is Knack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We've built hundreds of apps in Knack, either for client or for ourselves at Soluntech. We use it mostly for app that are designed for copy, update, insert or delete. We use it for billing and hours tracking at Soluntech, which is a custom software agency.

 ### 17. Easy to get started, but very powerful

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kevin M. | Owner and lead UXR consultant, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 21, 2020

**What do you like best about Knack?**

Decent interface in the builder, I have about 10 applications running and I can easily get into them and review and make changes. Also really can grow with more complex needs, I've been surprised how as the needs have become more complex Knack can deal with that and scale.

It's very easy to spin something up and start collecting data.

**What do you dislike about Knack?**

Sometimes they make changes that break things! Support is very good, but I have customers who rely on the DB so if there is any downtime it has an impact. Must admit probably over the last 6 months they have got much better at this and uptime issues or service problems have been rare.

I also wish the reporting was a bit more powerful. Better ad-hoc queries, charting and visualisation would be good.

**What problems is Knack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm building complex DBs to collect, manage and report on case management in the social care sector. The tool I build in knack is better featured that many of the existing professional software players in the space and is a tenth of the price.

 ### 18. Comprehensive Custom Solution With minimal coding

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lynsey H. | Director of Innovation & Technology, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 20, 2020

**What do you like best about Knack?**

The ease of creating the user interface is critical. When Users ask for functionality I can create it in seconds sometimes. Other times, it may require custom coding, but I can frequently build a short term work around. Additionally, without any database experience at all I was able to build an incredibly comprehensive and industry leading solution. We have abilities to connect data now that we have never had before and we are able to have new and valuable insights into our clients needs.

**What do you dislike about Knack?**

Sometimes the built in rules or options can leave you wanting for more or different options. The system does not always respond the way you expect it to based on industry standards/past practices. They are improving every day though.
Unfortunately, they are still understaffed and support suffers as a result. None of these issues have caused me to look elsewhere in the four years that I have been working with Knack,

**Recommendations to others considering Knack:**

Make sure you take the time to gather requirements from all stakeholders before you begin building your app. Otherwise, you may find yourself building it multiple times. Use the templates to find functionality that you need and adapt it to your particular use case.

**What problems is Knack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have built a comprehensive backbone to the company using Knack. It includes everything from Customer resource management to document management to contact management, project management, Laboratory information system, Inventory. We create documents from templates and are saving ten of thousands of dollars per year in manpower. There is literally no piece of the company that is not using Knack for one reason or another.

 ### 19. Powerful Web Database Builder

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bobby G. | Marketing Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 25, 2020

**What do you like best about Knack?**

I've tried several web app database builders and Knack is by far the most powerful. Without any coding, we've built several apps that our team uses at our business, including an complex internal recipe and order management app, and an internal/external hiring app. These apps have withstood the test of time over several years of use. One great thing about Knack is that each of your app's users is counted simply as a record; you're not charged per user. So cost is never an issue when deciding whether employees receive accounts for our apps.

**What do you dislike about Knack?**

I think the next phase of Knack should include more features for notifications (especially for mobile) and pushing live data updates to user's pages without needing a refresh. Since they've already covered so may use cases for desktop and basic mobile webpages, these would open up possibilities for new types of tablet and mobile apps that users may want to create.

**What problems is Knack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Knack for problems and data sets that are too complex for a Google Sheet, and/or require a variety of user permission levels. And the fact that Knack is entirely cloud-based allows our apps to be easily used by team members in various locations or at home. For instance, it allows us to have one recipe database across our company, and it allows wholesale orders to be entered by the sales manager for production staff to see without a million emails back and forth.

 ### 20. Simple and easy

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Construction | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 23, 2020

**What do you like best about Knack?**

It gives me the flexibility to modify and make changes on the fly. I can build all sorts of apps to work with our business.

**What do you dislike about Knack?**

I think the graphics could be better on the front end. If you want to highlight a row based on one value, you have to select each column and set it up that way.
Linking the objects is a little confusing. I would like to be able to select what fields I want to match in order to link a table but I guess it is not designed to do that.

**Recommendations to others considering Knack:**

If you are tracking stuff in excel and need something beyond that, KNACK is what you need.

**What problems is Knack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have built an IT help desk site for managing tickets, new hires, and IT services. I have built an app for our sales admin teams to manage incoming orders for equipment.
Based on what we are currently paying for we have definitely saved a lot of money compared to putting in our own server and doing our own development or finding another service.

