**What do you like best about ScalaHosting?**

Quick support - whatever problem we've encountered, their helpful staff always gave some hints how to fix it by ourselves or they did that in our behalf. We feel free to experiment with the configurations as we know that there always is someone to nudge us in the right direction.
No major issues - frankly, I am not sure when we've experienced any major non-user related issue ;) Service stable and with no big hiccups :)

**What do you dislike about ScalaHosting?**

Honestly? I am not sure if there are any cons for using ScalaHosting! Minor difficulties or problems were solved quickly so there's nothing to really complain about.

**What problems is ScalaHosting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easy to configure dozens of demo-pages for our customers or even stand-alone accounts for them to use. We don't have to worry about searching and/or configuring the servers from the scratch.

**What do you like best about ScalaHosting?**

To my previous opinion, I can add that I have been using their services for almost 6 years now and have had no problems at all. I like that they continue to improve their SPanel - it is much better and more functional than before. Everything can be done with just a few clicks.

**What do you dislike about ScalaHosting?**

There still isn’t anything particularly bad, except for the renewal price, which is several times higher than the initial one. There are also price increases with subsequent renewals, something like indexation.

**What problems is ScalaHosting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mail delivery and web security issues have been solved by them with great passion.

I am a new customer, moving my website from another host. I did extensive research and must say, in every category, ScalaHosting.com came out on top. I even test other sites using ScalaHosting.com Before signing up with them, I used their customer service and found it excellent. I was chatting with a real person, who answered by questions well.

**What do you dislike about ScalaHosting?**

Nothing yet, time will tell. I would say, it was difficult to find them; reviews are not easily available on the internet. I had not yet been using G2, so did not know about them. Now I am using G2 and am happy to be here, trust!

**What problems is ScalaHosting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I had been using a major web hosting service for over ten years. They were bought by a much larger company. Service declined greatly and become impossible, a common problem as hosting companies are being bought by private equity, etc. Scale is a privately owned company that is a manageble size and has the best customer service I have found. Real people who are very informed, competent and nice. Certainly like this!! Also, Scala seems to have much better speed in how webpages appear. I am not an expert, but do like this.

**What do you like best about ScalaHosting?**

SUPPORT. Issues will arise with any host but I've found that Scala respond faster than most. Tickets are usually acknowledged within minutes and I've never waited more than an hour or so for an actual resolution. No-one who manages client sites needs to be told how critical this can be.

VALUE. I paid less than $220 for three years hosting. Admittedly this was a special deal and it will renew at $502 but this is incredible value for money.

JOOMLA KNOWLEDGE. I build exclusively with Joomla CMS. The Scala team are experienced with Joomla and it shows.

**What do you dislike about ScalaHosting?**

Not really a dislike but I found that the Scala control panel took a little getting used to. All the services are there but after fifteen years with another host I had to het used to a new layout and menu structure. Not a big deal.

**What problems is ScalaHosting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Occasionally an update to the Joomla core may create an issue with the server configuration. As an example, a network in one of the filters or an incorrect path to the config file. In both cases Scala resolved the issue within the hour. Special mentions go to Jordan H, Tray R and Vlad G.

They have the best support team of any company I have worked with in IT. I have had horrible experiences with most web hosting companies I have dealt with. Not so with Scalahosting. I was hesitant with it being email only.. Figuring my request would end up in some queue somewhere and never taken care of.. Not so.. They respond nearly immediately, and is meaningful.. This was my primary reason for choosing them to start my web hosting reseller and design business.. Every interaction is professional, prompt, gets to the root problem. They have been tremendously patient with my many questions. And on top of that, their features are meaningful and truly what is needed.. It isn't easy starting a reseller business.. But they have made it as easy as it can be, all things considered.

The combination of reliable performance with excellent customer support. Also I find  the price is more affordable then many competitors. 

The server runs smoothly and has noticeably improved site speed. Migration to a new server was straightforward,  and my apps was integrated without much hassle. the support team have been really helpful with permissions and  SSL certificate renewals, when auto renewal failed. .

 I really like the control panel, which is basically a stripped down cleaner version of Cpanel. It's easy to manage for frequent use, even without deep technical knowledge, which makes day‑to‑day management simple and efficient.

**What do you dislike about ScalaHosting?**

I can't fault much, but the Knowledge base is a bit lacking, as I like to try and fix things myself. Having said that its not really as the support team is excellent, but more tutorials would reduce reliance on them for routine tasks.

**What problems is ScalaHosting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The cost is now lower than my previous providers, which means I now benefit from reliable performance and expert help without overspending. This combination of strong support and reduced expense has made hosting far more efficient and sustainable for my business

  ### 9. About Time someone came up with a decent price point and support for a VPS System

**What do you like best about ScalaHosting?**

I am brand new to the company. Both prior to and right after purchase of their services, they have been very responsive and helpful. I asked a lot of questions prior to purchase as I have several websites I needed to move. They were patient and answered all the questions and follow on questions. Provided me with the links I needed and never let me sit there hanging for 10 mins waiting for an answer. They seem to know their product very well. All 4 techs I have dealt with have had the same baseline knowledge of their product services. Even asking obsure questions did not take long to get an answer. Once I purchased the product their support and demeanor never got worse. If anything it got better. The opening prices are great but even better their regular pricing is better than Dreamhost who I am leaving for Scalahosting.
The interface is fairly straight forward once you figure out the different interfaces.

