Recommendations to others considering Kamatera:
There may be other providers like Kamatera, but Kamatera came highly recommended from other colleagues, and when I tried it, I realized it was truly a good thing. If you try another Windows VPS hosting service and you're at all unhappy with it, jump to Kamatera. If you're not experienced with Windows VPS like I was, try Kamatera first, it should set the gold standard for what you should expect. If you want to try something else after you've tried Kamatera, go ahead, but you'll probably come back to it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What problems is Kamatera solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sometimes users lose their laptops, and often the end users have to trade laptops among one another, and it gets confusing as to who is doing what. With Kamatera, it simplifies all that. In fact, I would say it takes the organization from a "company supplied laptop" situation to more of a "BYOD" (bring your own device) situation where it doesn't really matter what they use, as long as they have *something*. Users can get a instance of a Kamatera machine, keep all their company emails and docs there, and use it from any device, and do presentations to a larger monitor (or screencast from a mobile device). With a little imagination, there's a lot of things you can free up and make use of. Because kamatera is all remote, it means less tech support for application installation on the end user devices. If someone gets a new laptop, it doesn't mean anything, except setup the RDP link to the Kamatera box. If a Kamatera instance isn't powerful enough to run a certain app quickly, just pay the difference and bump the speed/ram of the Kamatera instance up. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
