Time tracking is what we rely on Klient for most, and it is where it has made the clearest difference in our organization. Before Klient, I was the one building an Excel time report every month, pulling hours out of a few different sources and stitching them together by hand. Now every consultant logs their hours against a specific task in one place, and all of it is reportable in Salesforce using the report builder our team already knows. We can now easily track utilization by consultant and watch a project's burn against its hours target. It also means we have real historical hours to scope new work against rather than estimating based on our gut feeling, which is a huge win for a consulting start-up. I don't have significant complaints. My own use is focused on time tracking and reporting, so there are parts of the product we have not adopted, so I can't speak to those. The thing most worth flagging for other buyers is that the value you get depends on the Salesforce skills you have in-house. Although Klient comes pre-configured with just about everything you need for proper project and resource management, we extended the standard Project setup with custom fields so it reflected how our engagements are actually structured. This was easy for us because we are a Salesforce consultancy, but a team without that would want to budget real time toward the learning curve and any future customizations. Thank you so much, Lauryn! Going from stitching that Excel report together by hand to having it all in the report builder is a big shift, and I'm glad it's paid off. Here's to Jumpr's next fifteen consultants! π