**What do you dislike about ScalaHosting?**

I was not prepared to pay $16.95 per domain to transfer the domains to Scalahosting. I have 7 domains I am transferring and will now have to wait to transfer a couple domains due to this price. I understand that it also extends the domain registration for 1 additional year however that information should be up front prior to purchase. I did not see it anywhere and I failed to ask about this. I kinda assumed that transferring in the domains would not cost. Gives the feel of nickel and dime tactics. But I have not run into anything like this feeling so I can deal with one time.

**What problems is ScalaHosting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They have a better pricing point than Dreamhost especially when it comes to the amount of resources per pricing point. Like the amount of RAM and the number of vcores. The hard drive space is similar but the price to increase the amount of hard drive space is much much less expensive than dreamhost. 
The Scalahosting cloud platform seems to be a better fit for me as I can increase individual parts of the resources needed without having to purchase the next up major product like at Dreamhost.

I like that ScalaHosting’s Advanced Shared Hosting gives me fast, stable performance even though it’s shared hosting. The security.  I have a website being hosted on a dedicated server that is political and there are thousands trying to hack into it on a regular basis.  I used another hosting service for years, but could not rely on their people to respond in a timely manner to problems and eventually we were hacked.  When I switched to ScalaHosting 4 years ago, all of those issues stopped immediately.  I mean, they're still trying to hack, but always failing thanks in large part to ScalaHosting.

Nothing.  At first I was a little concerned about using their customized SPanel, rather than the CPanel we were accustomed to, but the SPanel turned out to be very easy to work with.  We have literally not had one problem with ScalaHosting since starting with them over 4 years ago.

ScalaHosting has a fantastic team of support workers that jump on your trouble tickets immediately and resolve them.  They are very intelligent and polite.  My admin is the one who deals with them, but she has been really happy with their response time.  It benefits me because I don't need a headache with a server I'm paying good money to host on.  I could get hosting cheaper elsewhere, but it would not be worth the trouble we've gone through with other service providers.

What I like most is that the VPS setup is straightforward even if you are not a sysadmin, and the performance is stable for both sites. Their support is fast and helpful whenever I have questions about configuration, and it’s easy to scale resources or add another server as my projects grow.

Overall I am very satisfied, but there are a couple of things that could be better. The main issue for me was with Softaculous when I wanted to install the latest Moodle 5.x. The updates for Moodle were delayed and the installation process was not very smooth in the beginning, so I had to spend extra time to make it work properly. Once everything was configured, the server runs fine, but the initial setup could definitely be easier and faster. Also, the entry-level backup option includes only one backup, so if you manage multiple projects you quickly need to pay for more.

It’s light on resources like aaPanel, but it comes pre-configured with everything I actually need (backups, security, and a WordPress manager) without me having to tinker with the server via command line.

I also value the fast, reliable support and the 99%+ uptime I consistently get at a very fair price.

I’m not satisfied with the high renewal prices, which are significantly higher than the initial cost. It’s also inconvenient that there are no 24-month plans—you’re forced to choose either 12 or 36 months, which feels unusual and limiting.

Support tickets can also be a bit complicated. Although the team is very fast, sometimes it feels like the focus is on closing the ticket quickly rather than diving deeply into the issue. Tickets often get passed between multiple support agents, and I end up repeating the same steps several times until the problem is fully resolved.

Another concern is that support sometimes asks for login credentials to important platforms directly inside the ticket. There doesn’t seem to be a secure credential-sharing method, which makes me uncomfortable knowing that sensitive passwords may be visible to multiple agents and stored in their system.

Having a VPS makes us as non-technical people over 60 feel much safer in that we have an exclusive IP address and are less likely to be classed as spammers or otherwise untrustworthy because of the actions of others sharing our IP address. As non-technical people we opted for managed hosting and have found Scala's support to be absolutely brilliant. Even the most stupid questions are answered politely and quickly, 24/7. Scala's Spanel control panel makes all tasks easy to use and to implement.

**What do you dislike about ScalaHosting?**

There is nothing about our hosting package to dislike, apart perhaps for the price. Although this is reasonable for the features included and the level of service, it is a big hit on our limited budget as a charity.

Our hosting package ives us a secure platform for our basic website and corporate email and the support means that our very limited knowledge is not a handicap. SPanel helps me enormously with routine maintenance such as adding users and email forwarding.

Scala offers the best tech support I've been able to find for a hosting provider. When I was vetting this provider, I asked several technical questions to suss out their engineering config for various types of hosting accounts. When level 1 tech support was unable to answer one of my questions, they immediately kicked me up to level 2 and I got my question answered on the spot.

