## Intruder Reviews
  ### 1. Outstanding Experience with No Drawbacks

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nic H. | Operations Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 16, 2025

**What do you like best about Intruder?**

What we’ve found most helpful about Intruder is the clarity and prioritisation of its findings. Rather than overwhelming us with low-value noise, it highlights vulnerabilities that genuinely matter and explains why they are important. The continuous scanning model is a big advantage, as it means new issues are identified as our environment changes, rather than relying on occasional point-in-time tests. The level of context provided for each finding, including exploitability and practical remediation guidance, makes it much easier to take meaningful action. Intruder also gives excellent visibility of externally exposed assets, which are often the areas of highest risk. The dashboard is clean and intuitive, allowing us to communicate risk clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, and it integrates smoothly into our existing workflows without heavy setup. Overall, it provides ongoing assurance that we are actively reducing real-world risk rather than simply running scans for compliance.

**What do you dislike about Intruder?**

At this stage, we haven’t identified any significant downsides. The platform has been straightforward to set up, the findings have been clear and actionable, and it has integrated well into our existing processes. If anything, any future feedback is more likely to be around additional features or refinements rather than core shortcomings, but so far our experience has been entirely positive.

**What problems is Intruder solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Intruder is solving the problem of infrequent, point-in-time vulnerability testing. Previously, vulnerability scanning was largely an annual exercise carried out by third-party suppliers, which meant issues could exist for months before being identified. By using Intruder to run regular weekly scans, we now have continuous visibility of our security posture and can identify and address vulnerabilities much earlier. This significantly reduces risk, shortens remediation timelines, and gives us far greater confidence that new or emerging issues are not being missed between formal assessments.

  ### 5. It Just Works: Low-Maintenance and Reliable

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consumer Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 29, 2026

**What do you like best about Intruder?**

It does what we need it to do and requires very little interaction or maintenance on our part. We haven’t had any issues with it so far—it just works.

**What do you dislike about Intruder?**

The Help Center feels buried under my account information, and it really should be more prominent on the screen. It took me a while to locate it. I’d also like to see more specific information on ciphers, including guidance on how they should be used in different situations. Finally, when the recommended fix requires a software upgrade, we sometimes can’t upgrade due to legacy concerns; it would be helpful to have suggestions for alternative methods to stay protected, or at least a clear place to find that kind of information.

**What problems is Intruder solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Increase security for our websites and provide documentation of penetration testing to our clients and vendors

  ### 6. Intruder: Effortless and Effective Security Scanning

**What do you like best about Intruder?**

I appreciate Intruder's easy user interface, which allows me to navigate effortlessly. The automatic scanning feature is invaluable as it runs scans whenever a new issue arises, saving me the need to initiate them manually. This automation helps in quickly identifying new vulnerabilities and understanding what they pertain to. I love the capability to easily track issues within the interface until they are resolved, simplifying my workflow significantly. Additionally, Intruder's proactive approach in staying on top of identifying potential security vulnerabilities means I don’t have to allocate someone specifically for constant monitoring, which is a considerable advantage. The initial setup was straightforward as well, only requiring the creation of dedicated user accounts for the application and the Intruder bot to log in and perform deep scanning. Overall, Intruder not only maintains a seamless usability but also effectively integrates with our development tools like Azure DevOps, making it an incredibly valuable resource in our security management efforts.

**What do you dislike about Intruder?**

Nothing comes to mind.

It's interface is clean and detained. Easy to use and full of useful information to help address issues when they are found.

**What do you dislike about Intruder?**

Truely do not have a con to the product. They one I did have was fixed. Used to be that the dashboard layout with the hygiene score was not included in the reports. It now is so I have nothing negative to say about it.

**What problems is Intruder solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solved paying for manual penetration testing. It a much better value.

I really appreciate that Intruder helped us gain visibility on our network, which made it easier to understand our risks and take concise action to tighten our defenses. It's incredibly simple to set up and see exactly what's going on, unlike other programs that are complicated. I also love how quickly we had it running, just within a few hours. Right now, we're in the honeymoon phase and enjoying all of it.

