## About JFrog
JFrog Ltd. (Nasdaq: FROG), the creators of the unified DevOps, DevSecOps, DevGovOps and MLOps platform, is on a mission to create a world of software delivered without friction from development to production. Driven by a “Liquid Software” vision to keep software continuously flowing, secure, and always up to date, the JFrog Platform serves as the definitive software supply chain system of record. It is uniquely engineered to power organizations as they build, manage, and distribute trusted software with unprecedented speed, security, and scale across hybrid and multi-cloud environments. As software engineering evolves in the AI era, JFrog’s newest offerings address the industry's most pressing trend: the rise of agentic software development and the hidden security risks of "Shadow AI." In response to threat actors increasingly targeting developer workflows including a massive surge in malicious open-source AI models and infected packages; JFrog has expanded its platform capabilities to deliver absolute end-to-end visibility and automated compliance. Key new innovations include the JFrog AI Catalog, which enables organizations to centralize, govern, and control the lifecycle of AI models approved for enterprise use. To secure autonomous coding environments, JFrog introduced the Universal MCP Registry and the Agent Skills Registry (developed alongside NVIDIA). These new solutions establish the industry’s first enterprise-grade trust layer to safely manage and store AI agent skills, monitor connections, and instantly block unsafe developer tools or malicious coding extensions right where developers work. Furthermore, the integration of advanced DevGovOps and Runtime Security tools allows teams to replace slow, manual compliance audits with continuous, background policy enforcement. By shifting security left directly into the binary pipeline, JFrog ensures that the volume of AI-assisted code does not outpace an organization's ability to verify its safety. Today, millions of users and approximately 6,600 organizations worldwide, including a majority of the Fortune 100, depend on the universal JFrog Platform to eliminate point-solution fatigue, bridge the governance gap, and securely embrace digital transformation. **Reviewed Date:** July 27, 2022

**What do you like best about JFrog?**

I use the artifactory and pipeline of jFrog and found it very simple and easy to use. JFrog is a complete DevOps solution, for creating pipelines, deploying, and hosting the artifacts, creating cloud infrastructure, hosting SaaS applications, and dependencies that further can be used in projects.

**What do you dislike about JFrog?**

Not anything as of now, the things that I use in JFrog work very well for me.

Using JFrog I have solved many problems like; hosted SaaS applications, created application or code repository, created deployment pipeline, and hosted artifactories for project dependencies.

 ### 7. One of the reliable automation tool with core ARtifactory helping in buliding CI/CD seamless

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rahul K. | Application Developer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 23, 2021

**What do you like best about JFrog?**

The artifactory repository manager is good and fast which helps in pipeline automation. What was the best was the continuous support it provides in business plans, which is really fast. Also, the downtime was very less, which provides a seamless and user experiece.

**What do you dislike about JFrog?**

Although the response was good it is somehow is not able to keep up with the is's competitor in terms of budgets and features offered by Github and GitLab. I used jFrog just for one project but that was a legacy project sooner the pipeline got migrated to Gitlab, with the feature and flexibility to manage the CI/CD through yml file is amazing, the flexibility it provides through Terraform is also great.

**What problems is JFrog solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helped in automating the project through continuous integration and deployment. It was good in the initial days in the legacy projects but later after some time the pipeline got migrated to Gitlab. The shared pipeline and flexibility of Gitlab was more advantageous over jFrog

 ### 8. Best Repository required in Modern Development

It provides strong pipeline to store and control flow of binaries in the development phase. JFrog artifactory has the best artifact repository which can store anything used in the pipeline. It's multicloud support is best as it can be deployed in any application .

