## ImageKit Reviews
  ### 1. Reliable image hosting with fast CDN and extremely useful transformations

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shubham G. | Senior Manager, Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 25, 2025

**What do you like best about ImageKit?**

I use ImageKit to host and optimize images for an AI-art blog I run under my registered business domain. All images on the site go through ImageKit, so I work daily inside the Media Library, Analytics, and URL-based Transformations sections. Uploading assets in organized folders, checking bandwidth usage, and applying format conversion and resizing parameters directly from the dashboard has become part of my regular workflow.

The most valuable feature for me is transformation by URL parameters—I generate several visual versions (rounded borders, resized, or WebP-converted) without storing multiple copies. The real-time CDN analytics also help me understand which images drive the highest bandwidth and how caching impacts load performance.

**What do you dislike about ImageKit?**

No major complaints so far. The depth of features means there’s a slight learning curve during initial onboarding. For example, setting up transformation presets and cache behavior took me some time to get right. Once configured, though, everything has been predictable and easy to maintain.

**What problems is ImageKit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before ImageKit, I hosted images on ImgBB and Imgur and often saw broken thumbnails, inconsistent availability, and slow load times that negatively affected page ranking and bounce rate. After switching, load time improved instantly, and my blog carousel stopped stuttering.

I now store assets in a structured folder hierarchy, use automatic WebP conversion, and rely on the CDN cache to serve images globally. This removed the need to manually compress or create duplicates and reduced overall storage use. Page performance scores improved significantly, and content publishing requires minimal effort now.

  ### 2. Streamlined DAM with Superb Image Editing

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jeftha P.

**Reviewed Date:** December 04, 2025

**What do you like best about ImageKit?**

I find ImageKit incredibly valuable as our main Digital Asset Management (DAM) tool, effectively storing and organizing all our assets. Its capabilities allow us to quickly find, edit, and update our products in one consolidated place, dramatically increasing the efficiency and speed of our workflow. I greatly appreciate the DAM feature, which is exceptionally useful given our vast number of files and photos. Additionally, I love the background removal feature, as it ensures our images are clean and professional-looking. The range of options ImageKit provides for locating photos further enhances its utility. Overall, these features make ImageKit a standout solution for managing our digital assets.

**What do you dislike about ImageKit?**

I find the automatic tags feature to be somewhat lacking because they are only available in English. It would be more beneficial if they were available in my native language. Additionally, it would be great if the AI could generate more tags by recognizing the content of images and automatically apply the same tags to similar assets, as this would further speed up and simplify the process of organizing and retrieving files.

**What problems is ImageKit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use ImageKit to organize and edit assets quickly, significantly improving workflow efficiency. The DAM feature and background removal tool streamline file management, saving time and ensuring professional results.

  ### 3. Simple, Optimized, and Scalable Image CDN Solution

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Govind A. | hobbyist develper, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 16, 2025

**What do you like best about ImageKit?**

I’ve been using ImageKit.io for a month now and I’m really impressed with how easy it is to set up and integrate compared to other alternatives I tried. The installation process is straightforward, the optimization is excellent, and the platform makes handling images seamless without adding complexity to my workflow. It really feels like a plug-and-play solution for image optimization and delivery.

**What do you dislike about ImageKit?**

Earlier, the pricing gap between the free plan and the paid plan felt too steep, making it a bit difficult for small projects to scale affordably. However, with the introduction of the new middle-tier and early payment plans, this has improved a lot. I would definitely consider switching to one of those plans as my project grows.

**What problems is ImageKit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ImageKit takes care of image optimization, resizing, and fast delivery, saving me time and effort. It improves website speed, user experience, and SEO while reducing the need for manual work.

  ### 4. Easy Image Optimization, but Inconsistent Loading

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Emanuele C. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 22, 2026

**What do you like best about ImageKit?**

I like that ImageKit has a free plan and I appreciate the ease of use.

**What do you dislike about ImageKit?**

There are times when the images don't load. I have no idea why, but my images meet the requirements, although sometimes they load and sometimes they don't, even refreshing they reappear.

**What problems is ImageKit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use ImageKit as a CDN to serve optimized images.

  ### 5. Effortless Image Management with ImageKit

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** gaurav r.