**What do you dislike about Intruder?**

I would likely say more information on licensing costs - it was challenging to find this on the site. But this in no way impacted the quality or usability of Intruder.

**What problems is Intruder solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Intruder helps us gain visibility on our network, close security gaps, and easily understand risks to enhance our defenses.

  ### 11. Flexible and easy to use scanning solution

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andy M. | Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 11, 2025

**What do you like best about Intruder?**

My company was looking for a good service to enhance our managed platform offer to clients. While we were using some automated scanning before, Intruder is vastly more comprehensive and provides much wider scope for our needs.

When considering the solution I spoke with Dan in the Intruder team who did a great job of understanding our context and needs, and showing us how Intruder may suit us. This was followed by the 14 day trial where we ran a few tests before deciding to take on a paid plan.

The Intruder system is comprehensive but easy to use, and integrating it into each of our projects for testing was simple. There is a lot of documentation to help, and the web chat feature has also been good to talk through any specific queries with the team.

**What do you dislike about Intruder?**

It is quite early days for us and so far everything has been great. One thing I could possibly comment on is that the scan times (at least on our projects) did take a bit longer than I originally expected. We did a simple external scan on one platform and it took nearly 16 hours to complete. That said, the time does also show how comprehensively it is testing, and now we know what to expect we can build it that sort of time into our schedule.

**What problems is Intruder solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Increasingly our clients are putting cyber security and risk front of mind on projects, with some having specific compliance checks required to work with them. Intruder is helping us meet these needs as part of our wider package and gives both us and our clients a bit more reassurance that their online assets are secure.

  ### 12. "Intruder - I lick he boom boom down" Great Product, even greater people, Recommended!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Neil H. | Operational Security Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 30, 2025

**What do you like best about Intruder?**

Dealing with Intruder as a company, product aside (which is thorough). The people involved behind the scenes are the ones that truly sell this product. (It sells itself) I have nothing but gratitude and favourable things to utter about each and every individual I deal with from Intruder. They know who they are.

Deployment is easy, support is excellent and I just like it.

**What do you dislike about Intruder?**

Being the positive, affable individual I am. There is nothing I dislike about the product. I am embracing the ever evolving Threat Intelligence elements breathing life into the product.

**What problems is Intruder solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Provides a level of confidence that new systems/hosts that are spun up, the machines will be 'seen' and scans will provide emerging threat scans. You can relax and just let it do its thing!

  ### 13. My company switched to Intruder its easy to use and very good UX, finds what we needed

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Robert E. | Senior Architect, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 13, 2025

**What do you like best about Intruder?**

Intruder delivers a great balance between strong vulnerability scanning capabilities and a clean, intuitive user experience. The setup was especially smooth thanks to the helpful onboarding flow and in-app guidance.

One standout feature is how authentication is handled—when configuring an authenticated scan, Intruder captures a screenshot after the login attempt. This made it incredibly easy to confirm that the scanner had proper access to the application, which saved time and eliminated the usual trial-and-error.

The vulnerability findings are clearly prioritised, with remediation steps that are actionable and easy to follow. I also want to highlight the excellent support—both the automated agent and live support were knowledgeable and responsive, helping us resolve questions quickly.

We setup weekly scans and it is possible to configure emails to be sent along with integrations to have a process of acting on the scan results.

**What do you dislike about Intruder?**

The only real friction point was understanding the licence model. Intruder separates licences into Infrastructure and Application, which wasn’t immediately intuitive when getting started. It took a bit of time and support to fully understand how each licence type applies to different scan targets and that these scan for a different set of vulnerabilities.

Additionally, while the default reporting and scan options are solid, some advanced users may wish for more fine-grained control and export flexibility when generating custom reports.

**What problems is Intruder solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Intruder enables us to stay on top of vulnerabilities with a structured, weekly scanning process that fits into our security operations processes. The platform helps us identify and prioritise issues early—before they become incidents.

We’ve also activated emerging threat scans, to get early indication of issues.

  ### 14. Security Operations Manager

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Khodor B. | Security Operations Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 03, 2025

**What do you like best about Intruder?**

I’ve been testing out Intruder.io for the past couple of weeks, mainly to get a feel for how well it fits into a cloud-heavy environment. So far, I’ve integrated it with Azure and ran tests using their agent, and I have to say—I'm mostly impressed.