Typically, you have to wait days (and sometimes weeks) to get level 2 tech support from hosting providers. This impressed me.

Scala has provided very "hands on" support as I was ramping up my systems IQ. Also, they don't overprovision their servers like GoDaddy and so website performance is much better, even on shared hosting accounts.

**What do you dislike about ScalaHosting?**

A few times during a tech support chat, I didn’t ask the right questions, which ended up with us solving the wrong problem. In other cases, they provided only a partial answer and I had to figure out the rest on my own. That said, most of the time they’re on point and get me where I need to go quickly and professionally.

Scala provides better technical support than any hosting provider I've ever worked with and that means I don't spin as many cycles debugging client website issues. They save me a huge amount of time.

Switching over from GoDaddy really showed me the difference between top-tier web hosting and hosting that feels underwhelming. Super huge upgrade. I’m glad I decided to take my online presence more seriously, look closely at the finances I was putting into it, and finally do the research needed to make a change. Shoutout to Emit.Reviews for being the main influence that helped me make that decision. I’m genuinely very happy I made the switch.

I’m still a new customer and learning my way around the services, but so far I’m really enjoying SPanel. I use it several times a week while actively building and configuring my WordPress site, logging in frequently to manage files, emails, and site settings. While there is a learning curve for beginners, the platform provides the essential tools needed to get a site live efficiently, and the support team helps bridge any gaps.

SPanel offers a lot of control, which can feel overwhelming at first, but after a short adjustment period it becomes easy to navigate. ScalaHosting becomes fairly intuitive once you spend time with it, and it integrates well with WordPress, Astra, Elementor, and my domain registrar. The initial implementation and setup process was manageable even as a new user.

Overall, it strikes a strong balance between flexibility and usability. The services feel fairly priced, the promotional discounts have been a nice bonus, and customer service has been speedy and excellent. It truly feels like the right place for my websites for the long haul.

**What do you dislike about ScalaHosting?**

This may be subject to change if I find a solution, and I’m still learning how to navigate everything, but I don’t like that turning on the Security Lock in SPanel basically disables my WordPress admin account and my website. I reached out to support about it, and they said it could be the theme, or that I’m making edits and the Security Lock feature can’t distinguish between legitimate changes and malicious activity.

I’ve tried several themes and I’m currently using Astra, which seems to be the best and most compatible with ScalaHosting. I also make sure I’m completely done with edits before turning Security Lock on, but the issue still persists. At this stage, the only workaround I’ve found is disabling Security Lock permanently. I don’t like having to do that, because it makes my site feel less secure.

**What problems is ScalaHosting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ScalaHosting solves the problem of unreliable, overpriced, and underwhelming hosting that doesn’t support serious, long-term growth. After switching from GoDaddy, I quickly realized how much better my website performs when the hosting is actually optimized for WordPress instead of constantly pushing upsells and add-ons.

ScalaHosting has benefited me by giving me more control, better performance, and real transparency through SPanel, along with pricing that actually makes sense for someone trying to build a serious online presence. Customer support has also been responsive and helpful while I’m still learning, which made the transition far less stressful which is unlike my experience with GoDaddy, where I was sometimes paired with reps who felt either predatory or incompetent.

Overall, ScalaHosting makes it feel possible to grow my site with confidence, without feeling locked into bloated, confusing services.

I really like the professionalism and response time of ScalaHosting when a problem arises. Their ability to centralize the management of our entire site environment and provide quality technical support is invaluable to us. They have always given a prompt response to our concerns and provide great attention when we face a technical problem, which gives us confidence and peace of mind.

**What do you dislike about ScalaHosting?**

The increase in their costs has been a factor to consider, since, although they explain that it is a cost passed on by their own suppliers, it affects decision-making. Additionally, the allocated storage sometimes proves insufficient, which requires growth alternatives at an affordable cost.

**What problems is ScalaHosting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Centralize the administration of our sites and provide quality technical support, which gives us confidence and peace of mind.

**What do you like best about ScalaHosting?**

We began working with Scala Hosting nearly a decade ago after experiencing declining service with providers acquired by a large conglomerate. Our priorities were clear: reliable VPS hosting with excellent uptime, servers based in the U.S., and responsive support with effective solutions. Scala delivered on all counts. After giving them a try, we eventually migrated all our client accounts to their platform and have continued adding new ones with confidence. Their consistent performance and outstanding service have been instrumental in helping us grow. I highly recommend Scala Hosting to anyone seeking a dependable and scalable hosting partner.

**What do you dislike about ScalaHosting?**

There isn't anything that I dislike. Differences between their sPanel and traditional cPanel took a little time to adapt to but it wasn't too hard.

**What problems is ScalaHosting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am a basic server user, so I rely on Scala to provide answers to what would be simple to them.  I imagine tech support has to grit their teeth, but they always answer with patience and professionalism in explaining what needs done, which I appreciate greatly!