**Reviewed Date:** September 13, 2025

**What do you like best about ImageKit?**

I find ImageKit to be incredibly user-friendly and cost-effective, which supports easy management of our news portal's image load. ImageKit has significantly improved our website’s speed and performance by reducing loading times and automatically optimizing images. The intuitive dashboard makes uploading and organizing images hassle-free for my developer team. ImageKit being a product of India, with data centers in Delhi and Mumbai, offers locality advantages aligning with my requirement to target the Indian audience. The seamless and quick setup process and the support for organized and high-quality image optimization streamline our content delivery.

**What do you dislike about ImageKit?**

I would want the ability for a small organization like us to customize our plan. There are some features that are not useful for us, and we would definitely want those at a cheaper price.

**What problems is ImageKit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ImageKit optimizes heavy images, enhancing website speed and ranking. It automates image optimization, reducing manual tasks and human errors, and ensures high-quality, optimized images, improving user experience significantly.

  ### 6. Powerful, seamless image optimization and delivery for Sparkbites

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Eduardo C. | Diseñador UI y Frontend, Design, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 23, 2025

**What do you like best about ImageKit?**

The automatic optimization, real-time resizing, and global CDN have been game-changers. ImageKit integrates seamlessly into our existing workflow without much setup, making it easy to deliver crisp images quickly while keeping performance high. The developer-friendly docs and responsive customer support also make implementation smooth. On Sparkbites, all image assets are routed through ImageKit. And I want to use imagekit on more projects

**What do you dislike about ImageKit?**

The dashboard UI could be more intuitive at times — for example, navigating between different image settings can feel a bit clunky.

**What problems is ImageKit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ImageKit solves the problem of slow image loading and manual image optimization. By delivering automatically optimized, cached images via a global CDN, ImageKit has dramatically improved page load speeds and Core Web Vitals on Sparkbites. This not only enhances the user experience but also helps with SEO and keeps bandwidth costs lower without requiring manual image edits.

  ### 7. Extremely easy to use, as flexible or simple as you could possibly need from an image host.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Adam G. | Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 16, 2025

**What do you like best about ImageKit?**

The online dashboard and media library management make working with lots of images across multiple elements of our website a breeze. Marketing and designers have almost no necessary onboarding needed to hit the ground running using ImageKit. Ingreation with our site has been seemless and the extensive amount of options present to manipulate images on the fly or at content delivery.

ImageKit has become the backbone image provider of our image-heavy product. Implementation was easy with almost no learning curve.

**What do you dislike about ImageKit?**

URL endpoints are great for tracking, but it would be nice to be able to set which endpoint you wanted a batch of images to go to so when you copy/paste out urls, they're already ready. This is a small quip - obviously this can be setup on the integration side, but would be nice be able to establish before batching.

Only other quip, like others have said, a pricing tier between free and Pro would be nice.

**What problems is ImageKit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We're a small team that needed a quick and robust solution right away. Our product was hitting V1 in 6 months, and I as the sole developer and designer didn't have the time to onboard, or teach other employees extensively about using the media management system - but ImageKit's simple (but robust when you dig in) web interface was a no-brainer for even non tech savvy folks to hop on and start loading images for our content streams. I can't begin to imagine setting up s3 buckets and explaining headers and cache control to our content management team.

  ### 8. Simple, and just works

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lars R. | Backendudvikler, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 10, 2025

**What do you like best about ImageKit?**

We have integrated imagekit to our s3 storage. The setup is simple and just works. The userinterface is intuitve. As a developer who uses many pieces of software for our applications its awesome to have a piece of software that requires so little setup.
The pricing fits our startup really well. We can start for free and then pay a premium once we start to get a revenue

**What do you dislike about ImageKit?**

As a startup the pricing is really fair as it is free.
The free tier does have some minor limitation. One of them is something we would like to pay for, But the step up is too expensive. It would be nice if there was some smaller tiers that would unlock some features.

**What problems is ImageKit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use imagekit for all our images. They load fast and we decouple the resizing logic from the backend to the frontend.

  ### 9. Great platform with a lot of functionality and affordable

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Christian B. | Director of IT, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 09, 2025

**What do you like best about ImageKit?**

The Flexibility of choosing the hosting of our image (wasabi instead of s3) or to use their own, the Ruby gem for interacting with the api and the integration in the rails ecosystem, the flexible way to generate URLs and transformations, and nascent support for AI

**What do you dislike about ImageKit?**

A dedup facility to find duplicate images easily might be nice. The ability to append the desired image format to a url (e.g. .jpeg, .png) instead of specifying it as a query string parameter would be ideal.