First impressions:
The UI is clean and intuitive. I didn’t need to dig through documentation to figure out where things were. Connecting it to our Azure environment was smooth—probably one of the easiest integrations I’ve done in a while. Once the scans kicked off, results started coming in quickly, and the platform did a solid job of flagging vulnerabilities with enough context to take action.

Agent test:
I also tested the internal scanning using their agent. Setup was simple, and the scan ran without a hitch. It’s lightweight and didn’t bog down the VM, which is something I always look out for.

Final thoughts:
For someone looking to get up and running fast with a reliable vulnerability management tool—especially in the cloud—I think Intruder.io delivers. It's not the deepest tool for hardcore pentesters, but for ongoing visibility and clean reporting, it’s exactly the kind of lightweight, effective solution I’d recommend for SMBs or hybrid cloud setups.

**What do you dislike about Intruder?**

Advanced users might miss some of the granular control you’d get in something like Nessus or OpenVAS.

**What problems is Intruder solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With so many moving parts—VMs, endpoints, services—it’s easy for issues to go unnoticed. Intruder helps by automating the scanning process and clearly prioritizing real risks instead of flooding me with low-impact noise.

Since integrating it with Azure and testing the agent, I’ve had better visibility into both external and internal threats, without needing to manually trigger scans or sift through overwhelming reports. It’s saving me time, reducing risk exposure, and making it easier to stay proactive about security.

  ### 15. Small teams greatest helper

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 11, 2025

**What do you like best about Intruder?**

Intruder stands out for its ease of use, its clean, intuitive interface means I can start a scan or review results without wasting time navigating complex menus. Getting set up was quick and straightforward, with minimal configuration required to get it running effectively. Despite its simplicity, it offers a rich set of features, from comprehensive vulnerability scanning to easy rescan options, which makes it a perfect fit for frequent use. The platform integrates smoothly with our workflow, so running scans, reviewing results, and taking action feels seamless rather than disruptive to daily operations. Additionally, the Customer Support has been some of the best, they respond within the hour of your request and can schedule meetings for discussion the next day if needed. Also the CSMs automatically schedule meetings to check up and update you about new tools they released.

**What do you dislike about Intruder?**

The only drawback I’ve noticed is that scan times can occasionally be longer than expected, especially during peak usage periods. It’s not a dealbreaker, but quicker turnaround would make the process even smoother when dealing with time-sensitive issues.

**What problems is Intruder solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our biggest challenge as a small security team is keeping up with the constant stream of potential threats and vulnerabilities across our environment. Intruder helps us overcome this by automating the discovery, prioritization, and tracking of security issues, allowing us to stay on top of our IT security without becoming overwhelmed. It pinpoints vulnerabilities that would have taken us days to identify manually, and provides clear, actionable remediation steps that save us valuable time. The ability to quickly rescan after fixes means we can validate our work immediately, ensuring risks are addressed before they can be exploited. This efficiency not only improves our security posture but also frees up our team to focus on other critical initiatives.

  ### 16. Effortless Setup, Reliable Scans With Room for Improvement

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Iason G.

**Reviewed Date:** December 22, 2025

**What do you like best about Intruder?**

I like how easy Intruder is to set up and execute. The autoscanner is one of the most important features for me, along with the continuous updates on critical security vulnerabilities.

**What do you dislike about Intruder?**

Some SQL injections are not found. We had one recently that a colleague found, but Intruder apparently skipped or didn't manage to find. It doesn't integrate with our end-to-end tests, which would be very helpful.

**What problems is Intruder solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Intruder scans our application and endpoints monthly to promptly identify security vulnerabilities.

  ### 17. Easy to set up, easy to integrate, great customer service.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 05, 2025

**What do you like best about Intruder?**

The interface is super simple. From experience with vulnerability scanners the config can sometimes be made to feel more complex than it needs to be. However Intruder is painless. I've also raised a few questions with the customer support team and the comms are always, fast, to the point. Other SaaS security providers could take note. It's also significantly cheaper than alternatives.

