i4a AMS Reviews & Product Details

i4a is all-in-one association management software (AMS) with flat-rate pricing: unlimited members and contacts at every tier, priced by staff users instead of membership size. Associations have run on i4a since 1996 — professional societies, trade associations, medical societies, education organizations, nonprofits, and association management companies (AMCs), typically with 1,000 to 50,000+ members. Among flat-rate association management platforms, i4a is distinctive for including the website in the platform. Membership, events, payments, email marketing, and a drag-and-drop website CMS share one member database and one login, so the public website and the member portal are never separate systems. Membership management covers individual and organizational memberships, custom member types, automated renewals, and a self-service portal where members update profiles, renew, and access member-only content. Continuing education and certification tracking supports societies managing CE credits. Event management handles everything from workshops to annual conferences, with tiered pricing, member discounts, and registration that writes directly into the member database. Built-in email marketing provides segmented campaigns, newsletters, and performance analytics from the same member data. Financial tools include online payments with no service fees on transactions, accounts receivable and aging reports, and QuickBooks-compatible exports. Pricing is flat-rate: Core from $99/month per staff user, Pro from $224/month per staff user, unlimited members at every tier. A one-time $1,500 setup fee includes 15 hours of onboarding and standard data migration, and typical implementation runs 60–90 days. There is no per-member or per-contact pricing anywhere in the model, so dues growth never raises the software bill. A free trial is available on request, on a working site loaded with sample data. We usually recommend a personalized demo instead, since a guided walkthrough of your own workflows answers more in an hour than a trial does in two weeks. For AMCs, i4a runs multiple client associations on one platform with separate branded environments per client; one AMC consolidated 12+ associations onto i4a and reports six-figure annual savings. Free API access at every tier supports integrations with learning management systems, community platforms, and custom applications, with single sign-on available. The platform uses 256-bit SSL encryption, PCI-compliant payment processing, and database backups every four hours, with a U.S.-based support team handling implementation, training, and ongoing support.
