It is time saving to track all CRA activities in one platform and not in spreadsheets. Their customer support is top notch, and I have not found another vendor with the same customer support level as Kadince. I love how they are constantly evolving to become a one-stop shop for CRA, HMDA, Fair Lending, and eventually 1071. The import and update features have saved me time in getting records into Kadince and helps me manage CRA activities, since I am a one person CRA shop. **What do you dislike about Kadince?** I have not found anything that I dislike about Kadince. **What problems is Kadince solving and how is that benefiting you?** Kadince solved the problem of storing all CRA activities and the source documents to support those activities. Exam time is where this is most beneficial. I especially appreciate how simple it is to enter donations and volunteer hours, review volunteer activities for CRA eligibility, and keep organized records all in one place. The reporting functionality is particularly helpful as well, since it lets us export data for analysis and monitor whether donations and volunteerism are happening within our assessment areas. Overall, the platform streamlines our tracking process and supports our CRA program’s reporting needs. I’m also looking forward to the upgrades and enhancements planned for this summer and am eager to see how they further improve the user experience. **What do you dislike about Kadince?** At times, certain functionality requires extra customization and close collaboration between our IT team and Kadince’s technical team, rather than being available immediately as an out-of-the-box feature. What was being talked about on screen my dashboard couldn't do. I reached out in the chat to let moderator know. I get an email the next day from Kadince seeing how they can help me. We worked together to resolve the dashboard and I had some follow-up questions. The ticket stayed open and prompt reply with screenshot and videos were provided until. I had asked all my questions and everything was resolved. **What do you dislike about Kadince?** It would be nice to be able to put something here, but I cannot fault the product or service that I have received for the past 8 to 10 years from Kadince. **What problems is Kadince solving and how is that benefiting you?** My Bank uses the Community module and the Marketing module. The Community module is a quick, easy way for volunteer hours to be entered through a link on the Bank’s intranet page. Entries can be grouped quickly as not CD eligible, and you can add plenty of details and supporting documents to build a complete digital file. Donations can be submitted by the requester through the Bank’s website, and they are again quick and easy to access and review. Loans for Small Business and Community Development are entered along with the related data and documents. When the Examiners come in for review, we can provide them limited access with viewing rights to the entries and documents. The addition of the Marketing module has been wonderful. All advertising materials are popped right into Kadince for review, approval, and of course feedback and comments. Everything is at the examiners finger tips and no more binders! ### 4. The best thing about Kadince, though, is the customer service. They make you feel like you’re the only customer they have. Their response time is phenomenal, and they take the time to make sure your questions have been answered and that you don’t have any additional issues. **What do you dislike about Kadince?** Kadince is a software program that has the ability to manipulate in many different ways. The only thing that I dislike about Kadince is my inability to always use the software to the best of its ability. **What problems is Kadince solving and how is that benefiting you?** Our Fi is using the software to manage all areas of CRA, including donations, service hours, investments and loans. We have implemented the ability, with a link from Kadince, for our employees to enter their own service hours. Then the workflow allows the Compliance Dept as well as the HR and Marketing dept. to monitor these hours. The hours were being input manually by Compliance before this. It has also allowed us to implement an ETO program where employees get ETO days for their service hours. This would not be easy without Kadince. We have also implemented a way for non-profits to request donations via our webiste with the help of a link from Kadince. Again, this was a manual process before. We can also import loans, investments and other data points to manipulate for audits and exams. ### 5. From the start, it supports onboarding with clear training guides that explain how to use the software overall and within each module. In the Community Module, managing and documenting Service Activities, Donations, Investments, and Loans is more efficient because everything is kept in one centralized location. For example, you can maintain all the work you do with non-profit partners under the organization's profile, along with documents pertaining to that work, instead of relying on multiple spreadsheets and folders. Keeping all work for a single organization together and using visual dashboards helps you see the whole picture rather than isolated components. It also adds ease and efficiency during examination time, when you can provide a log-in to examiners and create and examiner only viewing experience where they can access all of the information instead of having to send bulky files and emails back and forth. Plus, the spreadsheets you create, can be customized to the preference of the examiners! The ability to create and refine spreadsheets for data analysis and scrubbing frees teams to act on results instead of spending time preparing data. Additionally, being able to create and map your assessment areas is helpful not only to provide a clear visual impact and highlights where we can improve, but you can get FFIEC data within Kadince to help create more detailed maps based on the census tracts. Customer support is consistently impressive: the team listens to customers, helps turn ideas into reality, and implements features when feasible. Whenever the software is updated or new features are added, Kadince’s support team offers hands-on webinars and guides, so users are never left behind. The platform’s AI tools are also valuable, helping ensure our work and performance narratives align with regulations and improving how we demonstrate our efforts to examiners. Having Kadince saves on time and effort with data so that there is more time to focus on the impact we are trying to have in our communities, which in itself is a great ROI, you cannot beat the price of having a more efficient teach. **What do you dislike about Kadince?** There’s very little to dislike about Kadince, but a few things could be improved. For example, the AI can be inconsistent and occasionally time out; however, it’s a newer feature and has improved significantly since the first release. Another area for improvement is providing more built-in examples and templates, such as workflows, dashboard layouts, and use-case guides. I often learn tips from other users, so having sample workflows and dashboards would make it easier to evaluate whether Kadince fits our needs. In those cases, the system reports the transaction with a $0 balance, which forces staff to manually review each record, determine the correct assessment areas, and then recalculate the allocations. A solution that preserves the original donation amount and automatically distributes it across the relevant assessment areas for reporting would greatly reduce manual effort, improve reporting accuracy, and save substantial staff time, while better supporting our monthly Board reporting and quarterly market reporting requirements. ### 13. The task workflows and notifications make it easier to ensure nothing gets missed and that I’m consistently meeting deadlines. Being able to pull reports on approved ads for auditors has saved me hours. The data collection on the donations side is also extremely helpful. Creating reports to compare what we've given to different organizations over the years, throughout our footprint, helps us ensure we are giving our donations equitably and in a way that makes sense for our bank. **What do you dislike about Kadince?** The software can do a lot, and it can feel tricky to learn how to create new forms or reports. However, the new AI assistant as well as Kadince staff are quick to help. The Community module is new for us as of 2023, though. Donation requests no longer come in a variety of formats—phone calls, flyers, letters, forms, and so on. Having a consistent online donation application, along with the data it collects, has made decision-making much easier. It also helps us be more intentional about the donations we make. ### 14.
