"The ultimate model-agnostic AI coding toolset, backed by an incredibly responsive support team"
5/5
What do you like best about Kilo Code?

The open-source nature of their product and speed of innovation.

Also, the BYOK feature is a massive cost-saver for us. It allows us to swap in our own subscriptions and experiment with different open-weight models depending on the project (whilst given us more control over where and to whom data flows), which keeps our inference costs low.

Finally, their automated code review service has become a core part of our workflow. It’s highly token-efficient, utilising proper token caching. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Kilo Code?

The only real drawback is their web-based documentation. It definitely needs some work and can be quite hard to navigate and search effectively when you're looking for a specific configuration detail. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A Powerful AI Coding Assistant for Full-Stack Developers"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Kilo Code?

Kilocode has significantly improved my development workflow as a full-stack developer. The AI-powered code suggestions are accurate and context-aware, especially when working across multiple languages like C#, TypeScript, and Dart. It integrates seamlessly into VS Code and handles complex codebases with ease. The codebase indexing feature is particularly valuable for navigating large projects quickly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Kilo Code?

The initial setup and configuration can be a bit complex for new users. Occasionally, the AI suggestions can be slightly off-context when switching between very different frameworks in the same session. Better multi-model support configuration directly from the UI would also be appreciated. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A True Coding Partner That Boosts Productivity"
5/5
What do you like best about Kilo Code?

What I like most about Kilo Code is that it feels genuinely useful in day-to-day coding. It integrates well into my workflow, understands context pretty well, and actually helps me move faster instead of adding extra steps. It feels more like a helpful coding partner than just another AI tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Kilo Code?

What I dislike about Kilo Code is that it can occasionally slow things down when it misunderstands what I’m trying to do. You sometimes have to rephrase instructions or guide it step by step, which breaks the flow a bit. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

GitHub Copilot is powered by a combination of large language models (LLMs), including a customized version of OpenAI’s GPT that translates natural language to code and additional models from Microsoft and GitHub to further hone and improve upon results. Available as an extension for Visual Studio Code, Visual Studio, Neovim, and the JetBrains suite of integrated development environments (IDEs), GitHub Copilot works alongside developers in their preferred editor, where they can either type as they go or write comments to get coding suggestions. As a result, developers spend less time creating boilerplate and repetitive code patterns, and more time on what matters: building great software. GitHub Copilot was developed with security, privacy, and responsibility in mind. GitHub Copilot for Business never retains customer code from prompts or suggestions. Only users who are on an individual license and choose to opt-in will be retained. Additionally, users can enable a mechanism that blocks suggestions that match public code, even if the likelihood of matches is low.