**What do you dislike about JFrog?**

The artifact store feature should have auto data backup and restore feature. It will help us in unprecedented times where the application fails. The support is also something which needs to be improved as sometime things gets really delayed

**What problems is JFrog solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Deployment is really fast and supports multiple platforms. It helps to propose and use this application in public, private, and hybrid cloud scenarios as well. The best feature is that it can easily manage repisotory with live replication

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** ANurag T. | Software Engineer II, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 08, 2021

**What do you like best about JFrog?**

JFrog Artifactory is being used as the single binary repository for our entire enterprise. We store everything from application artifacts to Docker images to NPM, Maven and Python packages as dependencies in [JFrog] Artifactory. It's a mission-critical component of our CICD pipelines.

**What do you dislike about JFrog?**

JFrog Artifactory X-Ray isn't mature enough

**Recommendations to others considering JFrog:**

I've worked in multiple organizations and used almost every reputed Artifact management tool and I found JFrog best and it's very mature product also easy to use and host.

**What problems is JFrog solving and how is that benefiting you?**

So many times it happens at the time of dependency resolution some of the servers are down e.g NPM, Maven central, PiPy in that cause our builds starts failing. By proxying these repositories with JFrog this is never happened again.

 ### 13. JFrog Review

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 08, 2021

How easily we can scan the docker image for vulnerabilities before the CI/CD pipeline build.

**What do you dislike about JFrog?**

Nothing so far it has been a good tool to work on.

**What problems is JFrog solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are scanning the CI/CD pipeline build before uploading the container image in jfrog xray. If Patches are available for the vulnerabilities we utilise that.

 ### 14. Great Softare composition analysis tool!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer & Network Security | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 22, 2022

 ### 15. Deep X-ray Security scan for Open Source libraries based on vulnerabilities & licences.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Saravanan C. | Technical Architect, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 01, 2020

**What do you like best about JFrog?**

X-ray is an free add-on tool with artifactory which has the capability to scan the open-source or custom libraries.
The scan is performed based upon vulnerabilities and license levels.
X-ray has the feature of configuring quality gateways and the C1/CD build can be broken based on the quality gates.
X-ray can be scanned on the build or repository level.
X-ray scans the binary post publishing in the artifactory or we can explicitly trigger the scan as a stage in the CI/CD pipelines.

**What do you dislike about JFrog?**

We have to think about X-ray microservices instances running in the same host where artifactory runs. By this way, we can avoid the latency between the JPD platform where the artifactory runs with the X-ray executing in a remote instances.
Can X-ray scan Microsoft libraries ?

**What problems is JFrog solving and how is that benefiting you?**

X-ray can be implemented and enforced in the development environment by installing the X-ray eclipse plugin in the developers workspace. Hence developer can perform X-ray scan in there DEV environment before moving the library to the repository and in the CI/CD pipeline.
Even if Developer misses to scan, the CI/CD can scan the binary.
X-ray is an eye-open for custom libraries and proper licence standards can be defined for the custom libraries.

 ### 16. Very easy to manage code repositories

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Raam K. | Software Test Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 07, 2021

**Reviewed Date:** December 02, 2020

**What do you like best about JFrog?**

I have used the JFrog container registry in my previous investment bank and are planning to use in the current company as well. In large companies, each and every transaction needs to have audit log history. JFrog is awesome and has an amazing UX designing using which we can see each and every detail of the build releases to any environment whether it is DEV/QA or Production.

In my opinion, once we start using the JFrog then one can never go back to other similar products in the market for their centralised artefact repositories. It also supports huge repositories be it Docker, Helm or NPM, etc.

**What do you like best about JFrog?**

I have used both JFrog and Nexus, plus a couple of other ones as artifactory-store. Jfrog offers more than an artifactory, and includes Docker registry plus easy navigation. I have also stored Terraform state files and used this to tear down and rebuild virtual-machines. All in all, JFrog is feature-rich and very flexible.

**What do you like best about JFrog?**

I like it because it is very flexible and easy to use and the price is very low, it is easy to store and it is still a very reliable platform and it is excellent for other types of container implementation, it is not necessary to make an effort, since it includes everything What you need to facilitate container management is really amazing and I hope it continues to improve.

