Selective sync could be improved. It would be more practical if files stored in the cloud were always visible in the local folder, with the option to download them directly (e.g., via right-click) when needed.

Integration between Backup and Drive is limited. A feature to send an already synced Drive folder directly to Backup, without re-uploading from the user’s computer, would greatly improve usability.

I've been using IDrive for a week and find it very user friendly and efficient. I was unsure about a few functions and asked IDrive support for advice. I am using iDrive Online with a very good experience for backing up my computers, I come from a Google Drive environment but here the experience is much more complete since I have total control if the copy has been made correctly, which in Drive is not It happened to me and I had to constantly check the equipment with the iDrive panel I have it in view and the possibility of seeing the copy files is very useful. I have a small problem on a computer on a server that is not making the copy correctly, giving an error, I would like to have a log to see the origin of the error, perhaps, I have not yet found where it is. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I found the application easy to install and use right away on my iPhone and MacBook. It was recommended by a pro user who captures many photos and videos on her iPhone, creates short form videos and recommended IDrive as one of the back up tools to augment external hard drive back ups. Being the user of frequent idrive for the past few years, i can recommend it for its security, reliability and cost effective. since handling with multiple linux servers, im satisfied with its configurations, script implementaion techniques and securities. The desktop visuals and integration was good. The idea of automatic schedulings, immediate backuping and restoration was good. The data transfers was safe and secured. This reduce my worrires on backups for my data. The upgradation of the version and editiong on backuplist was easy, the incremental bacup gives peace of mind. Support team responses and they connect to our desktop to resolve the issues was really appreciable. Overall best end for backups of data frequently. Overall experience was good, but the improvements needed at the area was older version scrips that doesnt support proper restoration even after updating the script, it works only when it is completely reinstalled. I tried this last year and found the software was ropey and unreliable. Despite my collaboration with their support dept. they were unable to resolve any of the issues I highlighted. The frequent software releases suggested that the product was not ready for market. I have tried it again his year in the hope that they will have ironed out all the faults but it does not seem much better. It does not allow you to simply upload files without manipulating the sync or backup settings in some obscure way.

It is amazing! So easy to use and robust, I needed to back up a LOT of data and photos and IDrive did the job with ease. Setting up daily backups is easy and when I went to do customized backups it was easy to do that as well. It works well in the background and doesn't lag with my other applications or slow things down. Very easy to install and get setup, works well with my system and I have total peace of mind knowing everything is backed up always and if I need it, I can simply go to the cloud and download it! The only thing I found was when I was doing a big upload and it timed out, likely on my end due to internet connection. IDrive would say 100% complete yet it was still appearing to process. I had to Google search to realize the connection may have been interupted and I started the process again. I’m an elderly person living on a limited income, so I have to be careful with what I spend. IDrive has been a blessing because it’s affordable and gives me plenty of storage without breaking the bank.