 ### 21. Excellent platform for multi-user online database

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Noel D. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2020

**What do you like best about Knack?**

No code. Great builder. Excellent documentation. Great support . Ability to customise with css/js if you like. Multi users with different views and permissions. Excellent reporting and dash boarding tools

**What do you dislike about Knack?**

Needs better gui dev tools, video examples and live data import .

**Recommendations to others considering Knack:**

I love what I have been able to do with knack. Custom development can be very expensive and can take a long time. Knack allowed us be up and running quickly and iterate as we needed new functionality

**What problems is Knack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Data collection and sharing for global group. Desktop and mobile access. Custom development so focused on needs no need for lengthy setup and training for users.

 ### 22. Powerful Database Builder that is Fun to Use

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Eric G. | Director of E-Commerce, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 12, 2016

**What do you like best about Knack?**

Some tools are so intuitive and ripe with potential that they are actually a delight to use. This is one such tool. In addition to being able to create databases quickly, the ability to create apps to manipulate and view records is easy and useful.

The app builder is my favorite feature. There are a lot of useful views to be used (search, forms and tables are my top 3) and I love it when an end-user asks me if it can do XY or Z and I'm able to come back with a solution quickly! The new builder has some incredible improvements that make building and viewing our database easier.

The automated tasks are also proving to be helpful for resetting values after a defined amount of time.

**What do you dislike about Knack?**

I haven't found anything to dislike but I don't feel like we're doing anything with Knack that would push it to its limits.

**Recommendations to others considering Knack:**

We had a great experience with Knack's developer support while building a custom solution. Don't hesitate to reach out to them if you get stuck. Be sure to check out the knowledgebase as well. They appear to do a good job keeping it fresh.

**What problems is Knack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We're using Knack to track transactions on our website and then offer promotions based on the user's order history. We've also built a view that allows our customer service team to look up transaction histories and make adjustments, if needed.

By using Knack as a part of this solution, we've saved time by quickly building the interface for the app with Knack versus rolling our own.

 ### 23. Long and great experience

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michael G. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 26, 2020

**What do you like best about Knack?**

Extreme flexibility and personalization
I can do nearly everything! I have an advanced level in Excel and use WordPress. Knack bridge the gap between Excel and WordPress. Very strong in Data Base design and communication, and very easy to show, consult and edit the data base on a web page.

Very intuitive and elegant interface
This is a critical factor for a no computer programer like me. I needed a very lean and clear, BUT COMPLETE, interface to just start working. Knack provides that. All functionalities are at 1 or 2 clicks. This is very saving time. And the interface is very fast!

All the notification tools are fantastics
Like the personalized emails, rules to automate color coded signalization, etc.

SUPPORT
I nearly forgot. Knack has a huge expert team of technical support. Always friendly and 48hrs responsive with some kind of solution. I really needed it during the development of my App. It helped me A LOT.

Improvments
So much complete and easy, that Knack makes me want to develop more functionalities for users. SOmething I never would have imagined 10 months ago.

**What do you dislike about Knack?**

Missing some functionalities

sweep gesture
Very useful to pass easyly through each detail view in the database. At this time, need each time to go back to the list of the database and click to view the detail.

grafic types
Need more grafic types with more options to show data points (% or value).

search on objects
This is a bizarre one. The search view does no include the search on some objects. Possible to find a way around but it is something that should be fixed.

ecommerce module
If you do not start your App with the ecommerce template, then you have start from scratch and it is laborious. I would have hoped a module would have been easyly activated and integrated.

Integrate template in App
Knack offers many prebuild templates like ecommerce, catalogue, class management, etc. But you have to choose first the template and then start building ON it.
Would be a great idea to be able to INTEGRATE the template to an App already built. Would help, complet and accelerate A LOT the App development time.

**Recommendations to others considering Knack:**

Knack is best if you're App is using a lot of databases. This is the strength of Knack.

 ### 24. Knack has allowed our organization to quickly build and deploy apps for a low cost.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 20, 2020

**What do you like best about Knack?**

It is easy enough for someone with basic technical skills to pick up and learn fairly quickly. Once you have the basic grasp of how to build the database and app, it is easy to create and deploy secure apps for multiple different scenarios. For example, we were able to launch an app quickly to help collect data on our Covid-19 initiative in a matter of weeks, with minimal effort. Knack does all the heavy lifting in terms of security and back end support. All you need to worry about is how to build your app you need to solve your problem.

