It alerts me if one of my systems is vulnerable, keeps abreast of new vulnerabilities and provides a nice clear dashboard of what's going on. **What do you dislike about Intruder?** Not a lot. If I were to ask for two additions, it would be SAML support for login (so we can use Okta). More communication about improvements to the platform might be helpful too - I find new features when I login, but as we generally don't need to login (which is a good thing) I don't find them often! **Recommendations to others considering Intruder:** They are a good team to work with - if you need a vulnerability scanner, especially against external services, it is a safe bet. **What problems is Intruder solving and how is that benefiting you?** Keeping our external services secure. We no longer have to worry quite as much about vulnerabilities in our external services. Whilst we have separate internal vulnerability management already, having intruder on a typical on-prem system also helps reassure. ### 2. What we like best is the way it boils down security issues to actionable tasks. You can trust that when it finds an issue it is really an issue and not a false positive. We trust it enough to have issues found by the automated scans added directly into Jira via their Jira integration. The Vanguard add-on also really takes the product to the next level. Having security engineers who are familiar with our site look at the automated results and verify them is definitely worth it. With Vanguard they can also pro-actively look for more complex issues like a hacker would. They found a critical issue in their first month that was worth the whole cost of the product. **What do you dislike about Intruder?** Not much. The platform is simple and easy to use, but it is pretty new still so there are some usability things that are still rough around the edges. The slack integration could be expanded, for example there's not yet a way to have a new issue that shows up report to a slack channel. They have been responsive to feature requests. **What problems is Intruder solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are closing security holes we didn't know about before hackers find them. We have somewhere the team can refer to that shows an understandable view of what our open security issues are. ### 3. Once set up, the cyber analysis on our systems is very comprehensive, and the reports and regular email updates on emerging threats that have been scanned give excellent reassurance. Price is also very good too. **What do you dislike about Intruder?** Not a whole lot, to be honest. The reports could be a little more detailed - maybe showing common threats specific to your systems/operating systems as the general cookie-cutter statements about OWASP, etc. **What problems is Intruder solving and how is that benefiting you?** Penetration tests are expensive, and only look at a snapshot of your system when it was tested. The options on the Pro level subscription meet all of our current needs. Tests against emerging threats are great to give peace of mind. We can test out both our physical environments, as well as cloud instances. The high-level management dashboards are helpful and the detailed reports (including remediation instructions) are excellent. Looking to utilise the API capabilities to more deeply integrate with our other cyber security and IT support tools. Overall, an excellent product. **What do you dislike about Intruder?** I would prefer to get the same price whether paid by credit card or formal invoice (online is discounted by 10%). Most medium and large organisations prefer the formal route rather than an online card payment which can be difficult to track and report upon. Apart from that, there's very little to dislike. **What problems is Intruder solving and how is that benefiting you?** I have implemented a number of cyber security products and by using Intruder, have been able to validate whether they are making a difference or not. Intruder helps to identify blind spots that would otherwise have gone unobserved. We still like to do a full paid annual penetration test and after implementing Intruder, managed to achieve our very first clean bill of health with zero findings. ### 17. We had several teething issues (as you always would with an installation of a new system like this), the Intruder.io team were always on the other end of the phone, email, or even live chat assisting our questions, monitoring our problems they even made new system releases to add features that our business required. **What do you dislike about Intruder?** I can't highlight much to dislike about the product or services. As when we have had issues or found something we disliked, the team at intruder.io either pointed us to the resolve or have worked on back-end changes to resolve those issues. **Recommendations to others considering Intruder:** Give the system some time to bed in, and don't be put off by the initial high load of vulnerabilities if you have never scanned for them before. The dashboard is also great as it shows you what you need to immediately address. The integration with Slack is great and I'm looking forward to centralising all of my alerts into a single channel. Overall this product is extremely easy to configure, gives great coverage and ticks all of the boxes for continuous vulnerability scanning. I have also found the support team to be super responsive and immediately available to assist. That's how I measure the value of a company, when something goes wrong - how quickly do they rectify the problem and assist you? With Intruder, this was immediate. **What do you dislike about Intruder?** It's not a dislike, but the website is not super responsive on mobile devices. My questions are usually answered (by a real person) within 10 minutes, many times sooner than that. The UX experience is very simple and allows relative beginners to quickly generate value once it's configured (takes about 15 minutes). **What do you dislike about Intruder?** Very minor UX nits, which they have been very receptive to feedback and suggestions. **What problems is Intruder solving and how is that benefiting you?** As a new MSSP (Managed Security Services Provider), I needed to quickly ramp up the tools necessary to provide a comprehensive suite of services to my customers. I, personally, really appreciate the internal target scanning feature, this helps me to scan private workstations and servers to make sure that they are clean and secure. The support was outstanding. I was used to good customer service in the US, and the UK has generally been a bit disappointing by comparison. It gives us and our customers peace of mind. The monthly scan, along with immediate vulnerability updates keeps us all in the loop - and there's nothing more satisfying than receiving an 'Emerging Threats' email which calmly tells you that you've passed! The user interface is slick, easy to use and tells you everything you need to know. **What do you dislike about Intruder?** I've not found a single thing to dislike! **Recommendations to others considering Intruder:** Intruder offer a 30-day free trial, and if you're unsure whether it provides what you need, then it's definitely worth a try. Whilst the scans are vital, don't underestimate the value of the emerging threat notifications too. **What problems is Intruder solving and how is that benefiting you?** It allows us to focus on core product, and ensures that whilst our focus is elsewhere, we know that if there are any issues we'll find out about them quickly - and remediation advice will be provided. ### 43.
