## JobsEQ Reviews
  ### 1. I'm an Economic Development Researcher and I Use JobsEQ Every Day

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Charles P. | Vice President of Research, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 06, 2025

**What do you like best about JobsEQ?**

The feature I most like about JobsEQ is the flexability in creating custom things - custom regions, custom industry groups and custom occupations. You can easily create the region, industry or labor force that you need and then compare it to any geography that you have access to.

I've found JobsEQ to be so helpful in my organization's efforts to recruit new companies I've added access to all MSAs and counties in the USA, plus subscribed to Real Time Information and Resume Forensics.

**What do you dislike about JobsEQ?**

Its difficult to find something I don't like about JobsEQ, but it would be nice to expand the output of their Economic Impact feature to include Value Added and State/Local taxes.

**What problems is JobsEQ solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use JobsEQ for a variety of purposes, including but not limited to (1) preparing labor force studies for specific industries that include the supply and cost of labor; (2) Real Time Informaiton is used to gather intelligence on specific companies and industries such as hiring needs and wages offered, (3) data from JobsEQ is used in nearly all of the marketing publications my organization produces.

  ### 2. Good for academic program improvement and development and for post-graduate employment outcomes

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tim M. | Assistant Vice Chancellor, Institutional Planning and Effectiveness, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 11, 2025

**What do you like best about JobsEQ?**

Very easy to use interface and very prompt on-demand customer service. I like the ability to customize regions of interest and to create CIP to SOC crosswalks relevant to our degree programs. I like the data export options and the automated reports which I can send to program directors.

**What do you dislike about JobsEQ?**

In Resume Forensics, some of the data is not cleaned up as well as I would prefer. For example, individuals misspell the name of their college attended, and those won't surface as "hits" in a report. There are also duplications of persons, where data scraped from one site where the person uses a slightly different name variation than their name on another site (for example: Bill vs. William).

**What problems is JobsEQ solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It assists us in determining what new credentials are worth developing, and to learn where those who earned credentials are working. This helps us with targeted marketing of our programs.

  ### 3. excellent product for quick access to labor market and education data

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 11, 2025

**What do you like best about JobsEQ?**

We are a large public university and have used JobsEQ since 2018 to better align academic programs with the labor market and our competitive market. We would be lost without it. We have run hundreds of Education Reports and Awards analytic reports, as well as Occupation Reports, Occupation Snapshots, and others. Amazingly easy to use and excellent user support. A few clicks to get a report that otherwise would take weeks or months to accomplish, if you could do it at all. Love the Data Explorer tool and the ability to easily create custom geographic regions on any scale. Very affordable. Reliable data sources. Powerful and robust proprietary analytics. The company is run by Ph.D.-level economists and it shows.

**What do you dislike about JobsEQ?**

I have not found any downsides of using JobsEQ.

**What problems is JobsEQ solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Understanding the current labor market and how our academic offerings can better align with current and future demand.

  ### 4. Big time saver; rich, high quality data.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Real Estate | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 10, 2025

**What do you like best about JobsEQ?**

JobsEQ is a big time saver when preparing for housing & economic presentations, particularly for smaller markets outside of major metro areas. I can present rich data about the local economy to help Realtors understand labor market dymanics. Wages are an important driver of the housing market. The new Housing Analytic tool is an outstanding way to project housing demand so that planners and developers can create the right mix of housing to support local economic development.

**What do you dislike about JobsEQ?**

The Data Explorer is powerful but takes a little time to figure out how to operate to get the most out of it.

**What problems is JobsEQ solving and how is that benefiting you?**

JobsEQ is a good alternative in the Buy versus Build decision for developing economic analysis platforms. There is a lot of free government data but it requires a signficant amount of time and effort to ingest and stage the data in preparation for use. That is the Build alternative. The Buy alternative is to get a subscription to JobsEQ where all of the data preparation is done by a highly qualified team at Chmura Economics so you can focus on analyzing and extracting value from the data.

  ### 5. High quality data for all economic development data needs.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 06, 2025

**What do you like best about JobsEQ?**

What sets JobsEQ apart from similar programs is its quality of data. The granularity and precision of demographic/wage is unparalleled.

**What do you dislike about JobsEQ?**

JobsEQ has so many tools and features, that it can be daunting to learn at first. But with more time and familiarity, this is hardly an issue.

**What problems is JobsEQ solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a research organization we get very specific data requests from our partners. Programs we used in the past could not give us the granularity and accuracy of data that JobsEQ enables us to access.

  ### 6. An excellent resource for community colleges in their economic and workforce development efforts.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pete S. | Vice President for Workforce Development, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 13, 2025

**What do you like best about JobsEQ?**

After using other labor market information products previously, we found JobsEQ to be more user-friendly and provides a better value based on the cost associated.

**What do you dislike about JobsEQ?**

When new reports are developed, training on these reports isn't advertised widely.

**What problems is JobsEQ solving and how is that benefiting you?**

To provide labor market information to our academic schools and to share information with our program advisory boards. We also share information about job outlooks with our students through interactions with Career Services.

  ### 7. One of Two Main Labor Data Platforms for ED

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

Has the data needed for more economic devleopmetn analysis projects
Excellent customer service

**What do you dislike about JobsEQ?**

Shift share is not part of Data Explorer and hard to use
Data Explorer has limited data and is awkward to use
No tax impact with the I/O.
Missing some features of Lightcast

**What problems is JobsEQ solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Community assessment for economic development.
Provides access to extensive labor force data

  ### 8. Insightful Labor Market Trend Software

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 17, 2025

**What do you like best about JobsEQ?**

JobsEq offers exceptional training support and customer service, providing clear guidance to ensure users fully leverage the software's capabilities.

**What do you dislike about JobsEQ?**

What I like least about JobsEq is that, while it’s incredibly comprehensive, the numerous features can sometimes be overwhelming and confusing to navigate.

**What problems is JobsEQ solving and how is that benefiting you?**

JobsEq has solved several problems related to understanding labor market trends and aligning academic programs with current and future job opportunities. By producing occupational data, it helped to identify declining and emerging occupations, as well as the skills required for those roles.

  ### 9. Helpful Database

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kristen R. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 24, 2025

**What do you like best about JobsEQ?**

Quick and reliable data to assist with Economic Development.

**What do you dislike about JobsEQ?**

Some of the data for smaller communities is harder to find - not necessarily just a JobsEQ problem.

**What problems is JobsEQ solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It provides quick and reliable data for Economic Development purposes.
