What I like most about Jotform AI Agents is how easy it makes automation without needing a technical background. I’ve used a few tools before, but this one actually feels intuitive. Setting up an AI agent to handle form responses or guide users doesn’t take much time, and the interface is clean enough that you don’t feel overwhelmed.

What really stands out is how it improves workflow. Instead of manually sorting responses or replying to common queries, the AI handles a big chunk of that automatically. It saves me hours every week, especially when dealing with repetitive tasks. The integrations are also pretty smooth, so connecting it with other tools I use wasn’t a headache.

Another thing I didn’t expect was how customizable it is. You can tweak responses and behavior to match your use case, which makes it feel less “generic AI” and more tailored. Overall, it’s a solid tool if you want to streamline processes without spending too much time learning something complex.

I really enjoy using Jotform AI Agents because they support the Hindi language, which helps us connect with more users. I find the training process to be easy, allowing my team to set up the agents quickly. The beautiful platform UI and UX enhance my experience, and the integration process is smooth, letting me manage website, WhatsApp, and Instagram from one place seamlessly. I appreciate that the same agent can integrate with multiple channels, which is very effective and easy to use. Switching from Tidio to Jotform AI Agents resulted in faster response times, better lead collection, and improved customer engagement. The initial setup was smooth and easy, better than other options I've tried.

I think they should improve the mobile app. Like when I try to takeover the chat on mobile app, it seems little difficult, it can be improved. The chat takeover option on the mobile app is not very smooth. It takes extra steps to switch from AI to human agent, and sometimes the interface feels slow or confusing. A simpler and faster takeover process would improve the experience. The app login flow must be quick, also need improvement.

The standout feature for me is the seamless integration between the AI Agent and Google Sheets. I’ve connected our entire society database—containing member handicaps, scoring history, and the 'Order of Merit' standings—directly to the agent.

Instead of members scrolling through a massive spreadsheet, they can simply ask the AI: 'What is my current handicap?' or 'Who is leading the Order of Merit?' and the agent pulls the exact data point from the Google Sheet instantly. It has turned a static data source into an interactive concierge that provides personalized info to my golfers 24/7. It’s the perfect blend of simple data management and cutting-edge user experience.

For a volunteer-run Golf Society, the ROI is measured in saved time. While the mid-tier plans can seem like a jump in cost, the value of having an all-in-one 'App' that handles registrations, buggy bookings, and a live AI agent is immense. It replaces the need for separate membership software, a website host, and a manual secretary. The 'killer feature' for us is connecting our Google Sheets database directly to the AI Agent. Instead of members hunting through spreadsheets for their current handicap or 'Order of Merit' standings, they simply ask the AI agent within the app. The agent retrieves their specific scoring data in real-time. It has turned a static spreadsheet into a 24/7 digital clubhouse secretary, making our society look incredibly professional while saving me hours of manual responses."

"While the AI is powerful, it requires immaculate data hygiene. If my Google Sheet has inconsistent formatting or merged cells, the AI can occasionally pull the wrong row or get 'confused' about which handicap belongs to which player. I had to spend some time 'cleaning' my data structure to ensure 100% accuracy. Additionally, the AI Agent's Q&A editor can be a bit rigid; it doesn't currently allow for easy copying and pasting of answers, which makes the initial setup for repetitive FAQ logic a bit more time-consuming than it should be."

Setup is intuitive and incredibly easy compared to most other AI chatbots. My clients could do it themselves, but I won't tell them that! The process is straightforward, and you can get a functional AI agent running fast without any technical hassle.

**What do you dislike about Jotform AI Agents?**

For AI-assisted appointment requests, there's no closing message. For example: "We will review your request and get back to you to confirm your appointment." I understand this is something I can teach the agent, but it seems like closing are something common that it should know how to do already.

The price is so reasonable and the features so good, it's a no-brainer for clients to install this on their websites. It solves the problem of selling it to clients. The benefit is more sales.

With my technical background and after testing other drag-and-drop agent builders, I found the initial setup in Jotform especially seamless. The platform’s straightforward interface lets me quickly spin up a workflow automation or a chatbot/AI agent in minutes, without having to write any code. I also see real value in the 24/7 customer support, along with the ability to complete automated workflows end to end without human interference, which are both significant benefits for me.

