Overall, the system is straightforward and works well for what we do, it allows us to store documents and time record effectively. The Accounting side of the system is also really good and how an accounts system should work for a law firm. **What do you dislike about IQ Legal?** We are unable to drag documents out of the system and into emails. There’s currently no integration with PDF software, and there’s no automatic prompt to record time when sending emails. The system can also run a bit slow at times, depending on the file you’re working on, and the Outlook add-in can be temperamental. **What problems is IQ Legal solving and how is that benefiting you?** We have definitely reduced costs by using OneAdvanaced Legal. We migrated over from ALB, and the system is very similar, which made the transition straightforward. As a firm, our processes are quite simple, and the system does what we need it to do, although it still requires a few minor improvements. ### 2. This makes all working take so much longer and I dont want want to email it out or save as a draft. - you can tell it has not been designed by someone using it. Some things to select you need to double click, others are a click and then click 'ok'. It is confusing, non-uniform, and time consuming - time recording is not in date order when you go onto time sheet, so you cannot quickly check if you just TR for something, like receiving an email, as on the time sheet you don't know if that was one you just did or one from earlier in the day as they all move around - you cannot have different ordering per each folder. e.g. i want my folders in alphabetic order, but the docs within emails to be in date order, but when you select one option, it changes all. Old alb allowed you to have one setting for each option. - time recording is longer having to go into an attendance note and then TR separately on the tab, selecting the dates twice etc. so that we still have out note on the file and it goes to billing. It is unfathomable that in this country, we have HM Land Registry which requires property to be registered, but there is no such obligation for Wills to be registered, despite Wills containing potentially more and at least equal, if not higher value, assets. The National Will Register is working tirelessly to plug this significant gap and we always advise clients to register Wills here. It is of equal importance for us to have the ability to search for previous Wills where a potential dispute arises and again, The National Will Register offers this service which is invaluable to our will dispute work. The service is invaluable in making sure that errors in distributing estates do not happen. It vastly cuts down on the amount of time it takes me to enter my billing entries for the week. I also enjoy that I am able to copy and paste entries, and then easily go back in to edit them. **What do you dislike about IQ Legal?** The interface of Carpe Diem is very outdated and not intuitive. I'm sure there are numerous other capabilities that I haven't even gotten into as they are not obvious within the software. I also wish there was a way to create custom reports by searching for keywords within the narrative of the entries. **Recommendations to others considering IQ Legal:** Once you get the hang of it and understand the interface, it is not terribly hard to use. Although I would not consider the software easy to use by any means. **What problems is IQ Legal solving and how is that benefiting you?** I have realized that keeping track of my time and entering it daily into carpe diem allows me to more accurately bill my time which benefits my company and my clients. ### 12.