**What do you dislike about JFrog?**

I think it lacks a bit of improvement, especially in the part of the compatibility with other services, it is still limited, we have also noticed many types of errors in some circumstances, and the support does not provide a correct solution for the errors obtained, this platform It is still maturing and I know it will improve soon.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Leandro S. | DevOps Consultant, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 24, 2019

**What do you like best about JFrog?**

If you have at least a PRO license you can get all type of repos you need (Nuget, bower, Maven)
API and plugins itegration are really nice, you can get all the info from the repo, the binaries, ...
The Jenkins Integration for build maven projets is the best you can get to store directly the binaries

**What do you dislike about JFrog?**

the workflow is not so good, the way you interact to reach repos
in builds the info its not well noticeable
we had issues using the jenkins plugin for gradle build

**What problems is JFrog solving and how is that benefiting you?**

we can store the binaries, properly, suing the jenkins plugin or the API. fullt functional

 ### 41. Good tool for storing your environment builds as tarballs

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** ARPIT S. | Research Assistant, Information Technology and Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

It works like Git repository with easy enterprise linked access to easily deploy the tar ball build to it.

**What do you dislike about JFrog?**

It gets very bulky, especially GUI, very hard to navigate if you allow a complex folder structure in your organization.

**Recommendations to others considering JFrog:**

Remove the bulky features like folder structure complexity and switch to a more easier less complex flat structure like S3 buckets of AWS to enhance customer experience with the product and also allowing more maintainability on your end. I would point out that you are competing with giants like GIT bucket and S3 (AWS) so would highly suggest to specialize or configure your tool to a more specialized repository facility rather than a general storage repository.

**What problems is JFrog solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Having a common repository for different environment builds.

 ### 42. JFrog is a must for Developers

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

JFrog / Artifactory is extremely integrated and can cause some excessive dependencies to the product. It has extremely easy scale ability, but can be resource intensive so you need to make sure your network is sufficiently robust to allow heavy use.

**Recommendations to others considering JFrog:**

Consolidate your licenses to co-term . Make sure your administrators are familiar with the dashboard and license counts/renewal dates.

**What do you dislike about JFrog?**

Some of the terminology doesn’t quite mean what you would think it means. Not just a problem with Artifactory, running into that a lot lately with companies trying to distinguish themselves.

**Recommendations to others considering JFrog:**

Use their trial period first. The OSS version is missing a lot of the important features so it’s not a really good testing option.

**What problems is JFrog solving and how is that benefiting you?**

 ### 44. JFrog Artifactory or only Artifactory

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in E-Learning | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 17, 2018

**What do you like best about JFrog?**

JFrog Artifactory, the first repository of universal artifacts. IS a software repository is able to work with all kinds of software pieces, in any language. Not just one with the same description as most similar repositories do. It also allows to work in a centralized way and to maximize the benefit of the development or deployment environments most used today by modern companies.
The main advantage of Artifactory is to avoid that the work teams use different repositories, with different versions or different sources, centralizing in a single site and in a single storage space all the dependencies of a project and its management during the development cycles, even in distributed development environments.
Being universal, it can be integrated with any development tool

**What do you dislike about JFrog?**

There is nothing to highlight as an inconvenience, if it is true that you will always be able to improve, but from a user level I have not seen anything that could qualify as something against, all are advantages

**Recommendations to others considering JFrog:**

JFrog Artifactory, is a repository of universal artifacts that allows us to manage any piece of software, binaries or dependencies, in any language. In addition, it is another of the applications that we can install in just a few clicks, which allows to centralize the work of the different development teams in a scalable and secure environment
Artifactory is used by large companies, such as Google, Twitter, Netflix, etc. But any company or developer can take advantage: it facilitates the delivery of the software, making it faster and avoiding problems in the deployment, testing or development

**What problems is JFrog solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I used it in a company in which I was practicing a few months with the IDEs development tool, and we used it since it presents utilities for devops, version control tools and different operating systems, since 3 of them lived together and we needed a repository that could support the 3 different, so, is able to work with any language and technology needed by any IT project