**What do you dislike about Intruder?**

If you are dealing with an incredibly large number of different resource types the interface and filters may be somewhat restrictive but for most SME and enterprise it's perfect.

**What problems is Intruder solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Its a low cost, easy to use full scope scanner. It solves a lot of problems. There really isn't any reason to get this stuff wrong as it's made super easy and with in reach for any business.

  ### 18. Intruder for Vulnerability Scanning

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Richard G. | CISO, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 08, 2025

**What do you like best about Intruder?**

Super easy to configure to include all cloud resources in both AWS and Azure to ensure vulnerability issues are identified and considered in a timely manner. Added benefit of application scanning through addition of credentials for application login to perform a level of penetration testing too.

**What do you dislike about Intruder?**

Can have a number of false positives - but these can be easily tagged as noise.

**What problems is Intruder solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keeping on top of vulnerabilities across our cloud infrastructure and applications. Ease of using a single pane of glass across both AWS and Azure (that we use) as well running application security.

  ### 19. Turnkey Monitoring

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed Date:** January 20, 2026

**What do you like best about Intruder?**

Cost effective turnkey monitoring solution. We were up and running with Intruder in only a few hours.

**What do you dislike about Intruder?**

Personally I love the UI, but some younger folks may not understand the "Invaders" reference.

**What problems is Intruder solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed an easier way to continuously monitor our suite of SaaS applications.

  ### 20. Simple and effective security tool

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Meryem D. | IT Support Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 25, 2025

**What do you like best about Intruder?**

Easy to use, clear reports, and helpful automated scans.

**What do you dislike about Intruder?**

Some reports are a bit generic and integrations could be better.

**What problems is Intruder solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Intruder helps us identify security vulnerabilities early and automatically, so we can fix issues before they become serious. This improves our overall security posture, saves time for the team, and gives peace of mind that critical systems are monitored.

  ### 21. Effortless Scan Management with Cloud Sync and Authentication

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mark B. | Cloud and Analytics Lead, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 01, 2025

**What do you like best about Intruder?**

Simple place to manage all scans, can use authentication, sync with cloud services

**What do you dislike about Intruder?**

Nothing yet, would be good if you could exclude more urls from scan to avoid issues with authentication endpoints which are nothing to do with what I really want to scan

**What problems is Intruder solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Checking and proving that website is secure

  ### 22. A Robust and User-Friendly Vulnerability Management Solution

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Murali T. | Head Of Cloud, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 02, 2025

**What do you like best about Intruder?**

I appreciate Intruder.io's user-friendly interface, which simplifies navigation and operation, making it accessible even for those with limited technical expertise. Additionally, its extensive vulnerability scanning capabilities provide comprehensive coverage, ensuring that potential security issues are thoroughly identified and addressed

**What do you dislike about Intruder?**

While Intruder.io offers a user-friendly interface and extensive coverage, generating reports for specific resources isn't intuitive. Additionally, updating targets requires deletion and re-adding, likely due to licensing constraints, necessitating reliance on external DNS configuration

**What problems is Intruder solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We utilize Intruder.io to conduct weekly scans of our systems, effectively identifying vulnerabilities and gaps in our security posture. This proactive approach enables us to address issues promptly, thereby reducing our exposure to potential threats. Additionally, Intruder.io's Emerging Threat Scans automatically assess our environment against newly identified critical vulnerabilities, ensuring we stay protected against the latest threats. citeturn0search0

  ### 23. Effortless Security Scanning with Great Value

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Riccardo F. | Cloud Architect / Systems administrator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 30, 2025

**What do you like best about Intruder?**

Intruder is an incredibly easy-to-use security scanning service that automatically and efficiently identifies vulnerabilities. It's a powerful tool that eliminates the stress of managing cybersecurity risks, making it ideal for both small teams and larger organizations. The intuitive interface, clear reports, and time-saving features make it a standout solution. On top of that, the pricing is very reasonable for the value it provides. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a hassle-free security solution.

Implementation is straightforward, even if your environment includes firewalls or authentication systems. You can simply add exclusions, which are conveniently provided during the configuration process. We run scans on a weekly basis, benefiting from the automated scanning features (every month), while also conducting manual scans whenever we release something new to ensure security remains airtight.