The chatbots are awesome and have really helped with our customer service by answering customer questions immediately, which saves us time. I like the ease of use and speed of reply they provide. It's fantastic that it's free up to a point, making it an amazing offering. The initial setup was pretty easy, which was a bonus.

There isn't much I could suggest, from a British point of view, maybe more regional accents would be great, more of a choice of voices as they sound a bit posh!

Very straightforward to use for non-technical executives. High-value solutions that are secure, reliable and available 24/7. Our Customer Support agent lets us know immediately if it cannot answer a question, so that we can resolve the issue ASAP. It's already saved us thousands of dollars in development and staffing costs. Super easy to implement and always accurate. Simply amazing!

The platform has a slight learning curve. I've noticed it improving over time. For instance, there was a shift in background/text colors once, that was a little difficult to resolve directly. It happened again, and the fix was much easier.

We use it for 24/7 Customer Support. We trained it on our website and a finite set of documents and charts. It literally holds the knowledge and experience of our team and our protocols, and communicates them clearly to our customers. What I like most is that it helps me automatically respond to customer questions on my website. I run a small print-on-demand store, and visitors often ask about product customization, shipping timelines, and how to place orders. The AI chat agent can reply instantly through live chat, which saves time and ensures visitors get quick answers even when I’m not immediately available. I also like how easy it is to set up and train the AI agent with information about my products so it can give more relevant responses. The interface is simple and straightforward, which makes it easy to start using without much technical setup.

One improvement I would like to see is a built-in place to store reusable response templates or macros for common replies. It would also be helpful if conversations could be grouped or organized by topic so reviewing chats is easier. Another limitation is that the AI mainly works through website live chat. When customers send questions directly to our support email, it can help create draft replies but cannot automatically respond yet. Expanding automation to email responses would make it even more useful.

**What do you like best about Jotform AI Agents?**

I really like the Jotform AI Agent overall. One of the biggest benefits is that it can answer basic, common questions automatically. In the past, we would receive a lot of repetitive inquiries that a staff member had to triage manually. They would answer what they could and then forward the rest to me. That process took a lot of time and created unnecessary back-and-forth. The AI agent eliminates much of that, which has been a huge time saver.

I also really like how easy it is to build and update the knowledge base. Being able to add questions and answers directly into the training is extremely straightforward, and the generous character limit (up to about 10,000 characters per entry) makes it possible to provide detailed information when needed.

Implementation was also surprisingly simple. I was able to install the agent on our Squarespace website without any coding experience. As a complete novice, I was able to copy and paste the code and get it running without any issues. That ease of setup and integration has been fantastic.

Main Issues with Jotform AI Agents

Overall, I like the tool, but there are several usability issues that make it much more time-consuming than it should be.

1. Cannot Copy or Paste in the Q&A Editor

In the Questions and Answers section, the editor does not allow copying or pasting text.

This creates a major workflow problem. Often, multiple questions share the same answer. Normally I would copy and reuse the response, but the system prevents both copying from the answer field and pasting into it.

For example, I might draft a response in another tool (like ChatGPT) and try to paste it into Jotform. The platform will not allow it. That means I have to manually retype the same answer repeatedly, sometimes five or more times for different questions.

In 2026, not being able to copy and paste text inside a text field is honestly pretty shocking. This should be fixed as soon as possible because it wastes a significant amount of time.

2. No Effective Way to Reset or Clear Chat History

Another issue is that there’s no reliable way to clear the chat history when testing the chatbot.

A common workflow looks like this:

I ask the chatbot a question.

It gives an incorrect or incomplete answer.

I update the knowledge base with the correct information.

I go back to the chat to test it again.

However, when I ask the same question again, the chatbot often responds as if the earlier answer still applies, saying something like “I already answered that question.” It seems to rely on the previous conversation context instead of pulling the updated information from the knowledge base.

This makes it difficult to know whether:

the knowledge base actually updated correctly, or

the chatbot is still relying on old information.

A reset or refresh button for testing would solve this. Ideally something like:

“Reset conversation”

“Reload knowledge base”

or a message that says “Knowledge base updated — allow X minutes for refresh.”