**What problems is ImageKit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Solves optimizing the delivery of optimized images for our assets by using simple URL parameters and automatically uses the most modern format for optimized delivery

  ### 10. A controlled media library with seamless management and effortless usability.

**What do you dislike about ImageKit?**

I would like to see a price tier beneath premium

**What problems is ImageKit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

  ### 19. Imagekit Review

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Manash M. | Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 18, 2023

**What do you like best about ImageKit?**

I most like to use Imagekit is that it is easy to use and easy to embed or link the images to the website for my client's project. And they give us to use the platform free of cost. Of course, they give you limited storage in free but it can useful to beginners.

**What do you dislike about ImageKit?**

What I most dislike about Imagekit is that they allow only uploading videos of 25MB. If they increase the size of the video to upload then it will be the best platform to use for video files also.

**What problems is ImageKit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

If they allow uploading videos of more than 25MB then it will be a great option for beginners to use this platform easily and host their videos without any worry. Because other platforms are charged very costly to upload videos.

  ### 20. Page Size Reduction up to 30%

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aman A. | Software Developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 16, 2022

**What do you like best about ImageKit?**

Images play a crucial role in improving web performance, and Imagekit CDN helps us to achieve the same.

3. Using Imagekit, we improve our page loading speed and get benefits in SEO.
4. Using Imagekit Dashboard, we can easily manage our images and get the detail about their usage.
5. Good Customer Support.

**What do you dislike about ImageKit?**

There is no such point of dislike for the Imagkit, but one thing we would like the Imagekit team to work on is if the user has a bad-quality network, then it should serve low-quality images.

**What problems is ImageKit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Fast dynamically Loading, high-quality images and SEO Benefits.

  ### 21. Excellent for storing image, good for video

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Akash K. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 17, 2023

**What do you like best about ImageKit?**

Unlimited free image processing. Pricing and experience with storage and processing images are excellent. Enough free credit to test and build before starting to pay for production.

**What do you dislike about ImageKit?**

Need improvement with pricing when storing video. Bandwidth and storage charges are high. Need to allow larger-size videos for the free tier so that users can test during development.

**What problems is ImageKit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I need a reliable product for image processing and lossless compression. So far imageKit seems to be an excellent product serving the purpose. Image compression is very impressive.

  ### 22. Used ImageKit for learning

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tun H. | Junior Teacher, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 18, 2023

**What do you like best about ImageKit?**

The registration on ImageKit is uncomplicated. It's easy to use, supports many formats and has useful features for image and video formats. The free tier is enough for learning and doesn't expire.

**What do you dislike about ImageKit?**

So far nothing actually. Everything I want to do works.

**What problems is ImageKit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In a project for learning I'm storing files which users uploads to a RESTful API written in node.js. It works without any issues.

  ### 23. One stop solution for all image transformations

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 01, 2022

**What do you like best about ImageKit?**

We faced no issues on image transformations after moving to imagekit. It was a very critical piece for our team because we are a social app

**What do you dislike about ImageKit?**

For some months, we started sending video files in image transformations which imagekit couldn't process, but it was getting added to bandwidth usage. We were not aware of it until I randomly checked the imagekit dashboard and figured out that we had utilised almost all our bandwidth. We had to pay more than 1000$ extra to cover this.
I can think of 2 solutions to this problem, either alert the customer if the daily usage goes beyond a certain threshold(which can be determined by average daily usage) or imagekit gives control to the user to select what types of files should be processed.

**What problems is ImageKit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Image transformation. We were earlier using a self-hosted solution, which was very hard to maintain. After moving to imagekit, we no longer look back to handling media transformations

  ### 25. Satisfied is user friendly

It's great how easy it is to apply transforms, especially size and quality. That way I never have to request an image with a larger file size than needed

**What do you dislike about ImageKit?**

Bulk uploading images from your own computer is horrible. I had 3k images I needed to upload and drag and drop only let you do 200 at a time. Same with the file picker. And once the images are uploaded the file browser doesn't have the features needed for knowing what files you have uploaded already. A simple list, sortable by filename, and by date uploaded, is sorely needed.

I ended up having to write my own scripts to do the uploads and verify the upload once it was all done.

**Recommendations to others considering ImageKit:**

Try it out! They have a very generous free tier

**What problems is ImageKit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm hosting product photos for a webshop.
