## iSpy Reviews
  ### 1. Average opensource product for Cameras and home setup

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ruben T. | Tester, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 08, 2024

**What do you like best about iSpy?**

the tool is free, open-source, well documented, and has an intuitive UI for operating, but there is nothing special about it, it's just a good, lightweight, and free solution for camera management.

**What do you dislike about iSpy?**

the interface is ugly, I mean it is doing its job, but they could add some brighter colors instead of what we have now

**What problems is iSpy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I needed to add some cameras near my house, the problem is there are plenty of solutions out there that cost a heft amount of money, so I decided to use some open-source solutions and setup the web by myself, which is when I came across the iSpy. it is helping me to simply create a local server and connect all web cameras using the same wifi network. Very easy and straightforward installation and usage

  ### 2. iSpy: A Versatile Surveillance Solution for Technical people

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Prakhar G. | Software developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 12, 2024

**What do you like best about iSpy?**

1. Basic Version of iSpy is free to download in desktop version.
2. iSpy supports a variety of camera types which are webcams and CCTV systems.
3. the best feature which I like is motion and sound detection .
4. Use of this software is easy once it is setup properly.

**What do you dislike about iSpy?**

1. Not easy to setup as it requires basic technical knowledge to install.
2. Free version does not have a lot of features.
3.Customer support is not good.

**What problems is iSpy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I set up ispy software in my home parking as currently a lot of vehicle thefts are roaming in my city and they are stealing the vehicles from house parkings.
Therefore, I installed this software in my house parking and after a week of installation of iSpy, my neighbours vehicle got stolen but due to iSpy which I installed in my house parking .
Faces of Thiefs got captured in the camera and local police successfully recovered my neighbour's vehicle as they captured the thiefs.

  ### 3. Open Source Analytical Tool for Data Importing and Analytics Effectively

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ankit S. | Business Development Manager, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 29, 2024

**What do you like best about iSpy?**

iSpy is a fantastic monitoring tool that integrates easily with the majority of software packages. For those who understand the fundamentals of how a monitoring tool operates, it is simple to use. Although it took some time, iSpy's integration with our current environment turned out nicely. This lightweight tool makes tracking and app monitoring more effective. An excellent tool for server management and analysis.

**What do you dislike about iSpy?**

A system administrator is required to properly set up it. The absence of migration tools might make switching from one system to another challenging. These restrictions are typical of an open-source solution, though. It hardly contains any visuals.

**What problems is iSpy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Prometheus is a fantastic monitoring tool that integrates easily with the majority of software packages. It has been functioning well so far and manages a lot of data for us. I've set up iSpy to keep an eye on every company server. I now think that iSpy is the greatest open-source monitoring program available.

  ### 4. Opportunity to link several cameras

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Amro L. | Customer Success Coordinator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 01, 2024

**What do you like best about iSpy?**

iSpy is free and is an open-source system, it is relatively cheaper in terms of budget for home protection. It’s possible to control multiple cameras and watch the video stream in real-time on my PC. This is very useful in cases where there is activity in my property that I have not anticipated.

**What do you dislike about iSpy?**

iSpy has some fault of the features of a mobile app, but they are not quite basic indeed. The free app does not allow users to have multiple cameras on at once or zoom in on an area, but it only lets the user watch the feed from a single camera. This disjointed approach makes it difficult to track my home security system from any location.

**What problems is iSpy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

iSpy is a good option for those people like myself who are in search of an opportunity to create a primitive home safety system without spending lots of money. The ability to monitor live feeds is helpful as well as the motion alert feature makes me feel secure knowing I have an eye on things.

  ### 5. Elevate your surveillance with iSPY

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Leena S. | project manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 12, 2024

**What do you like best about iSpy?**

iSpy delivers a powerful and adaptable open-source security solution that caters to a variety of surveilance needs. With its supports for multiple camera types and comprehensive motion detection, it offers robust functionality for both home and business use. However, software's range of features might be a bit overwhelming for newcomers.

1. Excellent motion detection and alert options.
2. Accessible remotely via web and mobile apps.
3. cloud storage available for extra security.
4.Compatible with a wide range of camera types.
5.Highly customizable.

**What do you dislike about iSpy?**

1. Can be complex for beginners to setup.
2. The interface might be bit challenging to navigate.

**What problems is iSpy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

iSpy addresses key business problems by offering a cost-effective, customizable surveillance solution that supports remote monitoring and is scalable as your needs grow. It enhances security wih robust motion detection and cloud storage.

  ### 6. Providing home security monitoring

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Avinash T. | Onboarding Specialist, Environmental Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 03, 2024

**What do you like best about iSpy?**

I found iSpy to provide a significant number of features such as motion detection, recording options, and the ability to monitor through my computer. In setting up the product, simple monitoring was quite easy and the interface is relatively easy to understand.

**What do you dislike about iSpy?**

The official app is awkward and buggy, that freezes and loses connection often. Third-party readers are slightly better when it comes to convenience but are usually less customized, carry some security risks with them.

**What problems is iSpy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

iSpy for home security monitoring is one of the few strong and free applications out there. I find solace in the fact that am able to monitor things and people when am not around. The possibility of filming is also beneficial in case of unwanted events occurring in the territory.

I appreciate how they've found a balance between free and paid services. The free service is feature rich and highly customizable, and never feels absurdly limited. At the same time, you really feel like you get your value from the paid services.

It's powerful and reliable and basic use is pretty straight forward.

**What do you dislike about iSpy?**

I'll take features over usability any day, but the back end is pretty complicated. There's a host of resources to find help, but it could be more intuitive.