Right now the lag and persistent chat memory make testing extremely frustrating.

3. Limited Control Over the Agent’s Directives and Purpose

The system seems heavily designed for retail use cases (sales, returns, orders, etc.), which makes it harder to configure for other types of organizations.

In my case, I’m using the AI agent for event information and public inquiries, not retail support. Because of that, I had to write custom instructions explaining that the business is not a retail business and that the chatbot should behave differently.

There should be more flexibility in defining the agent’s role and purpose, or templates for different contexts (for example: events, nonprofits, education, etc.).

4. Chat Guidelines Interface Is Too Small and Difficult to Use

The chat guidelines fields are extremely small, allowing only about one visible line of text.

If you write anything longer, the text disappears off the side and becomes difficult to read or edit. That means you can’t easily review what you wrote for your own guidelines.

It would be much more usable if:

the fields were larger multi-line text boxes, or

the interface allowed expanding the field while editing.

Editing and deleting guidelines was also unexpectedly difficult.

5. Inconsistent Greeting Behavior

Even when I specify the greeting in both the chat guidelines and the knowledge base, the chatbot sometimes generates its own greeting.

For example, instead of a simple greeting like:

“Hi! How can I help you?”

It will say something oddly specific like:

“Hi, I'm the AI assistant. Can I help you with the festival dates today?”

That kind of response feels awkward and overly scripted. It would be helpful to have stronger control over the greeting behavior so the chatbot reliably follows the defined instructions.

Another problem the AI agents from Jotform help solve is that people don’t read. I made a handbook that answers 90% of vendor questions, but it’s 10 pages and no one reads it. Having the AI pull answers from it and respond for them is really helpful.

I like that Jotform AI Agents saves me a lot of time. That's the greatest thing for me because I don't want to spend time on monotonous tasks when I can have AI do that for me. Instead of filtering everything myself, which involves calling and taking the time out of my day, the AI does it for me and sends me the leads. This saves me from paying thousands of dollars for leads, as my AI filters through my own marketing efforts. It's valuable because I can focus on following up with prospects that have a higher chance of borrowing money, as the leads are already filtered. I even have a URLA already done, and I can see their credit and situation, so I know what to expect when I get on the call. The initial setup was really simple.

I would say the chats and voice features need some improvement. I was playing around with my agent to see if she knew how to respond and schedule certain things, but there's still development needed. Training them and developing the AI should be a bit more straightforward on the site. I've built out pretty robust knowledge bases and through trial and error, I've gotten to the point where it can respond very well. The setup process is so easy and seamless, which really shined. It's just set up all through the initial prompts, and then I just had to customize the communication flow based on that. It's really well done.

I found it challenging that Jotform AI Agents couldn't handle database access directly. For my work with personalized books, it would be great if it could connect to a database, like SQL or Airtable, to access the raw data of my business. On the support side, the agent does a good job capturing the “why” behind a request (what the customer is stuck on, what they already tried, what they’re actually asking for), which makes triage faster and responses more consistent. After a bit of usage, you start to see patterns in the questions and pain points, and that’s been useful for tightening up our docs and improving the intake workflow.

When I asked an agent who had a list of the forms for the "parent consent form" (and not the Parent/Guardian consent form), it could not give me information on the form. I had to specifically add the wording for "parent consent form" to be used interchangeably with "Parent/Guardian Consent Form." If the reading of documents and providing or understanding context improves, I think that'll make the AI agents perform better.

I like that after uploading a slideshow, Jotform AI Agents does a good job of digesting the information, creating a script, and reading it. It's really easy to edit any areas where the wording should be changed, and it updates instantly. We didn't have to create the script at all, just upload the presentation, specify the tone we wanted, and the system created the whole script itself. This saved us a lot of time since we didn't have to write the script and do the voice work ourselves.

**What do you dislike about Jotform AI Agents?**

It was a bit difficult to start using. I'd click certain things and expect one result, but then not get to what I was looking for. Also, before I created the presentation myself, I asked the system to create a presentation for me just from what I wanted to communicate to potential customers, and it didn't go well. I can't recommend creating the whole presentation plus the voiceover plus the read script by AI. That's too much for the system to do. Once I created the presentation myself and uploaded it, things were easier. That being said, I did get errors a few times while uploading it. You can tell an AI is reading it, but it does sound a lot more natural than many other systems. Perhaps a little more tweaking on that front.

