What problems is iText by Apryse solving and how is that benefiting you?

Filling in fillable PDF forms. Reading Digital Signatures. Images on forms. And a very complicated rich text generation on forms.

The biggest reason we moved off of 2.1.7-10 was for support of the product. With the FIPS requirement in the US Government, the library needed changes to work. iText has been making the appropriate changes to support BC-FIPS. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"iTextPDF is the best tool for creating custom pdf documents"

What do you like best about iText by Apryse?

We have been using it for creating custom pdf reports. We have used the Java API of iTextPDF and it is very easy to create pdf documents with it. It is very easy to create a custom pdf solution using iTextPDF. If you are a Java developer and looking for library which can help in pdf report/document creation with ease then I would recommend to use iTextPDF. No doubt about that.It's highly recommended. What do you dislike about iText by Apryse?

As a developer I think that there is a lot of boilerplate code that one needs to write to get going with it and it can be reduced to some extent. Otherwise it is a great tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It is a tested PDF creation solution for Java and .Net developers. There are enough get started examples and tutorials available to get you going with this library. We were looking for a tool/library which is easy to integrate with Java and have no performance issue as well for our custom pdf report creation. We were kind of stuck finding the right solution for our project which can provide the solution for the pdf generation in different languages such as tamil telugu.Suprisingly Itext support team handled all our requests very efficiently and provided the solutions in time. Earlier there were not much support for the not so popular languages in itext and there were APIs which were lacking the proper handling for the wide scenarios.But afterwards they resolved it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We were solving the problems like generating the PDF in local language such as tamil from the html code which we have created and giving the custom page number and looks of pdf and alignments and many more.

What do you like best about iText by Apryse?

We chose iText library for our renowned Healthcare product in Dell. The documentation is very handy and much easier to understand and integrate as per your requirement. Some of the best features of iText is:

1. Very compatible with Java language.

2. High end feature like digital signature/e-sign has been included.

3. Minute customization of pdf feature can be done.

What do you dislike about iText by Apryse?

We were trying to upgrade the iText version from 2 to 8 and it was little complicated and some of the features were deprecated and hence needed ample amount of time to re-design the pdf file using iText8.0. What problems is iText by Apryse solving and how is that benefiting you?

In order to create a very dynamic and feature rich pdf files using Java language we chose iTextPDF. Its having a lot of very scalable feature which you can customize as per the requirement. We designed the entire Physician documentation application (Healthcare) using iTextPDF. We also used the e-sign feature in our pdf as one of the cutting edge feature.
