Best thing is the price right now. Also they have a clean GUI (although that is partially a consequence of minimal features). Their desktop client isn't a huge resource hog. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Their upload speeds are incredibly slow. While that has the slight upside of not using a lot of client bandwidth, it means that creating large images takes days or even weeks. They do mitigate this by offering to send a physical drive on loan for the customer to load, but that is also a long process due to shipping and processing times.
Since it is common for cloud backup and sync solutions to have slow transfer rates, I have multiple file and sync handlers that allow for multiple simultaneous connections as well as convenient functionality such as mounting cloud discs as virtual drives. However, none of them work with iDrive. So far, their proprietary web and desktop interface is the only way I ha e found to interact with their offering. Combined with the previous limitation above, this is why I don't currently plan to renew my subscription (and stopped utilizing it within a day after signing up).