It was free.  I was able to upload documents to train the Agent.  I really like the ability to tell the Agent how to respond in the future when it gives wrong/bad answers.

When the AI Agent is linked to a form, the AI Agent really forces the form on the user.  In at least one situation, the user said they didn't want to give any contact information, but the AI Agent continued to ask for the information because that is what the form required.  I eventually disconnected the form.

Most websites today have a "live" chat or Chat bot, so I felt we needed something.  We are still training the AI Agent, but in the future, I see the AI Agent being able to answer simple questions quickly so the user feels comfortable enough proceeding with a purchase.

Agent isn't very good at pulling the right information. I have a problem with it saying it can't find information even though I know I uploaded it. This approach increases engagement significantly—learners spend 3x longer interacting with the material compared to static forms.

Zero-Code Training & Customization
With my JotForm Pro plan, I can build, train, and deploy custom AI agents without touching a single line of code. The ability to upload my PSI exam prep files directly and train the agent on conversational quiz formats has eliminated my dependency on developers. Limited Customization in Agent Personality & Tone

Although the agents are conversational, the ability to fine-tune their tone, speaking style, or personality is quite limited. Customizing how the agent responds is mostly restricted to basic prompt instructions. If you require a distinct brand voice or highly specific behavioral traits, you will quickly encounter limitations.

No Advanced Adaptive Learning

The agents do not adapt their difficulty level based on how learners perform. If a user struggles with a topic, the agent does not automatically adjust by offering simpler explanations or more targeted practice. Instead, it follows a uniform approach for all users, which restricts personalization in more advanced training programs.

Export & Reporting Limitations

While agents do collect response data, the reporting dashboard offers only basic insights. To access detailed performance metrics, question-level analytics, or track learner journeys, you need to manually export and process the data. This process becomes cumbersome when managing training across many agents.

Slow Processing on Large Files

When uploading and training agents with large PDFs (over 100 pages) or Excel files containing substantial content, processing can be slow. Delays of 5 to 15 minutes are not unusual, which can interrupt your workflow, especially when you need to iterate quickly.

No Multi-Agent Orchestration

There is no straightforward way to create workflows where multiple agents interact or pass conversations between each other. For example, if you want Agent A to handle basic quizzes and Agent B to provide coaching feedback, there is no built-in method to link them seamlessly.

Limited Integration Depth

Despite these limitations, JotForm AI agents are still quite effective for large-scale insurance training. However, they are best suited for straightforward quiz or coaching scenarios, rather than highly adaptive or multi-layered learning systems.

The Problem I Had

Running a life insurance agency means constantly onboarding new agents who need PSI exam prep, sales script training, and product knowledge—all while I'm already working 50–65 hour weeks. I couldn't hire enough trainers to keep up with growth, external LMS platforms cost $500–$2,000/month, and manual quiz administration was eating into time I needed for business development.

How JotForm AI Agents Fixed It

**What do you like best about Jotform AI Agents?**

I find Jotform AI Agents really easy to use. I like that we receive email notifications which allow me to review the chats to ensure the AI agents are providing the right information. If needed, I can educate them further and share the correct responses. It offers quick communication, responding the minute visitors have questions on the website, which is really great. It also saves us extra time by automatically providing responses without us having to find and send them. The initial setup was pretty easy too; I watched one of the seminars and started using it quickly after.

**What do you dislike about Jotform AI Agents?**

I think it's more like the platform and how to integrate it more into the application process. That part I wanna figure out. Also, analyzing our Jotform applications and maybe making that process a little bit smoother.

It’s a great addition to Jotform and can be used as a chatbot on a website.

It’s a bit difficult to use. When I train it on how to talk, that training never seems to activate after I publish it. Changing the avatar and the voice is also difficult, and the overall setup feels more complicated than it should be.

Our website uses WordPress, and installing the JotForm plugin made it easier to set up and place the ChatBot on the site.