**What do you dislike about Knack?**

At times, it can be a bit unforgiving if you make mistakes and build relationships the wrong way for example. You have to learn that the hard way at times, but knack is improving at explaining best practices. While there isn't any version control per se either, the product does the job well it needs to do.

**What problems is Knack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are solving the problem of deploying secure apps for pilot projects in our organization that need quick turnarounds with small budgets. We are able to do this with Knack.

 ### 25. I couldn’t do it without Knack

**Reviewed Date:** July 23, 2020

**What do you like best about Knack?**

It’s so flexible, from the simpler stuff to getting bespoke code made specifically for my industry. Knack is a great fit for a variety of different business challenges

**What do you dislike about Knack?**

A big piece of my operations are in Europe so time zones are sometimes difficult to work do. It’s a minor issue.

**What problems is Knack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I built several apps, one with over 50 tables and lots of information. Whilst the app has lots of complexity with Knack I can break that down to make quick changes when needed. Speed of development is important. My team loves that we can get things done quickly for them.

 ### 26. Great Platform

**What do you like best about Knack?**

Knack allows you to rapidly develop and deploy fully functioning web applications. It's a great tool and can be as simple or as complex as you need. The native functionality is powerful and if needed can be expanded through custom code.

**What do you dislike about Knack?**

The native UI of Knack is a bit bland. It is simple and effective but isn't as pretty as it could be. However, with custom JS and CSS it can be modified to be more modern.

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

Knack reminds me of Squarespace for database builders. It makes building large and fast databases easy - even for novices like me!

**What do you dislike about Knack?**

International support would be good. It doesn’t deal well with diacritical marks.

**Recommendations to others considering Knack:**

Brilliant base for your product and allows you to start building quickly. However be prepared that you still need to develop your own code to get professional quality functionality and design.

**What problems is Knack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

 ### 35. Manage and store customer data

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mary B. | Marketing Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 19, 2018

**What do you like best about Knack?**

Knack has been very easy to use, edit, and customize. Everyone on our team uses Knack to log information and prepare our products best for our customers. After having been trained on it, Knack is very easy to log, compare, and apply filters for data-analysis of our products and our customers.

**What do you dislike about Knack?**

For our team, Knack is what we use to interface with customers and each has their own portals set up through Knack. While it is easy to have our information and their portals coincide for logistic purposes, it is not the most attractive site to use, and can be more difficult for our users to navigate.

**Recommendations to others considering Knack:**

Really great to start with - definitely important and helpful to work closely with Knack representatives for the customizable building aspects.

**What problems is Knack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Benefits are that it is easy to set up and implement and has served our fast-growing organization really well. It provides an easy and manageable way to share everything with students and control the product-matching logistics.

**What do you like best about Knack?**

My work as a programmer is often complicated, luckily I decided to try knack and the program has never left me bad, I easily create and improve databases and thanks to its good tools convert spreadsheets to databases that are in Line is always quite easy and fast, I like this program a lot because I can have great customization and use js controllers to improve my experience and work with the program, under the command of knack the application of filters and data logging is done without problems and with fairly modern methods

**What do you dislike about Knack?**

A program must be fast and effective and knack has these characteristics so there is little I would like to change, its price is somewhat high and the general view of the program could be more modern and have more visible tools that are easier to navigate to improve user experience, especially at the time of deployment and start using the program in the offices.

**Recommendations to others considering Knack:**

Some experience is required to use a program like this, however, it has a free trial to start and know its functions, the provider is quite cordial and has a complete help team to provide the customer with a fast service and improve practice In a very short time, I recommend the program and its seller as they are quite friendly and willing to help the customer at all times

**What problems is Knack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This program has a lot of power and I like this, its platform allows me to connect and enter all my devices and the filters and methods for records and data modification are very accurate which helps me to have a much faster job than I had With older methods, I have quite a few advantages using the program.

**What do you dislike about Knack?**

It is important to know each program before using it and know what its limits and failures are, in this case knack has good power and does not give me problems or failures, as a user I am happy to have it, if there are any changes that I would like to make in your panel main buttons are needed to execute more direct orders, it is a very simple panel that if it could be adjusted and customized, each user would be guaranteed a more comfortable work with a platform that fits their tastes and requirements