The customer support is outstanding — responsive, efficient, and highly helpful. Additionally, integrating Intruder with our platform was very easy.

**What do you dislike about Intruder?**

We've been using Intruder for years, and right now there's nothing we dislike about it.

**What problems is Intruder solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It alerts us in case of vulnerabilities (such as software, both at the application level and OS). It also precisely identifies which vulnerability was found and where it was detected.

  ### 24. Great vulnerability scanner and great team

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Christophe L. | CIO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 30, 2025

**What do you like best about Intruder?**

The interface is simple but it gives me exactly what I need. The daily scans are constantly pointing out improvements to increase the security of our platform. The few times I needed explanations, the support team was exceptional. Intruder not only flags vulnerabilities, but also provides recommendations on how to eliminate them.

**What do you dislike about Intruder?**

So far, I cannot think of any negatives.

**What problems is Intruder solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We embraced Intruder a few weeks ago. It is the tool that we needed to enhance the security of our environment.

  ### 25. Cloudn8v & Intruder.io

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jonathan H. | Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 21, 2023

**What do you like best about Intruder?**

We were after an authenticated, comprehensive webapp and cloud asset vulnerability scanner, and after testing the intruder.io platform, we found numerous positive features that make it a standout option in the marketplace.

**What do you dislike about Intruder?**

One potential negative of Intruder.io is the 30-day lock on moving authentication domain targets. If a user wants to switch to a new domain or target for authentication testing, they must wait for 30 days before they can do so. This limitation can be frustrating, especially if switching domains is a requirement.

**What problems is Intruder solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Assisted in pen-testing & positive vulnerabilities in deployed infrastructure.

  ### 26. Quick setup and ease of use.

Initial pricing is a lot for smaller implementations to start off with and only really makes sense with some scale.

Intruder helps us to manage our exposure externally on all varieties of systems we support. We also use the system internally to scan our production environments whether that might Linux or Windows based.

  ### 27. 1 week from POC to go-live

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Medical Devices | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 20, 2025

**What do you like best about Intruder?**

It took us 1 week from starting the POC until go live and be able to scan internal Targets. Dan help us with all required tests and the commercial side. Support answered really fast when there were issues or questions!

**What do you dislike about Intruder?**

Nothing to mention so far. A few more features in terms of time zone would be nice but we worked around this by using the API and Tags.

**What problems is Intruder solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed a quick and easy to manage solution which Intruder can deliver on.

  ### 28. Intruder is a perfect CVE Scanner for enterprises

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Medical Devices | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 20, 2025

**What do you like best about Intruder?**

I really like the design of the Webinterface and how easy it works with the tenable Nessus Agent.

**What do you dislike about Intruder?**

One thing I noticed is that when I tried to add an Agent to a Mac Device and linked the agent to intruder it unlinked itself after a while but after the second linking it stayed linked for now.

**What problems is Intruder solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It will be our cve scanner for all our systems to detect vulnerablilities. It will help us get the ISO 27001 Certification.

  ### 29. Easy to implement for my first time navigating new PCI requirements

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chris T. | Technical Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 27, 2025

**What do you like best about Intruder?**

We have a large task ahead, with changes in PCI 4.0 requiring that even sites which do not process card details directly require a level of compliance. We needed a partner who could perform compliant scans and would give our developers clear guidance on how to mitigate any issues it found. We tried out a couple of services, but Intruder came out tops, with a simple interface, easy to understand reports, plus the benefit of constant emergent threat scanning. This gives us the confidence that our web applications will remain as secure as possible in the long term. The pricing is competitive and easy to understand, plus the discounts start to kick in when scanning more than one application which will greatly reduce our costs as we manage about 35 websites which now have this requirement.
I had a few questions along the way which were promptly responded to with really good advice.

**What do you dislike about Intruder?**

It scans for literally everything and the scans take a very long time to complete. It would be great to be able to filter the scans to look for specific issues, rather than completing a whole scan each time.

**What problems is Intruder solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Making PCI 4.0 compliance an easier process for our developers

We needed a report about how vulnerable our platform is.

  ### 31. Incredibly Powerful and Easy to Use
