# What retail media advertising tools give a brand the best reporting on share of voice and competitive spend so it can understand how it is doing relative to category competitors?

For digging into the data quickly, Pacvue combining cross-retailer share of voice with natural-language querying is what I'd want. Asking a direct question instead of building a report first would get a team to a decision faster during a live campaign.

I’d be careful comparing share of voice without separating paid visibility from actual category performance. A competitor can buy more visibility while losing organic rank or sales share, and the opposite can happen too. The most useful reporting would let me see those signals together so I can tell whether a competitor is genuinely gaining ground or simply spending harder for visibility.

Adbrew sounds like a strong fit for the peak-event use case you're describing. Hourly share of voice and organic rank tracking is exactly the cadence you need during a Prime Day or a promo window, when the decision window is hours rather than weeks. Stackline's broader category picture and that hourly view feel like they answer two different planning questions rather than competing for the same one.

### Comment 4

I've always been a bit wary of competitor spend estimates, like where is that number actually coming from? Stackline has the most context around it but the lag makes it hard to act on in the moment. Does anyone use that data for actual campaign decisions or is it mostly for the slides you show in quarterly reviews?
